  1. SMH . . Dedmon fouls out, and who does Bud comes with? Mike Muscala And ya'll don't think he's coaching to tank.
  2. Name that coach: _____ coach __________ _________ was asked what helped to bring about ( player's ) resurgence: "When he said, ‘I want to be traded.' It's as simple as that. I said, ‘Woah, nobody's ever said that to me before.' It's my ( __ )-whatever year, and nobody's ever said that like, ‘I'm not enjoying this. I'm not confident. I'm not sure you want me here. I want to be traded.'" _________ was asked if that conversation took place after the season. "Yes, yes. I thought that's already been public? So, we had some dinners and meetings and laughed. I was very candid with him. I told him, ‘I'd be happy to trade you. You get me a talent like Kevin Durant, and I'll drive you to the airport. I'll pack your bags. And I will drive you there, get you on the plane, and get you seated.' He laughed you know, that kind of thing. I said, ‘But short of that, I'm your best buddy because you're here for another year, and you ain't going nowhere. Because we're not gonna get for you talent-wise what we would want. So, let's figure this thing out.' And we did. That's what we came to. As discussions went on, it became apparent to me that it really was me. He's been playing in the league for nine years. I'm not going to turn him into some other player. I could do some things defensively or rebounding-wise. But on offense, I was going to move him everywhere. That was just silly on my part. Total overcoaching. So, we took care of it, and he's been fantastic."
  3. Paragraph 1 has already been proven in a small sample. When Bud finally decided to start Collins and Dedmon together, they played well. And paragraph 2 is dead on the money. People forget that one of the more innovative teams of the past 25 years, was the mid 90s version of the Houston Rockets. They were the classic inside - outside team that ran the half court offense through Olajuwon, and surrounded him with as much shooting as possible. Dwight Howard's Orlando team in 2009 played the same way. You have too many teams trying to replicate Golden State's style, with mediocre shooters.
  4. OK. Well if we go off of need, that will be the kiss of death. If we're in the top 3, we better get the BPA, regardless of need. If we're going to suck like this, we can't just get an Al Horford level player. We need a guy who is a potential Hall of Famer.
  5. A lot of people seem to be making excuses for Bud. All I know is that they better hope that he's not trying to win these games. If he is, that means the strategy and lineups are flawed as hell. RIP Bud 2019, if he can't get this right, and quickly.
  6. So you're taking Bamba and Ayton over Bagley? If so, why do you think those two are over Bagley?
  7. Oh that's easy 1) Our best one on one defenders are gone ( Millsap and Sefolosha ) 2) We're 27th in defensive rebounding ( mainly because we lost our 2 best rebounders, and coach won't give extended minutes to the rookie PF/C, who is the best rebounder on the team ) 3) Bud plays "small ball" lineups to help out the offense, which kills us defensively.
  8. Funny that people are only mad for Lavar speaking out, and not examining what he actually said. Because when you examine what he said, Lavar was absolutely right. The Lakers are normally an ultra soft team that simply likes to play offense. Lonzo, ironically, is one of the best help defenders on the team, despite normally being passive most of the game. What you saw out of the Lakers on Sunday night, was probably some of the best effort they had all year. It was almost like they were trying to prove someone wrong. The real question with them is, why did it take for Lavar to call out Walton and indirectly call out the team, in order for them to play hard on the defensive end?
  9. What are we trying to do then? No one wants our scrub bench players. And the guy the fan base wants to see the most, can't even get 25 minutes of playing time in a game.
  10. Terrible. Bud is the best tanking coach ever. He's going to mess around and get fired. Maybe not this year, but definitely next year.
  11. SMH So Bud isn't going to put Dennis in the game, so who takes the final shot? Baze? Prince?
  12. LMAO . . WTF is Baze doing? He has to be related to Josh Smith. 3rd counsin. Something.
  13. And Deandre Jordan makes 5 FTs in a row And Delaney fouls Evans, who pretty much ripped him. Incredible. That's what you get Bud, for having Dennis and Collins out of the game.
  14. LOL Baze. What ya'll call him . . . the "Tank Commander"?
  15. He just has to become more consistent. He shows flashes of being a real good player.
  16. Then I turn back to the Hawks game, and Bud has benched Collins? WTF did he do? If he doesn't play the rest of the game, Bud will have some lame excuse as to why he didn't play in the 2nd half.
  17. And the Georgia sports curse continues . . . Damn. Hell of a throw though.
  18. I bet Bud is about to pull Collins, like it's his fault. This dude puts up numbers and don't even have plays called for him. He has to literally find his own offense, and go to work.
  19. You see that move Collins just made? And he can't get the ball in the post?
  20. Lonzo shooting over 40% from 3 in his last 7 games ( including this game ). It looks like whatever was wrong with his shot, has been fixed. Or maybe he's just taking a lot better shots in rhythm.
  21. He must've heard you. 2 triples in a row. Lead down to 17 now.
  22. 18 point lead for the Lakers Dennis +/- is 0 . . . has 16 points.
  23. Bud is pissed, but this is his fault. All of these jumpers by the guards are leading to mini fast breaks for the opposing team. Delaney - Taylor - Beli are a combined 2 - 12 FG. And Collins STILL can't get a touch in the post.
  24. Poor Collins just running around with his head cut off. Can't touch the ball offensively since Dennis went out. All of these guys tossing up air balls and bricks, and Collins can't get one damn touch in the post. And now we're down 10. Nique talking about the Hawks need to slow the ball down. Well, a way to do that, is to throw the ball into the post. Let the offense flow through Collins for once, instead of guards who can't shoot.
