When the core of your team is not ready to compete at a playoff level...why go sign a vet who dominates the ball and makes a ton of money.

A....this will hender the development and confidence of the young guys.

B....You essentially waste your money because usually the big money guys you buy are on the slide downward when your youngins are ready to compete and/or you have a potential star in one of the young guys who u need to pay to keep.

I am not saying we should not spend money..but we can't spend Shaq, Duncan Garnett money and get Marbury Swift Redd type players...we need value.

Yep ...same situation we got from under with Babcock....Marbury & Walker...our young people who never touch the ball. If we can't get Dalembert...try to sign

We don't have to try to hit grand slams here ....because the majority of our team is not yet ready to compete at playoff level.

We need to sign youth and value.

I wonder why he repeatedly chooses to leave out the names of other free agents we contacted on day 1...he implies that we put all our eggs into the Z/Ray basket...now we are DOOMED...he is such a cartoon.

I would not want Kwame Brown on any team I am apart of.......if Kwame was drafted by the Hawks the same people who want him here now, would be calling him a bust and trying to ship him out of town.

The grass in not always greener...hell I would rather play Al at center than Kwame Brown we can do better than that.

The only way I would think about signing him is if we can get Dalembert in the middle...I think him at center and Smoove could erase penetration caused by Williams' lack of D.

Remember how JT would constantly allow penetration....might as well ben a lay up line.

Yes he would because his philosphy is get the best talent available, regardless of position.

I don't who would question his toughness...he was the toughest player on that team as a 18 year old freshman.

Please...I have seen a lot of Gadzuric...Collier is probably one softest 5s in the league...he really brings nothing we need. U don't avg 8 rebounds in 22 minutes standing around being soft.

thats why Swift would back Gadzuric up.

I doubt Knight is think of him as a franchise point...but more in the context as he will play some point NEXT SEASON...and we will see how it goes.

As a back up center...I want him to destroy penetration and rebound....think he could do that....then again I wouldn't mind Stromile as a back up 5.

I wonder what Jerome James is thinking now...what type of money or role is he looking for.....man I would sign Gadzuric/Jerome James ...bye to Collier ....bring over david anderson if I could....sign Marko Jaric...and play ball.

Everybody is mentioning Chandler & Dalembert, but I don't think they are that great. ....especially if they ask superstar money. If Al..Smoove... Marvin...Chill are going to be the core of our team...we really don't need to spend a lot of money on a center....however we do need somebody to go down in the paint and get nasty....Gadzuric.

JT wanted to leave...its the typical ....I'm not good enough to help turn this franchise around so let me go to a good team where I can just be a role type player.
