I dont even think Simmons with our funky bunch will even work much less he will be crying about touches till the playoffs when he goes into his yearly shell. That said, at least, he's a baller in the regular season
Does he have a history of complaining about touches? Genuinely curious.

Really niether has been that much better at either end then Cam. Well, Huerter has been substantially better, but we love to relegate his ass to the bench anyway and give TLC a big portion of his minutes so...
I think your point about Huerter vs TLC is the biggest head scratcher to me. I think Huerter has been our best wing this season by a country mile, but he still somehow has to battle with TLC for minutes and a role in the starting lineup. Definitely one of the consistenly worst decisions Nate has made this season.

Regardless if we wanted to move Cam we could have moved him for higher value last year by your report. Probably should have done that.
The report never said we "could have" moved him for higher value. It said we tried to move him for higher value. There was no indication that the deal fell through because we pulled out, it could very well have been Indiana that had second thoughts.

As opposed to Bogi and Kevin? The defense issue is clearly a team thing.
As bad as Bogi and Kevin have been, they are far better team defenders (this season) and also much better on O, and that is saying a lot.

Well for whatever reason, that trade fell through, nothing to be done about it now. I'm asking a different question now.
My opinion is Cam marginally improved offensively (at least at hitting shots with his feet set, not at creating or passing) this year but took a MASSIVE nosedive defensively. He has been totally awful on defense all season

That's a trash trade like the Jeff-Crabbe trade.
Eh, Lou won us a couple games in the playoffs so ended up having a decent impact.

This is true. It's likely it was never going to work for any of these wings in Atlanta but you at least expected a better package. This is Travis. He has been bad at trades for the most part. Capela trade aside. He hasn't won a trade yet.
I'd say he won the Lou-rondo trade as well

Someone please explain to me why Gallo brought the ball up the court 3 times in the second quarter. That can't be the game plan, right?

Did Sam Amick tweet that Schlenk has thrown out gallo and cam to teams? And that the hawks are going to be active near trade deadline?
I saw it on a social media page but didn’t seem realistic but starting to see it pop up on a few other hawk content I follow
Hurting Hawks
Speaking of teams that are motivated to make a move or two, we present the Atlanta Hawks. This is nothing like the we’ll-talk-about-anything approach of a team like the Kings, nor should it be. Atlanta’s unexpected run to the Eastern Conference finals last season validated the choice of general manager Travis Schlenk to build around Trae Young and John Collins (both of whom signed long-term deals in August).
But there’s a fine line between roster depth and roster dilution, and sources say the Hawks — well aware that their rotations are a bit crowded when fully healthy — are on the lookout for a one-for-two type of deal for an impact player. Veteran forward Danilo Gallinari (just $5 million of his $21.4 million guaranteed on his deal for next season) and third-year small forward Cam Reddish, it seems, are the most likely candidates to be headed out. The urgency is likely on the rise, as this Hawks team that was fifth in the East last season before its playoff run has now fallen to 12th (16-20; 27th in defensive rating).

Seriously when does Popo get heat for his team being hot trassh? No he doesn't have the horses, but they also play like boodee.
One-a you nerds compile his coaching record with Duncan not being on the roster or staff. It's gotta be abysmal.
Well, nerds? We're waiting. Why y'all lookin at me? Ohhhh, the 'Georgia Tech' thing. Hey, I was more an 'ideas' nerd not an 'implementation' nerd.
It sounds like Pop agrees.

Just finished the game. Tough one that got away from us. We had it but just couldn’t close out. Credit the Suns on some crazy tough shots specially by a red hot Booker.
Booker was on tonight and that’s really tough to stop. Hunter did as good a job as anyone but Hunter didn’t have his best night on D and bad on O as he went 1-9.
I like the way we played though. We are starting our engines up. Collins mixing it up with Crowder (not really but kinda
) We fought. This schedule is only going to make us stronger down the road.
Young had a nice 31/13, and JC 9-12 FG. I love JC’s game. Like I said in the thread I made, we need more JC baby!Nate seriously, more JC!
All I kept seeing was a new age Stockton to Malone when I see Trae to JC! Love the tandem! I never take watching them for granted these kids of ours flat out ball!!!!
WE SHALL TAKE DOWN THE WARRIORS!!!! UOU HEARD IT HERE FIRST!!!
Trae>Curry
On Monday he will show the Curry
lovers what’s up!
GO HAWKS!!!!
Can't wait, I'll be there in person! Hope we beat the brakes off of those pretenders!

Wright is #3 on the team with a +1.5 +/- while Lou is -2.2. Even with his shooting slump to start the year, he has a 106 ORtg versus Lou's 96 ORtg (and we know who is the better defender). Wright is the top rebounder on the team who doesn't play center so far this year and while that is unsustainable he averaged almost 6 rebounds and 6 assists per 36 the last two years. He is obviously the much better player and choice for minutes.
ALL! OF! THIS!!!! This is the most baffling thing Ive seen from Nate in his tenure so far. Unless Delon is injured or slapped Nates wife or something, there is absolutely no justification to run Lou in front of Wright. The offense and defense of the second unit looks completely lost without Delon, and for whatever reason, Lou is just out there trying to get his in what is probably his last season in the NBA
Have any reporters asked Nate what is going on with that awful rotation decision? I havent seen any but I dont watch the press conferences.

What happened to Delon? He is deep in Nate's dog house!

Haha, @Spud2nique is finna rub this all over his nekked body ...
I've contended for a while that Warriors management, particularly Bob Myers, is sneakily a terrible GM. Making his name off the moves primarily made before he took charge. All he's done is pee down his leg the last 4-5 years but still profit.
I'm so here for the Warriors fading away as their big 3 get old and Myers puts nothing in place to keep things rolling for them.
Oh and how is Draymond not getting traded soon? Are they waiting for him to completely tank his value?
As if all the weird shit KD says and does isn't enough, this clip is 100% proof to me that he is in no way, shape, or form a leader. He is whining because his team didn't do enough to get them over the emotional hump of a little on court spat? Isnt that his job as the leader of the team? Disgusting.

Dennis isn't much of a point guard himself, and unlike Dennis Smart is an elite defender so at least he does something great. Dennis is very good at slashing and... yup, that's about it. He's a decent bench guy, nothing more.

They can have as many five year contracts as they want. They can't have more than two designated rookie five year extensions I believe.
Can you offer a player on a rookie contract a 5 year extension that isn't a designated extension? What is the difference?

I looked at a possible extension of Kevin as well and stuck it 5/75 starting at 13 mil per season starting next year. Perfectly fits the cap numbers I stated earlier today.
I heard a team can only have two 5 year contracts on the roster. Is that wrong?
