  1. OK . . who can stop The Omen? That's Damien's new nickname. The friggin Omen.
  2. trust your teammates JJ . . don't be afraid to pass this ball.
  3. oh NOOOOOOOOOOOO !! That damn Damien thinks he's Dominique forreal !! (( breathing )) positive . . positive . . positive.
  4. Good job by JJ on the pull-up. SUPERSTAR !!!!!!
  5. Excellent defense Salim!! OMG !! What a BS call !! (( breathing )) positive . . positive . . positive.
  6. Salim trying to come up big this quarter. big Fts right there.
  7. Quote: I'm not very comfortable, with where we at. We can easily blow this. Negativity . . get away from thee !! Positive !!
  8. JJ ultra aggressive now. A little too aggressive with that 3 though. LOL . . then he hits the next one. SUPERSTAR !!
  9. Quote: Salim can't complain. He's gotten opportunities to step up... I agree. He seems to always find a reason for coach not to give him more PT, with performances like these. Gotta step up when you get the chance.
  10. 13 in the quarter for JJ. Hawks lead 72 - 71. Gotta love the SUPERSTAR !!!
  11. Quote: I think the results speak for themselves. Once again JJ looks disinterested and not explosive. He's starting to look like a waste of money out there. Perhaps he wants to be traded because that is how he is playing. 3-12 2 rebounds 0 assist and 8 points. Must be that shutdown Seattle defense. Right now he reminds me of Jimmy Jackson... Not anywhere near as good as his stats suggest. On a positive note, he can't possibly repeat the first half. Sir . . you are absolutely right. 4 - 4 FG . . 2 assists this half. See . . you guys just aren't positive enough
  12. No doubt Gambit. You're a lifesaver for me here at work. Especially when our local cable company doesn't broadcast a Hawks game, even though it's listed.
  13. Can we get some POSITIVITY in here folks? (( holding hand out . . waiting for the rest of the Squawkers to put their hand on top of mine )) guys? POSITIVIE on 3. 1 . . . 2 . . . 3 . . . . POSITIVE !! STay positive, and your Hawks will not let you down tonight. But stay negative, and you might get a negative result.
  14. Quote: CAN WE PLEASE SIGN A TRUE POINT GUARD TODAY. LUE IS NOT A GOOD PG NEITHER IS CHILDRESS OR SALIM THIS TEAM FLAT OUT SUCKS BALLS TODAY. Do Smoove and Law make this big a differnce this is a freaking embarassment. ' Please stay positive sir. Positive: We probably should be down 20, but we're only down 13. Woody will give the Hawks a good tongue lashing at halftime, and they'll come out strong in the 3rd quarter. We'll even have the lead at the end of 3. Score will be 74 - 73 Hawks.
  15. Diesel must've known something with this "Positive Day". This game is the ultimate in "positive stamina". Positive: Good job Horford. He should stop this 15 - 0 run that the Sonics are on with a few free throws.
  16. LOL @ Stephen A on First Take today. Calling the Kansas football team "Cal Ripken". Cal never won any titles, but he got all kinds of props for just showing up and playing all of those consecutive games and being a good all-around player. He really knows how to stir the pot. S.A.S. is hilarious to me.
  17. This is why I've always said that Woody was an AVERAGE COACH, not a BAD COACH. He knows what it takes to win. He just has to push the right buttons and make sure people stay on the same page. We would've never known that he made these guys go pretty hard at each other, in the practices after the Washington game, if not for this article. And the fact that he asked JJ to do more, spurred JJ to have that great game last night. Woody probably gave him the "you're the superstar, and this is what superstars do" speech. Woody doesn't do everything right, but he isn't totally clueless either.
  18. . . . Hotlanta. So when he starts his negative rants, some of you will either have to ignore his posts, or kill him with kindness. Just don't respond back negatively to someone, if they try to bait you into giving a response.
  19. Quote: Marvin has really improved at finishing inside. Used to be he was jumping into people and throwing up garbage or getting his shot blocked. So far he is shooting 19-28 or 68% on his attempts inside. That's an absolutely incredible number around the basket. Especially compared to last year, when he was a pitiful 48% around the basket. Anything over 60% from that area, is excellent. So to be at close to 70%, is downright ridiculous. Those are Manu Ginoboli, Tony Parker type finishing numbers. And those two are perennially 2 of the best finishers around the rim in the league. Smoove's 51% around the rim, while still in the red, is acutally low for a guy his size. This site gives a perfect illustration on why he should not be shooting outside 15 feet.. Just continue to take everything to the basket Josh, and you'll be OK.
  20. Quote: Quote: It is simply amazing. He takes less 3s and he has his best game of the year. He falls in love with that 3 ball just about as bad as Smoove does. JJ might be racking up the asts if Law is going to be out for any length of time. Hopefully that won't be the case. He had just about his nicest pass as a hawk tonight. I would like to see him raise his assists to closer to his first year here. Somewhere near 5 at least would be nice. He has the talent around him to get more. He's currently averaging 6 assists per game. Don't get it twisted though, we definitely need his scoring as well. So far this season, the same formula for the Hawks winning last year, is holding to form this year. When JJ has a big night, we win. If he's creating 35 total points . . via his own points and the points he creates from assists, that will at least have us in the game most nights, if not win it.
  21. Quote: Quote: Quote: Smoove Quad strain, Acie ankle sprain both unlikely to return.. I hope it doesn't get anymore serious than this. We need Josh and Acie for the next game! From the way Acie left the game, that's a serious sprain. I guarantee he's out at least a week, if not more. I've sprained my ankles quite a few times, and if it's SERIOUSLY sprained, I can't put pressure on it. Just hope it's not one of those high ankle sprains. That'll take a few weeks to get over, maybe even as long as a month.
  22. With all of JJ's supposed troubles, he's quietly shooting 91% from the free throw line.
  23. but . . but . . but . . . He's not Lebron: 39 points 13 rebounds 14 assists in a losing effort.
