  1. Facts. Typically recovery is different than NBA recovery. And NBA recovery is different than Hawks recovery lol Trae will fight to come back sooner than later, and they may let him. Now Gallo and Snell, Im interested to see if they put some pressure on the staff to stop dragging out their "soreness" and let them suit up with Trae out. We may have a worst case scenario on Friday with ALL of the listed names on the report having to sit out. But maybe we see up to 4 names return by Sunday or Monday. I'm praying for fast recoveries and hopefully Dunn and Hunter upgraded to doubtful or questionable next week sometime
  2. Knock on wood, but Trae's size, or lack there-of, really helps him in these situations where larger/heavier players would have most certainly messed up something more serious.
  3. Aint no trophies for try-hards. Knicks have swept us this season. I similar fashion each time. It's bigger than last night.
  4. Some of us don't need to find out the answer to that question. Screw the agendas.
  5. Please tell me what player can defend Giannis 1v1? And Randle has been unstoppable lately. Collins does have some matchup problems I agree. These tweener SF/PF types that are perimeter oriented enough to get him on skates are bad matchups. That's Randle and Gordon, eventually Zion who I dont think JC faced this year. If all they had was a post game, he would be fine. But because they can take him off the dribble and get him to move his feet, he gets off balance and loses his base which makes it look like he is getting bullied. But lets keep it a buck, Randle got a lot of points off of jumpshots and fade aways that were well contested. JC got out knocked down trying to draw a charge which typical gets called. That being said, JC has done just fine overall this year. There are some bad matchups here and there, but this isnt a nightly thing. Playoff time there is: Durant - nobody can stop one on one Harris- He can hold his own Giannis- nobody can stop one on one Randle- tough matchup, has been tough for anyone to slow down Tatum- tough matchup on the perimeter but he can hold him down low. Ariza- he can hold his own Bridges/McDaniels- he can hold his own Theis- he can hold his own Turner- he can/has held his own Those top 5 teams all have some tough covers for JC, but we would likely cross match if Hunter is healthy on most of them (Durant, Tatum and maybe Randle) Elite MVP level guys aren't getting shut down 1 on 1 anyway, its about team defense. JC shines in that capacity this season. Long story short, its a little overblown because Randle continues to go off on us. But his size isn't what did us in, it was his outside shot, which then opened up the lane for him.
  6. Trae's sprits are no match for Chelsea Lane. I dont care how positive he feels, that lady has the team under ball and chain.
  7. Im not concerned about him long term. But in the short term it would be nice to let him take his time to rest it. Dunn out here dunking in practice, and we in the middle of a playoff push. Let his ass play and get a little nicked and protect your REAL asset, Trae.
  8. Typically I love that expression, but in this context it just makes me angrier lol
  9. They nursing these guys who are 95% healthy, tryna get them to 100, and the ones who have to suit up in their absence are dropping like flies. We are about to have 7 or 8 guys sitting out on Friday and only one (Trae) is actually injured. Everyone else is just sore at this point.
  10. Swelling has been our worst enemy this season. Worse than injury, Covid, LP, or scheduling. All pale in contrast to "swelling ", the devastating force that has grounded multiple key players for weeks and months at a time.
  11. No matter what happens we are going to end up sitting Capela against the Heat now too
  12. We've had guys miss half the season who didn't need to be carried off the court. Even if it turns out not to be that bad, he wont be playing for a while if its up to our medical staff.
  13. Do not be fooled by this half, the same thing happened when they played the Hornets. The Knicks will let you get all you can eat in the 1st half but really turn up the defense and shut teams down in the 2nd half. We have not slowed them down at all despite forcing hella turnovers. That half was fools gold and we are in for a rude awakening if we cant pick up our defensive intensity.
  14. Im worried about Gallo that it could be something serious they aren't disclosing. He is noticeably absent from the bench and practices right now and they are choosing not to mention his name when they give updates now. Did he pull a Dennis Rodman on us and fly out to Vegas, or Italy for that matter and we just haven't heard back from him, like whats going on.
  15. Until we get more pieces back, Lou IS the 2nd unit offense. He is missing Gallo big time right now as a 1-2 punch. Eventually, 2 of Kev, Snell and Dre will be on the 2nd unit and really make them potent. Until then, Lou has to carry the load off the bench, which he is quite familiar with doing.
  16. Its like people forgot that size (with skill) in basketball is not a bad thing. The Lakers run out AD as a PF next to actual 7 footers and nobody bats an eye. We put out 2 smaller bigs together and all of a sudden we are trying to reinvent the wheel. We have the makings of a dominant frontcourt, don't listen to the doubters!
  17. I dont want to count any chickens, but we need to take care of business with the Magic being depleted, so that we can rest and be fresh against New York tomorrow.
  18. This next stretch of 10 games is the most important if you ask me. It may be too late to matter by the time guys come back if we end up dropping a handful of games the next few weeks This race is going down to the wire. 40 wins (9-6 over the rest of the season) would be a great overall season, but that may not be good enough to hold on to 4th let alone try to climb up to 3. We may have to go something like 12-3 to keep pace. We need all hands on deck to close this thing out strong
  19. Celtics or Heat. Knicks are a tough matchup for us, and if we landed Charlotte, best believe we wont get any primetime slots for the entire 1st rd, plus zero respect for winning that series. Knocking off the Celtics or Heat would be a much bigger deal and honestly, I like those matchups better.
  20. 100% spot on. Solo already let on that they are looking at the standings too, trying to win as much as they can to climb and not being satisfied with #4. These games matter double right now because of how tight it is, and the fact that everyone is starting to face each other down the stretch.
  21. Does that chart consider Covid related absences as injuries or no? We have been very lucky in that regard
  22. I like that. Snell was shooting too. No Dre, Gallo or Cam sighting
  23. We are now 4 games behind Milwaukee. Their next 3 games are Philly, Philly and Atlanta. There is blood in the water. Solo spoke on it, how they have a chance at 3. We need to handle our business, and handle them when we see them next.
