  1. People think its an either-or scenario with JC. "He's not worth Max dollars, we need to get rid of him" I think he stays for less than the max. Next Capela and JC are easy to defend come playoff time? a) we dont make it to the playoffs without them in the regular season b) The Knicks disagree with this assessment. Can we put our emotions aside, and just recognize the Sixers are a tough matchup for us inside. The Nets wouldn't have a chance to slow down our PnR. The Bucks would be better than the Nets inside but no where close to the Sixers defense. We need to figure out Philly going forward, but do not think for one second that any team without Embiid and MAYBE Gobert could possibly effect our bigs like this series. Let's remember the original goalposts for this season and not hit the panic button because we are going against a better team than us in the 2nd round of our first ever playoff run. Relax
  2. Here is what we know Trae is a star. Elevating to superstar status before our eyes in the postseason. He is who we hoped he would be. Capela had the highest impact on winning for us the regular season by almost every metric. He dominates the paint against 95% of the league. He has run in to the other 5% this series. Bogi is highly skilled and has balls of steel, but he has a ceiling and is darn near at it at age 28. He is Jrue Holiday for us. 3rd wheel at best JC is the definition of efficiency. His offensive ceiling has likely been reached as he is not a creator. His defensive impact continues to improve as it should for a younger guy. His contract wishes are the only negative people can hold against him at this point. He impacts winning, period. We need a second star. Dre? Cam? Maybe one day. But that's the difference between us and the elite teams. They all have 2+ All Stars. We have 1 and a handful of potentials.
  3. Got it. Curry is better than Simmons now. Harris and Embiid should be easier matchups than little Curry. Heard. Thanks for playing.
  4. They both need to give us more. Didn't say John was better. John has a tougher matchup and is still around his normal numbers. For all the attention Trae is getting Bogi is not making them pay the way you're implying he is.
  5. Bogi has an easier assignment on both ends of the floor, true or false? He should be giving us more going against Curry, but he can't get going either. So what he opened the game hot, he got taken out of the gameplan in the second half. JC is battling, with elite players. Game 2 was bad. Tonight he kept at it when Bogi disappeared down the stretch. Numbers are for people whose only arguments is how they feel and their eye ball test which is purely subjective.
  6. Squawk logic Bogi for the series 18 and 5 on 43% shooting = He got it JC for the series 17 and 7 on 61% shooting = he aint got it? Bogi is being asked to guard diet Curry JC is being asked to guard and go against MVP, All-NBA, and All-Defense caliber players. Ya'll kill me with this. Capela 8 points, Kev 3 points, but JC is/was the problem? Just stop while you're ahead.
  7. Quite possible. I didn't notice but screw it why not.
  8. Im not. I think that Cam is fool's gold and the moment will be far too big for a guy that was already playing too fast for his feet before the injury. For every good defensive possession, he will bring a bad turnover, off balanced miss, or offensive foul. Cam looked rusty on the court before he went out for 4 months. He is not the hero we need.
  9. We are making a huge mistake by not starting Kev. They are playing 4 on 5 defensively and honing in on Trae. Simmons has Trae, Embiid has the entire paint. Everyone else can cheat because of that. It's gut check time Nate. We have to shorten the bench, tell these guys to stop the reaching so that they don't get in foul trouble. Run an 8 man unit next game with Kev starting, Lou, Gallo and OO off the bench.
  10. It really starts on defense. Discipline. Stay with the shooters, run with the cutters, hands up and not out. Joel will eat whether you like it or not. He is just like Trae, he will either score in his own or at the line, or both. No sense in getting handsy with him and doubling, just prevent the offensive boards and dump offs. We got killed with easy buckets by role players. Embiid had his worst offensive game and we suffered our worst defeat. Its not him, its us.
  11. I was only semi serious. Just wanted to join in on all the doomers
  12. Collins makes up for it with amazing hands on offense. People don't give him enough credit for having WR like catching ability.
  13. Glad the team hasn't quit unlike some of y'all chicken littles on here. Crybaby asses need to go over to the Falcons message board with the rest of the doom and gloomers. NBA stands for No B***es Allowed. Its game 3. Man up
  14. Fyi, Clippers came back from 0-2 after losing homecourt. Series is 1-2. We still have another game in Atlanta. Dont throw in the towel just yet. You don't quit just because it got hard. We thought it was going to be easy, but its time to regroup and look in the mirror. Philly needs 4 wins to advance, not 2.
  15. I guess Philly is exposing everyone now huh? Capela can't score without Trae spoon feeding him. John disappearing act Trae can't be effective off the ball Nobody in red can defend without fouling. We live by the 3 die by the 3 Nate can't beat teams better talented teams in the playoffs.
  16. Jalen Rose must've visited the Swag shop, that boy looking real crispy on set right now lok
  17. Tremendously sloppy first quarter. Turnovers and 2nd chance points killed us. Protect the ball, secure the rebound. We will be okay
  18. Im loving the Old Skool soundtrack by ESPN during the breaks lol
  19. Looking very disorganized. Guys need to slow down and take advantage of the aggressive defense by Philly, not fall for their baiting our passes
  20. This will be the first game of the series I get to watch. I was driving up to Charleston during game 1 and out to dinner with the entire family during game 2. Daddy's back home now and ready for the action tonight, hopefully we protect home court. I love Bogi's attitude that every game get's treated like an elimination game from here on out. Keep that energy. Never say die
  21. Im waiting for Gallinari and Bogi to go off for 30 like they did in the regular season on several occasions. Home games are where the role players feel the most confident. I just want our guys to let it rip and have one of those huge offensive games (not just 1 half like in game 1).
  22. With Dre out for good, it's time to re organize and re strategize whats best for the team success going forward. Solo is right. Dre was a huge factor in us winning the last series. Who is left that can best replicate the impact that Dre provided? None other than Red Velvet himself. Kev is clearly a different player than Dre, but he has the best 2-Way impact potential of anyone to step in for Dre. Solo is a rabid defender, but his lack of offensive prowess allows Philly to hone in more on Trae. Trae, flanked by Kev and Bogi gives us two release valves to drain open shots, dribble up the court, run pick and roll and attack the basket. It allows the starters to be a lot more dynamic when the pressure ramps up against the ball handlers. Defensively, we have 3 guys to worry about. Embiid, Harris, Curry. Im not worried about losing Solo's defense because Simmons is just that much of a non factor. Plus, Kev has proven his mettle on the defensive end this season. He deserves to step in with the starters and show it. Put Kev in with the starters and allow Snell and Solo to be the bench wings. Keep 2 of Trae, Bogi and Kev on the court at all times. The name of the game is win. 1 game at a time, one series at a time. We have to survive without Dre by any means necessary.
  23. Role players play better at home.
  24. Sometimes I fall for the era stuff too, but the automatic rebuff is that if this generation is so much easier to play in and put up these numbers, why aren't more guys doing it? Why are the names being mentioned alongside Trae's records from his peers or current players instead of past legends. If 30 current players all broke the same records as Trae then you say yes, its the new generation and how the game is being called. But that is not the case so you have to look at the historical context of his feats and why it took so long for a guy to join that company that skipped over countless amazing players and other HoF'ers in the process.
