  1. If Woody needed to convince BK that this team needs bigs then we are in trouble.
  2. Most of us have been shouting and screaming to sign Reggie for a good while now.
  3. "Him at the 4 is beyond ridiculous." Why?
  4. He played 2 guard last season for a while.
  5. "I am telling you - this team could be MUCH better than we expected." You came to this conclusion using a video game?
  6. We probably did go after Swift....seems Swift cared a little more about winning than money.....can't fault him for that.
  7. I asked the question last week, is Edwards a RFA....nobody replied....I thought I read that somewhere.
  8. Today is the Carolina Pros game in Chapel Hill.....I went to the barbershop today and Sean Many was in there....it was said that the Hawks would not let Marvin play in the game today....Sean is playing and so is Raymond...and Chris Paul.....anyway thought it may have something to do with his injury that slowed him in the summer leagues.
  9. Reggie Evans signed where?
  10. Can someone tell the last all star to come out of Gonzaga? or Mt Zion Christian Academy or Santa Clara We know at least those schools had one, why can't Childress be the ONE from Stanford? We really don't know what Childress will become...but he has the talent to become whatever he wants.
  11. I am pretty sure we have contacted him...maybe he does not want to play for us......money is not everything to ALL players. I would love to have him on our bench.... Songaila or Evans. Anybody heard anything about Googs?
  12. "A career 6th man".....WTF?
  13. Exactly right.....hell who know maybe we can get lucky for once...anything is possible.
  14. Previewing the Draft By Chris Monter From the pages of the May issue of Hawk Talk, the Atlanta Hawks’ official monthly magazine. Hawks Draft Central | NBA.com Draft Section The 2004 NBA Draft will once again be highlighted by the high number of underclassmen and foreign players who will enter the annual talent hunt. However, this year’s edition is younger than ever, which means that there might be an adjustment period for many of the top prospects. Many of the likely top picks are so young that they can’t even legally celebrate on draft night with a glass of champagne. The winners and losers of the 2004 NBA Draft will likely not be known for several years as this year’s first round will likely feature less than six seniors. This means that teams will draft for potential. This draft figures to be much like the 2001 NBA Draft, which saw only four seniors picked and only one four-year player picked among the top 19 picks. The Hawks hold the sixth pick, the 17th overall choice, and three second-round selections. The following is a look at the top ten players at each position, scouting reports on the five at each post and others to watch for the June 24th NBA Draft. TOP TEN CENTERS HT WT CL SCHOOL/COUNTRY 1.Pavel Podkolzine 7-5 303 19 Russia 2.Predrag Samardzski 7-0 240 17 Macadonia 3.Peter John Ramos 7-3 300 18 Puerto Rico 4.David Harrison 7-0 260 JR Colorado 5.Ha Seung-Jin 7-3 300 19 South Korea 6.Rafael Araujo 6-11 280 SR BYU 7.Robert Swift 7-1 245 SR* Bakersfield (CA) 8.Jackson Vroman 6-10 220 SR Iowa State 9.Nigel Dixon 6-9 320 SR Western Kentucky 10.John Edwards 7-0 270 SR Kent State LOL....
  15. If this guy can rebound an knock people down he is already better for us than Peja. I don't miss Peja...I miss Pryz and Nazr.
  16. If Jason Collier can play center..... I would rather have either Evans or Songaila as backup center than Collier.
  17. Darius Songaila or Reggie Evans...I wonder if they are too pricey for us at this point. I rather have crazy ass Bo Outlaw than Hendu.
  18. Reggie Evans....has Darius Songalia signed yet?
  19. Let me get this straight.....You like Darko....but you r not sold on Marvin....good grief.
  20. Yeah ...I don't see 40 wins out of this team as is...unless we sign some real big men...it is going to be hard to win 25 games with ZaZa being your only good big guy...I like Al...but we need another BIG. I wish they would go ahead and get to signin'...want to see who fills out this roster.
  21. People here tend to regard other teams trash as potential....but if Darko were a Hawk it would be brutal on this board he would have been labeled a bust in his first scrimmage.....
  22. This is the same player that played in the summer leagues right?.....Did u see him play? "I reported the other day that he is weak under the basket," This dude reported it because it is true....no excuses. We have a soft big man in Collier we don't need another.
  23. He is horrible....and slow....and not athletic at all....and on top of that a weak finisher for somebody his size.
