    Exactly, playing Phoenix on the secon night of a back to back can be deadly for us...especially if we keep throwing away the ball, and dribbling off feet.

    I actually think we have a better chance of beating Boston, than Phoenix.

    If we could bring ZaZa off of the bench, I think his offensive rebounding against bench bigs could really help us win games, especially if we contiue to make unforced turnovers.

    Woody should have been gone two years ago, we are wasting time. Our plays break down 10 seconds in to the shot clock, then it is just one on one.

    It just sucked last night, Marvin went so long without a touch in the 2nd half, when Josh was chunking up junk. Marvin looks very good right now... that pump fake one dribble jump shot from around 12-15 feet can be deadly.

    Good job Hawks! Acie and BIG AL are gonna be hmmm hmmmm good. AJ could not guard me....but that is for a different thread. Good to see us grit out a win against a very good team.

    We have had tons of players come through, good and bad...the one constant is that we have not had a proven coach since Lenny.

    I think he has too much jump in his jump shot, his form is great, but sometimes it looks like his release comes when he is on the way down.

    he used to be a least servicable...that cat is a very bad basketball player....let Solo and Este have his minutes...damn.

    TLue's mid range game is just sick right now...wide open 10-15 footers are like layups for that dude.

    I am just glad we held on, last year this is the type of game we would have surely lost. Back to back after a tough loss, against a team we should beat.

    I was speaking in terms of the mental part of the game, you can change players but until the culture is changed, it is the same old...same old....do we have the mental toughness to avoid mistakes in crucial times.....the team last year just didn't have it. So...this is why I ask. Have we matured mentally or will we lose more than a few close games and not make the playoffs.

    Just wondering, teams last year ended losing streaks when they played us. If this IS the same team, we should get blown out tomorrow by the Bobcats....let's see! Marvin would help a lot....all those open jumpers from the doubling of JJ belong to Marvin, instead Smoove is knocking the paint off of the rim.

    Until Smith and ZaZa play within themselves we are in trouble. Smith can't dribble or shoot and Za Za needs to cut out the dribbling and the quadruple post moves. I think Smith is actually a bench player in this league. and Marvin will end up starting with Shelden...Smith just has not improved his dribbling or mid range game enough not to be a liability.

    if we are a 500 team, this year will be a success. Lose two games to teams with losing records at home, one team that is on a 5 game losing streak, is not the sign we have turned the corner. We are getting better, but will be an up and down team...lets hope we end up with 41 wins.

    Every time he drives, he lets out a very loud groan when trying a layup...NBA officials eat that up.

    Of course , I have only said it a million times, well before he was traded...he plays no defense...and killed ball movement...I am so glad he is gone.

    That was the best halfcourt defense the Hawks have playes in a long while.

    Man, that was the best team defense a Hawks team has played in a while...we played consistent tough defense the entire game ....for the most part, whatever the Magic got in the halfcourt, it earned. That was rather impressive.
