I dont know what kind of energy and effort they will be giving since its still a regular season game, BUT, if they are actually locked in, that size, length and IQ is going to throw him off his rhythm for sure. I still think traps are the best defense against Trae, but as far as 1 on 1 defenders go, you won't find too many better than these guys.

That's a scary thing to read if you're Trae. Shows how much they respect you as a player, but would definitely have me annoyed if not a little intimidated lol Hopefully Kev or Snell (Dre?) can exploit the cross matchup this leaves them with.

Jay, I'll concede this debate. I truly do not care enough about the Rockets or Cousins. I disagree with jumping on Cousins in this instance only. He still is washed up, he still is emotional. I have no personal preference to support him or Wood.

I saw that coming. If you just line up the W-L records top to bottom across both conferences, we only have the 12th best record overall. Only one team, Miami, has a worse record than us and was ranked higher. I was fully prepared to be 15th behind GS and BOS based on their typical bias.

All contenders want to add size and shooting on the wing. Especially if you have a ball handler that draws a lot of attention. Why would we trade Snell, just to find out in the playoffs that we probably need more shooting at the wing position?

It's not like we are playing way over our heads. I mean this has always been considered an extremely talented and deep team. Even with the injuries, being 14-20 was always considered as us underachieving, way more so than 22-20 is overachieving. The 8-0 thing, yeah, we will lose games eventually. But this team is performing at a modestly high enough level that it is definitely sustainable even when the new car smell wears off of the new coach. We had a lot of make up work to do but we are finally where we had always thought we should be at this point of the season.

Im not as attached to Cam do it's not a huge deal for me. My only complaints are 1) that it sucks that Pelicans management is being so cheap with their franchise, as Lonzo and Zion are a great fit. They dont want to pay Lonzo and that's why they want to move him 2) We already saw what Cam and Zion look like together, and it wasn't great for Cam. With Ingram on the roster he would be the 3rd option AT BEST if he reached his potential, so basically a re hash of his situation at Duke. 3) Lonzo's fit with us this year would be weird. Who's playing time would he get is my question. Other than that Im fine with it. Lonzo is a much better player now, and he has turned his career around much in the same way people are hoping and praying Cam will one day. Lavar has not been in the media in ages, and definitely has not done anything to interfere with his sons since LaMelo was approaching the draft. I wouldn't be mad either way.

Man we still have 30 games left. Im so used to this time of year being the final stretch, we are still in the early 3rd quarter. A lot of time left for these standings to shake out, 5.5 back of 3rd place, 3.5 games from being out all together

Agreed. One of the big advantages this team has is depth with starter quality pieces coming off the bench. (Bron even said as much after we played in Atlanta). This will undoubtedly help us to win games in the regular season as its a war of attrition and more bodies always help. Now, come postseason time, other teams shrink their rotations and rely on a top 8 that could neutralize our 9-12 pieces. It's up to Nate at that point to deploy the weapons in an effective way that maximizes their skillsets and the hot hand that night. From an energy standpoint, he can shorten their time on the court by rotating more guys in that can play full-out for lesser stints. That would help neutralize the teams that play their Superstars 40 mins in a playoff game.
