Letting a fan in a draft war room in any sport is not a good idea. Although, it would be interesting to see.

I guess if it is based on the "fact" that the Hawks will not be a playoff team in the next 5-7 years and the "fact" the Hawks won't get national exposure with JJ leading us from a doormat to the playoffs...then your opinion must be true. Putting aside that JJ is only 25, just starting to play his best basketball...can be voted in by the coaches as a 1 2 or 3 ....then yeah, I can see how you can come to see that JJ will never be an all star. After all, you based your opinion on facts, which are also your opinions.

Please people, I come to this board to talk Hawks because I really can't find many "real" people to have a serious conversation about what is going on with the team. I have learned when dealing with Diesel that he sometimes bases his opinions on facts. Unfortunately the "facts" are also his opinions..example did he just say that JJ will never go to an all star game, this is his opinion, however this will spawn several opinions about JJ, that in his mind are based on the "fact" that JJ will never be an all star...follow me? Knowing the above...Diesel can be amusing and interesting.

Exactly, good coaches get the most out of each player, players respond to different types of motivation.

He would have racked up on rebounds, putbacks and wide open jump shots...which he shoots very well. Given the same amount of time he would avg more points and rebounds than Diaw.

I wonder if that the first time a player has that many total blocks and bpg and did not get ONE vote for all defensive team? Not one vote.

We should know by now, sometimes how a player performs really depends how they fit with a team. If we had a coach that knew what he was doing, we would have a defined idea of how we want to play and we now could go get players that fit. Why do we always have to have the coach with no experience? I digress....carry on.

I would loved to have seen that lineup in a triangle offense...ZZ is not a bad passer....JJ and Chills would have thrived.

I think we should try to get Flip to start with JJ, and bring Lue off the bench....playoff teams usually have quality depth.

I think Flip has the potential to develop a game similair to Billups.

Flip Murray...trading AL to the Wizards for Etan Thomas & Michael Ruffin drafting Sheldon Williams (if not Aldridge) and signing Pryzbilla get this team to the playoffs next year? Flip/JJ would make a very interesting backcourt.

People here thought Boris was slow and couldn't score also, people like you, now you are saying BK sucks for trading Boris..... All I am saying is you don't know as much about these youngs guys as you think u do. I don't think any of us really knows how talented these young players are and will be. I bet if you plug Chills and Salim in Phoenix or J Smith in San Antonio or JJ next to Wade in Miami or ZZ in Dallas or Marvin at the SF with the Clippers Fans like u would jump off bridges once they see the talent we had.

He is the 6th pick in THAT draft worthy.

I like Shelden also, but would not be upset if we chose Marcus, he looks like he has that "it" quality. I really think we would be better off NOW..with vet big men and youth to groom in the backcourt.

Childress would go to Phoenix right now and avg. 18 and 10...then would he be a six man? What Chills does on this team is really no indication of how talented he is. Unfortunately we may never see how much talent we have, as it may leave before Woodson learns how to coach or is fired.

So why do you blame Chilldres for his numbers....but blame Woody for Boris'??????? My point is before you say our young guys suck and label them a bust after 1 or 2 years....are you not smart enough about the game to understand tha coaching and player development has an impact on young players. So if we trade Chills and he avgs 18 and 9 while playing SF with a better team is he still a bust?

There is a very good chance the Clippers will be in the WCF...did not think I would live to say that.

Don't think they could be the Clipps, EB and Kaman would have their way. Phoenix has no big men...thats why Kwame has success.

Yeah basically the media and some fans saying stuff like Boris was the worst player in the league. If you watched Boris you could see in had a ton of skills..just beacuse he could not play the point here, he was labled a bust...just ignorant fans mostly following what the media says. Boris is a good basketball player...always has been, why he won't be a star...just not assertive enough.

U r missing the point...in the playoffs teams force teams like Dallas and Phoenix to play a little halfcourt offense...Phoenix's halfcourt O consists of Nash dribbling around looking for holes...when defenses don't leave to help on Nash he has no open shooters to kick to, so he has to finish...he is really the only player they have that creates....wouldn't they love JJ getting in the lane shooting that tear drop in the last three minutes of the game....of course they would.

Man, JT and Diaw wanted to leave...Pryz chose to sign with Portland....I would have kept Nazr. First and foremost we need guys that want to play here, not guys that are held captive..u don't win that way. Before u go loading up on role players to support your stars you have to figure out if you have stars...I think JJ is a star..not sure how good he will be...but that is the only star on this team...our youngins are developing..we are not sure what they will be just yet...hell they might all be role players...then we we have to go out abd get another "star" to help JJ carry the load.
