  1. When I see something like that, that's a clear indication that Schlenk places value on both Trae Young and Luka Doncic. Bagley will not fall out of the top 3, unless we choose not to pick him. Ayton won't fall either. So if Schlenk has narrowed his list down to 4 players, two of them have to be Young and Doncic. The question is, how far is Schlenk willing to "move down", in order to obtain an extra asset in this draft or the next? If he moves past 5, we may end up with Mo Bamba or Colin Sexton.
  2. Bamba Young Giannis https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Oaw0_zw9LGs
  3. I'm not a killer, but don't push me . . . Durant at his best . . . in college. Sorry, JJJ can't do this, and will never be able to do this.
  4. Keep doing your thing Dennis. Maybe the GM will draft decent guys to put around you, to make you more efficient.
  5. How efficient would Stephen Curry be, if you took away Draymond Green, Klay Thompson, and Kevin Durant? If the Hawks had Curry instead of Schröder, and threw this lineup on the floor PG - Curry G - Bazemore F - Prince PF - Collins C - Dedmon What do you, or anyone else, think Stephen Curry would shoot? I would guarantee you that it wouldn't be 50% FG and 42% from 3 point range.
  6. LOL . . that's 80% of the draft though. At #30 or #34, we'll definitely get a player with flaws. We just need to make sure that his strengths are good enough to be a decent spot rotation player.
  7. He'll get drafted by someone. He's a big who can shoot from outside, that isn't afraid to bang on the boards. Kind of reminds me of Luis Scola Interesting that Izzo didn't opt to have JJJ guard Wagner, seeing how he was killing Nick Ward And he took over the game vs Loyola in the Final Four, when the rest of the team was sucking.
  8. You forget our draft picks. At #3, Bagley, Bamba or Jaren Jackson Jr may be the pick. They are PFs and Cs, but in the "new NBA", most of these centers and power forwards are interchangeable. At #30 or #34, we may opt to take the best available big men available. Maybe Mitchell Robinson is still on the board. Or Mortiz Wagner, who had an excellent NCAA tournament for Michigan. So our big man rotation could be . . . PF - Collins / Bagley C - Plumlee / Wagner And eventually, Bagley would crack the starting lineup to play alongside Collins. I wouldn't mind bringing Dedmon back. I'd even be for giving him an inflated 1 year deal, if we needed to reach the minimum salary floor. I definitely liked the way he developed as a Hawk. He's worth giving a 3 year deal to, in my opinion.
  9. http://www.espn.com/chalk/story/_/id/23680463/2018-19-nba-title-odds-open-golden-state-warriors-favored-philadelphia-76ers-tops-east So .... if you have $100 to blow, it may turn out great, if the Hawks pull off the greatest feat in NBA history. Interesting how they propped up the odds for the teams that are rumored to possibly acquire LeBron James. I wonder what our odds would be if we were one of the target cities of LeBron?
  10. Kinda crazy too. The worse thing that happened to the Joe Johnson era Hawks, was when Shelden got robbed. But I don't remember any of those guys getting in any sort of police trouble.
  11. As for Alpha Kaba . . I do find it funny that is overseas uniform is of the pink and green persuasion Maybe the Spelman or Clark-Atlanta AKA's can adopt him and make him feel at home.
  12. Lethal with the Steve Javie-like decision on KB. Good call. With Hotlanta changing his name and taking a step back, KB has stepped in quite well in the role of "forum antagonist". You need both good and bad in forums like these, especially during bad times.
  13. LOL . . . his statement DOES have a lot of truth to it though. We all know that we're not going after a significant free agent this season, and that ( more than likely ) Schlenk wouldn't mind the team losing again, to obtain a lottery pick. Our top 3 draft picks probably are rotation players. John Collins and Tyler Dorsey, definitely. Deandre Bembry, possibly. So that's 6 already. Depending on if we draft a PG, Isaiah will get time too. Starters PG - Schröder G - Bazemore F - Prince PF - Collins C - Plumlee Bench PG - Taylor G - Dorsey/Bembry #3 pick #19 pick #30 pick Maybe we overpay a vet, or take on a bad contract, to get closer to the minimum salary floor . . . unless the Hawks are willing to pay the current guys the rest of the money we're under. We'll simply have to look at this like Lakers fans had to last Summer League, when Lonzo Ball, Brandon Ingram, Josh Hart, Kyle Kuzma, and Ivica Zubac played in the summer, and ended up getting burn as rotation players.
  14. If I had to root for Jamal Crawford for 2 years, surely you could root for this.
  15. Question is . . . will Julius get paid this season? I actually liked how he played this year, despite Luke Walton trying to keep the shackles on him. Once he cracked that starting lineup, it was lights out.
  16. As much as I like Collins' potential, I would definitely do this.
  17. I agree. Because every one of us would scream like a 8 year old girl at her birthday party, if Lebron decided to leave the Cavs and join the Hawks. This playoffs has actually made be become a fan of the guy. As much as I hate Cleveland ( mainly because of what he does to us ), I'm rooting for them to beat Golden State. People should appreciate the greats of the game. Not try to find reasons to hate them.
  18. So Dennis had a -2.45 RPM in 2017 . . . but a -1.81 RPM in 2018, despite most everyone agreeing that he played worse this season than last season?
  19. Yeah man. When I look at that list, there's no way I'm taking any other PG other than Dennis in that season, once you get past Jrue Holiday at #15.
  20. Advanced stats cannot be used to justify a player's worth in all cases, because high usage starters have different roles than low usage / specialty players. You'll end up with a situation in which Terry Rozier is trying to do the same things that Kyrie Irving does.
  21. Post the link where you got this stat from, and lets go through those other 54 PGs who had a better RPM. Let's see how many of those we'd take over Dennis.
