I would say it's a 48 win team but let's be clear, trading Millsap for nothing is a MISTAKE. They need to trade Splitter and Thabo.
D12 is such a wild card, it's really hard to make predictions.

ESPN saying Korver's future unquestionably and my be traded to dump salary. That may make a lot of sense given he's lost a step. What his salary nimber.?
I don't believe that. I would think we would need his spacing in any roster we could come up with involving D12

It doesn't matter what he does at the top. That's for the future but for now, Atlanta needs to get 18 million dollars in cap room by any means.
Ah, right because it's just his cap hold we need to clear for.

We can't cut Patterson. We have a lot less than 6 million. That info in the 1st post was wrong. We only have maybe 3-5 million. Clearly, 5 million in cap space will help us a ton. It means Thabo and Splitter can be traded and we can free up the money that way.
What do you think are the chances of Horf sacrificing 1 or 2 million to make it work?

Thabo is an extremely easy trading piece. I mean, we can trade him now but Splitter. He might have to be packaged with Thabo.
The Nets come to mind.
Honestly, moving both contracts should be super easy considering how free agency has been. Every team has cap space (almost) and can absorb a cheap contract for a decent vet.

Why would the Celtics do this when they can sign Al outright?
Maintain cap for Durant?

CViv on 98.9 says he doesn't think Horford likes Dwight Howard and he thinks we will sign and trade him to the Celtics.

Sometimes it's not who is better. Ask Manu and Iggy. When Pop and then Steve Kerr approached Manu and Iggy about coming off the bench it was about balancing the roster and having a better bench.
Yes, but you don't put the best player on the team on the bench. That is what we would be do by moving Millsap to the bench.

YUCK!!!

Baze is in a free agent meeting with Houston.

Scott instead of Hump. We need the offense from Scott more than we need what Hump brings. Maybe more like this.
pg Dennis, Jack
sg THJ, Korver, Bembry
sf Sap, Thabo, Prince
PF Al, Sap, Scott, Muscala
C D12, Splitter, Edy
This is a HUGE and NASTY defensive squad. We could lock up any team in the league for a full 48 minutes. Our only challenge will be scoring.

You have to bench Dwight for FT shooting at that point in a lot of games anyway so that doesn't seem like a problem.
Can't hack off the ball for the last two minutes.

If we are going to package up all our assets for Buddy, I'd much rather see how far 12, 21, Minny's 1, and THJ would get us in the Jimmy Butler sweepstakes.
Looking at that I'm not sure that's anywhere close to what they would ask...but it's a starting point.
Could you imagine this squad+Jimmy Butler? Our defense would be insane.

So, the numbers guy is telling us to ignore the numbers? Lol! Anyone with common sense would see the difference in playoff games played. I guess you had to wait until Lowry had a high scoring playoff game to try to make your argument somewhat valid. I guess you had to "decompress" as well. Haha!
While Lowry was handling business on his home floor, Teague was riding the bench behind the 2nd string PG in the playoffs in an elimination game!!!!! I don't understand how this is a debate at this point.

I can't believe we're having this debate. How can anyone believe Kyle Lowry's better than Teague in the playoffs. Please take a look at the Per 36 statistics for each player in the playoffs and tell me what part makes Lowry better. The guy is nothing but a chucker that doesn't play defense and tucks his tail against other premium guards. When was the last time Teague walked off the court during any game let alone the playoffs to "decompress?" Man, I get a slight giggle everyday from some of the Squawks eggsperts. Please stop spreading the foolery.
OK I'll bite. Teague wasn't on the court to close out our season-ending game 4 against the Calfs in Atlanta. Isn't that just as bad, if not worse?

Splitter had an injury prone season. He should play better next season if he's fully healed and healthy.
Every season for Splitter is injury prone.

Horford said in his exit interview that his primary focuses this summer will be working on his post game and putting the ball on the floor. Hope we see some great results from that.

Millsap is on the block
in Homecourt

Howard can score in the pick and roll. He was a dominant finisher as a roll man in Orlando. If we exercise all of D12s talents like the Rockets never did, I think he can still be quite effective.
