  3. Stephen Hunter? I hope it is Magloire, not often do you get a solid big man in the NBA, where you can see if he fits, then have the option to sign a multi year deal or trade him if he does not.
  4. I'm not sure who'll start, and I doubt Woody does either yet, but after summer leagues, my best bet is that we start Speedy/Lue JJ/Salim Marvin/Chill Smith/Shelden Zaza/?? Yeah, people just don't want to hear that Smoove/Marvin will start, but they will.
  5. Man, if cats paid attention they would have seen Marvin/Smoove ballin TOGETHER at the end of the season.
  6. [quote SOLD! Where do we get Chris Mullin to sign off on that? Bierdrins is a young stud I would love to see in a Hawks jersey. Why and how is Bierdrins a young stud?
  7. Why..we need bigs that play like bigs...Shelden fits.
  8. I suggested last week, that maybe the reason the Al deal is delayed is because BK was working on another deal, that would affect what he wants from Indiana. Trading Chills, i guess that depends on if they see Magloire as a 4-5 year option.
  9. Actually, if anyone was watching, Marvin started to play well at the end of last season!
  10. Salim is a scorer, this staff should let him do what he does.
  11. Are u hearing that a player will be involved? Or are we just getting air for Al?
  12. Could it be that BK is waiting on sealing another deal with another team, this affecting the Pacers deal and what he wants from Indiana? If this is a done deal, I hate to see what the alternative would be.
  13. JJ is a better basketball player than Redd right now.
  14. I can take the fact the media thinks we are bad now...because we are...where I have problem is the thinking that this team can't grow onto a good one...because we supposedly have too many forwards ....LOL
  15. Yeah when you can get the best player in a draft, how can that be a mistake on any level.
  16. Yeah, but if let the media tell it, we are in the boat with the Knicks. The media acts as if we have no talent and are going no where fast...I don't think that is the case. You can not deny the talent that BK has brought here. Although I may not agree with every move, there is talent in the ATL, young and improving talent. I am not sold on Woody though, but that's another entirely different post.
  17. Having Harrison & Magloire, we might as well guarantee playoffs. (If Woody can coach and chew bubble gum) I doubt we get both. I pray we get one.
  18. A lot of teams are starting to play small, lack of good big men. Heck the Pistons played small and won a championship. I am saying, if the thinking around the league that the game is becoming smaller/quicker, we should be sitting right where we need to be with this young versatile quick team.
  19. " But it's clear that the increasingly faster pace in today's NBA -- in which athletes like Harrington are so coveted because they can play the 3 or the 4 -- has affected Magloire's trade value" I took this quote form the Stein chat...but it seems to be the thinking around the NBA that the game is becoming a smaller quicker game. Where traditional 4s become 5s and players are capalble of playing multiple positions. (Shelden will eventully be our starting center.) My question, why the hate for the Hawks and BK in the media for drafting guys that can play multiple positions.? Seems like we are a tad bit ahead of the curve, especially in the east.
  20. Everything you said is correct.
  21. Chillz spending the majority of his time guarding backup 2s is the least of our worries.
  22. Threads like this happen when trades are pending.
  23. Edwards does not belong in the NBA, quantity does not mean quality. We need a vet big that can play. I like ZZ, think he is a steal..but we need another vet big to pair with ZZ, Esteban and Shelden are not ready to play a lot of minutes on a playoff team.
