Exodus...u still think MArvin/Smoove won't be our starting forwards when the season opens? I think Shelden will end up starting at the 5 for us, within the next 3 years. They need to let Salim do what he does.

They used him as a scorer of the bench last year...now they are tryin to get him to play the point. (that came from Woody's mouth). Salim is a scorer, let him do what he does and don't try to burden him with tryin to run the offense...he needs to be able to guard ones, come off screens hit open jumpshots and get into the lane. I don't want to see him spending the majority of his time pounding the ball at the top of the key. Just don't want to see him misused like Diaw.

If you paid attention to the times where Marvin/Smoove started together, you can see both developing and building chemistry. Marvin was tough coming down the stretch, looks like that has spilled over into the summer league.

"If I recall right, I gave Marvin 20 games to do something. " Which is still just a stupid thing to do. We all tend to try to project, but 20 games or 50 or 1 season really does not tell us how good a player will be after year 3 or year 5. Sometimes is just depends on the team and the situation under which they develop.

I think Shelden will eventually have to play the 5 spot for us. Smoove Nowitski KG Kenyon Martin Antoine Walker Sheed Jermaine Oneal...this is what the 4 spot is evolving into...versatile mobile 4s, Shelden will be the new center of the NBA, the Ben Wallace type. What used to be a 4 in the NBA will be 5s.

How many years does AI have left...can we get him without trading Smoove ZZ Marvin JJ? Will we exceed the cap to add vets to the bench....because this is what is needed to win a championship.

So all we have to do is give up Lue/Al to get AI?

Man please...u take what a hyped up kid watching his BELOVED jazz summer league team says to heart... He is so excited his Jazz played well that he is prolly full of theatric quotes, it is never as good as it seems and never as bad.

He may be the player you expect him to be...but right now as of today Marv/Smoove are better.

I really have no real expectations for Shelden this year, my concern is a greater one and that is the direction of this franchise. We have an opprtunity to maybe get Magloire in here and a Lo Wright...we have a chance to do some good things THIS year...but I just don't trust Woodson right now. I think Shelden will be fine...I expected to be a sub this year from the time he was drafted because Marvin and Smoove began to build chemistry at the end of last year.

Glad that we focused all week on defense....watch Woodson come out and say the same tired stuff from last year..."we have not even worked on offense yet"...blah blah blah. I just hope we looked somewhat organized, because with Sloan coaching the Jazz, I know they did.

Thats why we need Magloire here to start ...and ZZ to come off the bench...this team would be right in the thick of things. I really don't trusr Woodson at all though, I think he is in over his head. We always eem to be out coached in close games and you get the feeling that he is not getting the best out of the talent he has.
