  1. We need Hunter Cam would be a nice luxury if he can come back AND play better on both ends than he was to start this year. Also, I do not like Kevin starting, especially next to Bogi. I think that's stupid even if we are winning. Remember when Hollinger predicted that LP would sell out offensively and start Trae, Bogi and Kevin together. Remember how bad we flamed him on this site for predicting something so stupid. Well, that's become a reality. Even with Snell being consistent and playing smart and steady. Nate is getting a pass for running out that lineup because we are winnning
  2. Confidence is huge for any professional athlete. To get to this level most guys have to be both extremely competitive and confident to go out in front of thousands live, and millions worldwide and not be afraid of what people think about you, or of failing or of anything you can't control. I think it is an indictment against any player who has fragile or volatile confidence in himself. Does not matter how talented you are if you are constantly second guessing yourself. There are ton of guys in this league with a fraction of Cam's talent that have the right mindset that they can compete with the best, and they make solid careers on heart and work ethic alone. Cam is young, yes. So are a lot of guys, like say, his former teammates at Duke who showed they have alpha mindsets and they aren'f afraid despite being more limited than Cam skill wise. As amazing as Cam's potential is, there is a reason he fell to us at 10, and a lot of it has to do with question marks about what's going on inside of him. It is not something to brush aside as just LP's fault. Coach K couldn't pull it out of him either. As always, I hope the best for the kid because he is a Hawk. But there ain't no magic remedy to this, the kid needs the lightbulb to turn on before he can ever reach his full potential.
  3. 9-3, with at least one loss coming to the Bucks. Hard to predict anything with injuries piling up across the league and not knowing who will be in and out of the lineups for both teams. Toughest games on paper are Bucks, Knicks and Heat. We are past due to get a win vs the Knicks in my eyes. Miami is another story with Jimmy back and OIadipo Sleeper games against any of the west teams as well as Chi and Indy who are bound to start playing well again soon. That being said, I feel good about every single game in this stretch and can see us winning any of them
  4. They will, their upcoming schedule gets tough. Add to that no Hayward now or Ball either. They are my top candidates to fall backwards.
  5. 2/3's of the season has passed. If/when he finally suits up, there wont be much opportunity to build rhythm and chemistry with the team as rotations are finally settling in even without having worked Dre back in yet. It's not looking good for Dunn's Hawks tenure as I doubt he opts back in
  6. Going to be real awkward at practice with the owner, recently fired coach and star player all back in the same building lol Sidenote If you thought LP never went to bat for Trae before just wait until this summer when LP tells Pop a thousand reasons why Trae still isn't ready to make the cut.
  7. The NFL added a 17th game to the schedule for this upcoming season so most teams have 8 or 9 home games and vice versa for road games. Then, they announced that they are bringing back games played in London. So the Falcons first found out that their 17th game would be a road game Then they announced the Falcons would play in London as the "Home" team and lose a home game in Atlanta. So as of right now the Falcons have 7 home games in Atlanta and 10 games on the road. Meanwhile at least 16 other teams were given a 9th home game and only 8 road games. So it's a huge competitive disadvantage that should have been considered before hand. Only the team with an extra home game should have been eligible to host the game in London.
  8. If we had lost that Lakers game we would have had more focus and urgency against the Clippers and/or Kings. We were playing like fat cats thinking we couldn't lose and let those games go if you ask me.
  9. For anyone wondering https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ćevapi It's a thing, it's happening lol
  10. Oh that's an easy one: "Cevapi Papi" if you know you know lol
  11. No Summer League, no pre season, and injured to start his rookie career. Finally has a game to play loose against equal competition and you see his talent start to shine. OO needs the same patience we gave Cam last year.
  12. Kevin Heurter is looking bad. I'd rather see Mays.
  13. They should all get plenty, I cant imagine they run the guys who played heavy minutes last night in to the ground. Lou, BG Bogi, Mays Snell, Kev Hill, Knight Clint, OO, Bruno Something like that
  14. Im personally excited to see Mays and Knight go off. They have yet to let me down whenever they have been forced in to action. Bogi and Lou are obvious choices to have big games, but honestly, it should be a fun game to watch. Almost like a preseason vibe
  15. NOLA isnt in much better shape either. For what it's worth it looks like they will run out a lineup that looks something like: Eric Bledsoe, Kira Lewis Alexander-Walker, Thornwell (idk if he is still on his 10 day or not) Wes Iwundu, Naji Marshall James Johnson, Wenyan Gabriel Steven Adams, Jaxson Hayes, Will Hernagomez
  16. LP is gone, trade deadline has passed. At this point, this roster and team is who we are riding with to finish this postseason race. I am all in with this staff and the 17 players in uniform. Once we are officially eliminated we can go back to debating who should stay or go, or get paid x amount, blah blah blah. The hope and focus should be on us getting healthy and finding some sort of consistency and chemistry before the playoffs begin.
  17. Dafuq!?!?! Not good news
  18. I feel like this year he has done better against true Forwards. I think the Tatum's and Harris's are more in his wheel house than a 6-5 KJ. Keldon is a G/F to me being asked to play PF. And to be honest, he doesn't play PF, he just guards them. He is a true wing on offense running off screens and dribble penetration. Keldon is smaller than Bogi technically. That's not JC's prerogative to matchup with nightly. The Spurs are a one off in that regard.
  19. We have played some tougher opponents lately, with injuries creeping back up; that being said, some of our old ways have started to resurface with not being able to close out close games 3 of our last 4 losses. Getting buried and playing uphill all game, dribble penetration from guards breaking down the defense, using Kev as a backup point guard, using Hill as a PF. We have lost that mojo and are trying to re-calibrate. I don't mind Bogi starting but I think until we get a backup PG healthy and available he made more sense staying with the second unit. If Lou is good to go we may be ok now, but its little things like that, that can cost you games.
  20. Very good article. I highly suggest you guys invest in the athletic. https://theathletic.com/2490788/2021/04/01/bogdan-bogdanovic-atlanta-hawks-role-trade-talks/ Here is a part about Covid that was very interesting. Really insightful and informative.
  21. Its never ending. Imagine how these guys feel inside the locker room, seeing these cats work out every day but not be able to suit up. It hast to be just as demoralizing
  22. Keldon is a SG sized (6-5, 211) small forward, being used as a PF, Asking JC to chase him around all game is a bad idea. There is no good matchup for JC against the Spurs since they basically play 4 SG's, but I would think at least if he guarded DeRozen he wouldn't have to leave the paint to guard the 3 point line. Strictly midrange and post ups. Doesnt matter tomorrow I guess. Gallo is going to have the same issues if he starts at PF.
