  1. Nique made the list, they are taking about him now.
  2. Exactly. There is precedent for them to "Project" greatness. And they already have him as the pre season MVP favorite for the 2nd year in a row. So they've shown their hand as far as what they think of him.
  3. Speaking of premature, hypothetically, what if they put You know who on the list tonight as well? That would be disgusting to hear lol
  4. Honestly, that would be so dope if they found a way to announce him specifically at our home arena, next to his statue.
  5. This is the list of 15 Ballots where they ranked the top 75 players. Nique is on every single one of them. https://www.usatoday.com/in-depth/sports/nba/2021/10/08/nba-greatest-75-michael-jordan-panalists-vote/5879705001/ He ranges from #35 to #71, finishing in the top 50 on 10 of the 15 lists (3 times in the 30's range, 7 times in the 40's range). Top 60 in 14 of 15 ballots. I mean, there is a wide consensus when it comes to Nique. I hate that we are waiting on the last day to see if they have him on the official list, but I am confident they do the right thing this time around.
  6. This article makes it hard to believe Wilkins is left off again. https://www.google.com/amp/s/sports.yahoo.com/amphtml/will-there-be-a-dominique-wilkins-level-snub-left-off-the-nb-as-list-of-75-greatest-players-135131028.html
  7. There is no way they leave him off the list again. Some NBA circles have already admitted it was one of their biggest sins from the past. This debate from a few years ago put Nique as unanimous in a hypothetical "next 10". Isiah even argued that Nique would have been ahead of Pippen on his list. Fast forward to like 15:45 for the debate, and then 21:25 for when they start voting on unanimous names for the next "10". Keep in mind, they weren't even considering taking names off the 50 greatest list in this debate. Just adding 10 more. The new NBA 75 is replacing some names from the original list and expanding to 75. There is no way they add more than 25 new names and Nique not be one of them.
  8. Might as well. This is really entertaining drama, glad it isn't happening to us lol
  9. Some observations I have from these behind the scenes clips, JC is obviously the vocal leader that everyone said he was. He is the longest tenured current Hawk. He takes that role seriously and I love it. Gallo always waits for everyone to run out and then he goes last. For those familiar with black greek organizations he has what is referred to as a "Tail-Dawg" mentality. He is protecting all of his brothers backs, nothing happens to them with out getting past him. It's pretty dope to see that instinct in him. He doesn't budge until the last teammate runs out. Lou is always watching as if he is another coach. He isn't on the bench jumping around. He is up and locked in on the action, ready to give his teammates advice. Definitely took the torch of the VC role. Trae is just a killer. All business on the court. He always seems so focused. It pairs well with JC being the vocal one, and Trae being the best player who can just lock in. Trae carries us on the court. JC carries us off of it.
  10. Kev's former teammate Ian Anderson was starting tonight as well. Kev's dad was their HS baseball coach. Random fun fact lol
  11. Stats don't tell everything. I like Bridges, but KD is creating those shots and making them over double teams and the best defenders the opponents can send his way. Bridges is coming open off of actions where everyone's attention is on Booker, CP3 and Ayton first. His looks are usually clean. Still, Kudos for Bridges for knocking down his shots. He is a high caliber 3 and D guy. And I agree he is a winner. He has a gene about him dating back his Villanova days. He is kind of like a mixture of Cam's defense, Kev's offense (good and bad ie lack of aggression), and Dre's maturity/consistency.
  12. I agree. Plus, we are deepest at the wing position so we can afford to bring him along slowly
  13. Love this breakdown. I think the off arm thing is why they swallowed the whistle on one of Traes plays
  14. Anyone else wondering where Lou was? Is he the one coach was referring to when he was talking about sacrifice?
  15. Cam's gather off the dribble is like a 50/50 crapshoot on being a turnover. Especially when it's going up for any shot at the rim.
  16. Cam.... starting to become this eras Josh Smith. Superstar talent/moments, paired with head scratching mistakes and decisions. Just up and down
  17. I know it's against backups but Trae, Kev,Cam, Dre and JC is our death lineup. Thee best chemistry and energy of any lineup we have.
  18. Im just hoping none of their try-hards don't get one of our main guys hurt Seriously, this is some janky BS
  19. Why does this keep happening at our arena? This is becoming unacceptable
  20. I love this team man. They are not with the jokes. Philly was marked even before we drew them in the playoffs. JC knew he would have a chance to get back. It's so interesting that we completely flipped the script on these teams in the playoffs. Knicks swept us in the regular season, so we gentlemen swept them in the playoffs. Sixers won the season series on the back of 2 huge B2B victories while we were injured. We turn around and bounce them. Milwaukee was the most favorable matchup of the top teams for us, and we let them off the hook in the ECF. You can tell this team has another gear when it's motivated. I hope we keep that and learn to use it no matter who the opponent is.
  21. Facts. I'll take it a step further. Being 280, but but only 6-6, and the most special aspect about your game being explosiveness and athleticism Add that together and it's a recipe for disaster. Joel and Jokic are 280, but are around 7 feet and don't rely on pure athleticism. Even that is rough on Embiid's body but he has managed to get better at taking care of his body. Now shrink all that mass into a 6-6 frame that is a high flyer like Vince Carter. Aint no way that can hold up.
  22. Wright was out there shooting with the guards. OO was getting in solo reps as well. Everyone looks pretty good.
