  1. Chill >>>> Iggy Just had to type that while Chill is having the better game so far.
  2. Uh oh . . . Smoove hit a 3 at the buzzer. Let's see if he stays on the outside, or if he attacks.
  3. Interesting to see JJ take this first two three-pointers from the corner. Even though he missed both shots, he's a much better shooter from the corners and the wings, than he is from up top, from three point land. He hits over 40% of his three's from the corner/wing, but struggles to hit even 30% of his three's from straight on, or just left or right of straight on.

  5. I was wondering if he'd get the nod in the East. Good for him. For him to already be a 10 rpg guy, is huge for this team.
  6. The question has always been how long do we want to wait on potential. A Gasol trrade gets us a player that is used to being a first option type player, something we dont have here, outside of JJ. IT still may be necessary to play Horford at center because he may be a better defender at center than Gasol.
  7. We won 6 games in November. That's the minimum I wanted to win, but we did at least reach that mark. Most thought we wouldn't even get 4 or 5 wins in November. Hawks get a C for the month.
  8. Quote: Quote: Quote: Joe has no one to blame but himself!!!!!!! I agree. He can't go 5 - 20, and expect us to win. LOL @ Smoove with the 3. Watch him come out gunning next game. Exactly. And JJ will let him.

  10. Quote: Quote: I know I tend to bash most of the Hawks players, but JJ has been one of the least impressive players this year. He has half assed it so much this season. The only player that has been playing well most nights is Childress. Whenever you can say that only one or two players on the team have given it their all night in and night out there is an obvious problem. JJ is just missing all of those mid-range shots that he normally makes. Why? I don't know. LOL . . of course, as soon as we bad mouth him, he gets a nice assist to Smoove, and converts an And-1 Pargo has 10 points in the quarter !!

  12. Quote: Oh well. NOLA is shooting 41% . . but have taken 78 shots. 19 more than we have. Those offensive rebounds are a killer. As far as offense goes. If we lose, JJ has to take the blame for this one. Might as well put Salim in Woody. See if he can get hot, while trying his best to defend Paul. LOL . . but he puts AJ in the game instead. Yeah Woody.

  14. JJ will have to get hot in order to pull this game out. And then we're going to have to keep Paul in check somehow when he comes back in. And oh yeah . . . KEEP THEM OFF THE OFFENSIVE BOARDS !! Good lord, there goes another one.
  15. Quote: My one gripe with JJ is that he almost always shoots poorly in the 1st quarter. He's like an old car, that has to warm up for about 20 minutes. After that, the old car runs just as well as a new car. 1 - 7 FG right now . . . so that means he'll end up 8 - 18.
  16. I was just about to start a thread about Paul. I hope people don't start crying when he looks like Steve Nash against us tonight.
  17. OK . . we'll do it like this. If the image doesn't come up, click on the link [image]http://www.blackplanet.com/photos/view.html?photo_id=8026874[/image] [image]http://fs.blackplanet.com/fbe1130384b7dc64f6a301b051968017279ddb83/437x[/image] northcyde's pic
  18. OK . . let's try this: [image]http://www.hawksquawk.net/gallery/showphoto.php?photo=169&cat=500&ppuser=928[/image]
  19. Yeah I gotcha boss . . as soon as I figure out how to do this ish from work . . lol. LOL . . well, that didn't work. Let me try again.
  20. Quote: Northcyde I just noticed where you list your location. We had lunch in Clarksville last week on the way back from Missouri. I think we ate at Arby's if I remember right. there's a bunch of places to eat though on that exit. I'll let you know next time we're rolling through there! Exit 4 . . . You have a mall, and a Super WalMart in that area. I work about a mile from Arby's. Ish . . now you got me wanting a Beef and Cheddar sandwich.
  21. Meant to say that the Hawks would be the #5 seed in the East.
  22. (( Placing Walter on the 15-day disabled list, beside Speedy )) I have a young female friend who seems to be in the beginning stages of having major back problems. Like you, she was a former multiple sport athlete. She's only 24, but is starting to have major issues with her back. You do what you need to do to heal up, and then make sure you don't overdo things once you get back. Prediction for you: By the time you get back, the Hawks will be the #4 seed in the East. Mark that down.
  23. Quote: Quote: Quote: But I see Joe Johnson sitting in a chair in front of his locker, like a jewel in a landfill, and I'm certain I haven't witnessed such pathos since watching Charlie Chaplin in "The Tramp." "We're just so inconsistent," the Hawks guard said before Wednesday's game against Milwaukee. "It's frustrating. We play the teams that we think we should beat, the teams that supposedly are not so good, and we tend to let our guard down. Then we get hit right in the face. My feelings on Joe Johnson are as follows. He took the money. He's cashing the checks. He knew what he was getting into. I'm not feeling bad for him in regards to "he was promised the Hawks would do X and Y when they signed him." The dude is cashing the checks. Don't cause the drama. You get payed to play a child's sport for christ's sake! You assume that money will make anyone happy. You know better than that. Look at how many athletes, and people in Hollywood do things to flat out ruin their lives, because of unhappyness, even though they have MILLIONS of dollars. The reason why some veteran athletes will take the league minimum to go play on a championship contender, is to experience the thrill of WINNING. It has nothing to do with money. The money JJ makes, only makes his everyday life easier. But on the court, I could definitely see how he'd be miserable right now. As many have said . . Acie is our beacon of hope right now. He may be the missing piece to all of this. I don't think that JJ has ever experienced more than a 4 game winning streak, in the 2.5 years he's been in ATL. But he's experienced quite a few 8 - 10 game losing streaks. That'll drive even the highest paid players to be unhappy ( see KG and Kobe ).
  24. Quote: The security is basically non-existent. Philips Arena is listed right after the homeless shelter on the Al-Qaeda attack list. LOL . . you act like there are security problems in and around Philips during a Hawks game. I've been the plenty of games in the past few years, and haven't seen anything. Ish . . the scalpers are more of a nuisance, than the homeless people.
