- Try to bring in another star caliber player . . preferably Elton Brand. If that means not re-signing Smoove to get it done, so be it. - If we can't get anothet star caliber player, re-sign both Smoove and Chill - Start Acie at the point next year, no matter what. - Trade Bibby at some point before the trade deadline to bring in either expiring contracts or at least 2 solid role players. - Fire Woodson ONLY if we can get Avery Johnson, Mike Fratello, or some other experienced coach that stresses defense, but can also teach offense. Do not bring in an offense-first type guy. - Try to find another quality big to add to the lineup.

Who gives a ((( bleep ))) I know everybody is disappointed, and you should be. But who gives a f--- what everybody else thinks of the Hawks. When we won, we got a little respect. So when we lose like this, we're gonna get clowned either way. Either way, it doesn't matter. This team just got outplayed in every phase of the game today.

I've played in games like this as a player. It's not like they aren't trying. In fact, you try to do everything perfect in situations like these. Ok . . Salim is in, just let him gun.

Unfortunately, if Marvin never becomes a star player, that dumb foul may define his career. And Woody need to seriously consider getting Salim into this game, even though it probably wonmt matter any. No one but JJ showed up to play today. And that's a shame.

JJ has to play quicker. Either take the shot before the double comes, or immeadiately go into playmaker mode and find the open man. He's waiting way too long. Marvin hasn't got a touch in a long time.

Pretty even game so far. Marvin came out very assertive, but so did Pierce. JJ can't pick up cheap fouls tonight like that last foul.

If we win, I think we blow them out. This is the type of game where a team plays a perfect game, leads wire to wire, and the other team shuts it down early and looks foward to the final game at home. We may very well lose, but if we win, don't be surprised if it's by 15 points or more. I'm 5 minutes from the arena. Damn I wanna see them win tonight.

That lineup all depends on what Acie can do at the point. If he could average 10 - 12 ppg and around 7 assists, that's an Eastern Conference Final caiber team. Shawn is a freak of nature and still an elite level athlete. Shawn would make both Marvin and Chill obsolete.

But He Can't Shoot It's like a football team trying to turn Randy Moss into a running back, just because he's fast. There is no justificaton for Smith to be taking 3's when he only makes 25% of them. If the shot clock is running out, then that's OK. But even then, he shouldn't be that far away from the basket. He is our PF, not our SF. We need him on the inside, not the outside. Our PF can't shoot sub 40% FG. We need him closer to 50%. He could be a 20 ppg - 12 rebs guy every night, if he just stay off the perimeter. He's a souped-up version of Shawn Marion, but isn't nearly as consistent as he is, because he won't stay off the perimeter. The day he stops taking all of those jumpers, and starts trying to get his points from 15 feet and in, will be the day he turns into a superstar. Until that day, he'll never be above a Lamar Odom level. That's not bad at all, but it won't make him an all-star caliber player either.

When you see those numbers for Bibby, you almost wish the cat would turn an ankle and be out for the rest of the series. Absolutely pathetic. All those people complainong about Chill or Marvin, doesn't even compare to how Bibby is killing us, especially in Boston. Acie should be the starter by default next year, and have Bibby assume the Tyronn Lue role. And if Speedy is healthy, have Bibby assume Salim's role, until we trade him for a few nice role players. His lack of playmaking is what kills me. Averaging 1 assist in 3 games in Boston?

If he were closer to the rim more often on offense, he'd consistently get 3 - 4 offensive rebounds a game, which may lead to 2 - 4 extra points a game via putbacks, or getting fouled on the putback. In 4 years, his jumper hasn't improved, but his post scoring and ability to get to the hole has. It's obvious that he should just play to his strengths more. Obvious to everyone, but him. And that will keep him from being great.

The entire time, KG was watching both JJ and Smith, and raced out to Smith as soon as he gathered himself to shoot. The result: An airball by Smith. Fratello, as he's breaking down this play, states that a 25% 3-point shooter like Smith should've drove the basketball to the hole. He even draws how Smith should've put the ball on the floor, as KG wildly came out at him. He either forces KG to gather himself to defend Smith, or Smith makes a play toward the basket that sees him either creating a scoring chance for himself, or someone else. Smith is one of the WORST jumpshooters in the NBA. Evryone seems to know this, except him. His improvement as an offensive player hs come from the fact that he can take bigger guys off the dribble and get to the hole. But Smoove has this Rasheed Wallace mentality about him that will have him be considered good, but not great. Smith, when he drove the ball last night, almost always produced something positive. He was 10 - 10 FT last night, but only hit 3 FGs ( none of those outside of 12 feet ). Smith taking 3's, is like Monta Ellis or Tony Parker taking 3's. Yea, they can make them every once in a while, but why go away from constanly driving the ball at people and scoring, just to prove that you can make an open 21 foot shot or 3-pointer?

Most of the time, the only chance they have of learning how to win on the road, is to play tremendous defense on the road. Chicago did just that last year.
