  1. Great investment for when Gallo's time is up. If we re-sign JC, you're also looking at them sharing the same contract timeline over the next 4 years. JJ may be ready to step in as a starter when its time to re-sign him, and may allow us to move on from JC if he gets too expensive before his third contract. This gives us a lot of flexibility now and going forward. No matter what happens with JC, or whether we decide to move Gallo early. JJ has time to learn and develop.
  2. My logic is based on, if Im trading them I want it to be for a clear improvement, otherwise Im not interested in moving a young veteran that's already grown in my system and entering their prime for an unknown. A) I'd trade JC for a top 3 pick in this draft, Mobley would be worth it. B) I wouldn't trade Trae at all C) Kev...there a ton of shooters throughout the lottery, but I like him more as a total package. Top 4 pick for him (Suggs, Green, Cade). D) Top 2 pick for Dre. None of the wings outside the top 2 with his size are as complete as he is on both ends. E) Cam would have to go for #1 overall, Cade . That's it. Cam has star potential and star size. Cade is his only peer F) For OO, Top 5 if I'm not looking at position and just want the best value for him.
  3. I love how the trophy is made of "glass". Good one NBA
  4. @NBASupes Based on your info, my opinion is that Cam is in the headlines so much not because we are actively shopping him, but because teams are specifically calling about him more than the others. Everyone is available for the right price, he just happens to be the one everyone covets due to his playoff showing and overall potential. They like DAH, Kev, etc...but they love Cam. Would you agree with this?
  5. People are going to be butthurt when this rule changes nothing about Trae's game. I just hope that it's called evenly for everyone. There was nothing more annoying than the refs ignoring continuation on Trae's fouls and then allowing continuation on the other end on way more obscure foul calls. Call it fair. Just because Trae got good at it, don't all of a sudden become biased. If its no shot for him, then it's no shot for your guy too.
  6. I like Dunn if we want to keep him or trade him. I think he will improve and help us next year after we paid him to rehab all season. But I understand the need to establish a long term solution at BU PG. Solo said we were missing a dog in our main rotation. Dunn is a dog. If he could play his way on the 2nd unit, then he is worth keeping. If he will only ever be number 3, then you do have to make better use of the money and roster spot. Business is business.
  7. Sheesh. You do not trade that away! Lol
  8. And Pop is trying to get them all to run a motion offense. Makes sense
  9. Cade must really be something special. He looks good to me, but nothing Earth shattering.
  10. Cam is going to beast. Just stay healthy and consistent and the whole world will be his oyster.
  11. Just for clarification, I thought they were implying that we could restart the clock on a player who is currently on their rookie contract by forfeiting a pick to the league. Extending the window of time required to have to re-sign them until later. That was my general understanding. But all of these pop ups saying we are open to trading Cam for a 1st round pick are absolutely trash and I am not down for that. If we only have to surrender a late 1st to gain 2 more years of rookie scale Cam or OO, I think that's a boss idea. But more and more it sounds like I interpreted things very wrong.
  12. Does this have any legs? Im not familiar with such a mechanism. But for guys like Cam or OO it could make sense since their first 2 seasons will be kind of a wash with so much developmental time missed to injury.
  13. Sexton is a young stud, but there is nothing that suggests he will be better than McCollum and enough to convince Dame to stay, which is the only reason you part with McCollum. He is the only asset that can net the Blazers a significant piece that could move the needle for them. Trading for Sexton would just be spinning their wheels and delaying the inevitable Dame exit. Portland has to come harder than to keep Dame around
  14. Sexton and Love for McCollum is not a good move to me. McCollum is better now than Sexton is and maybe will ever be. It doesn't solve their issue with backcourt size next to Dame. Then you add the toxic Love contract and he hasn't shown that he can contribute at a high level anymore. I get that McCollum is their best trade piece and makes the most sense because the fit with Dame has always been janky. But Sexton makes you smaller when they should be trying to find a playmaker with size to complement Dame who is a SG trapped in a PG's body.

    Dwight??

That last part was true until about 2 years ago. His reputation has dramatically improved since his time after the Hawks. And he really wasn't that bad with us.

    Dwight??

That's fair. If he can't get it done on the court then we should leave it at that. My point was using all the old narrative stuff against him is irrelevant now and doesn't portray on court performance. If he sucks he sucks. But he was definitely a load against us in the regular season. And maybe OO is just really THAT good. We saw him hold his own against Embiid and Giannis, are they trash too?
  17. Bogi can do it, Kev, etc.... that's fine and dandy. We need multiple PG's on the roster. At least 2 but preferably 3. If we find out Bogi can thrive running the 2nd unit, great. But we shouldn't go to in to an 82 game season without a plan in place if Trae gets hurt. We need viable options on the 2nd unit and on reserve.
  18. I mean some of it you cant help. Guys like Stephen A, Wilbon, Mike Greenberg, Skip, etc.... they have held their seats at the table for so long and have tenure. Then, there is the player aspect where so many former players are finally getting seats at the table and able to offer their unique insight and perspectives. This has always reflected the sport's demographic. So while there are former female athletes out there, there are exponentially more men, and when you consider the most popular sports are football and basketball, you see that reflected in the coverage via the analysts demographics. Those are just the natural, uncontrollable aspects of sports media. There is a major push for diversity, and Rachel Nichols just got heat for pointing out that they would rather replace women with other women, than create more spots for women or replace a man. These things are still a work in progress for sure. As far as the eye candy part, I mean, most of the dudes that cover sports are very good looking and in great shape too. The majority of sports reporters are former athletes both male and female, so they are naturally going to be hotter than average.

    Dwight??

Dwight has evolved a lot over the past few seasons. He has embraced his current role in the league. There is no reason to hold old stuff against him in 2021. It's time to move on. If his on court ability is not your cup of tea then just leave it at that. But he can still play, and he has blossomed as a reserve big man for a team that wants to contend.
  20. Smart people, educate me. Does this mean that they could not agree on a contract before FAgency began? Schlenk said his goal was to get a deal done before he hit the market. Is this the front office throwing in the towel saying, "if you think you can find more money, be my guest, but we aren't budging past this number"?
  21. Sucks for OO. Was really looking forward to him getting much needed development work this offseason. He may bounce back but, next year might be a lost cause after we sign a suitable replacement to fill in for the first 3 months of the season. Ughhhh these injuries never end
  22. Damn Sarah I was totally about you girl lol First Molly, now this lol
  23. The teams with multiple 1st rd picks always have a "better draft" than the guys with only one pick.
