  1. LOL . . . Baze has to be Josh Smith's cousin. Hahahah @ that behind the back pass
  2. LOL . . you honestly think Baze is going to opt out of his contract, when he's owed 19.2 million ( not 16 million ) in his opt out year?
  3. Really? You think that's all Dennis is worth? A volume shooting guard and a late lottery pick? Guys like Murray and Clarkson aren't getting much better than they are right now. And a late lottery pick can be a star or a bust. No way you trade a borderline All-Star like Schröder, for that. If the 2013 draft was re-done, Schröder goes #5 behind Giannis, McCollum, Olidipo, and Gobert.
  4. This is the dilemma with having a top 5 pick. You MUST nail that pick, even if you're already strong at that position. If the Hawks believe that Bagley is good enough to be a Hall of Fame talent, you don't pass on him because you have John Collins. This is how a lot of these franchises get caught in the losing matrix. Remember, this is how we got caught up in 2006, when we opted to take Shelden Williams over Brandon Roy. And while I was a Shelden advocate ( because we did need a frontline player at the time ), Brandon was the overall better talent. We missed on back to back lottery picks in 2005 and 2006, because we couldn't identify who was the best player available.
  5. Is Collins better than Bagley? If so, in what ways?
  6. Point guards in Hawks HISTORY ( STL - Milwaukee - Tri-City - Atlanta ) . . that have averaged 20 ppg - 6 asst - and had a PER of at least 18, in a season Pete Maravich ( 1972 - 73 ) Dennis Schröder ( 2017 - 18 ) https://www.basketball-reference.com/play-index/psl_finder.cgi?request=1&match=single&type=totals&per_minute_base=36&per_poss_base=100&season_start=1&season_end=-1&lg_id=NBA&age_min=0&age_max=99&is_playoffs=N&height_min=0&height_max=99&franch_id=ATL&birth_country_is=Y&as_comp=gt&as_val=0&pos_is_g=Y&pos_is_gf=Y&pos_is_f=Y&pos_is_fg=Y&pos_is_fc=Y&pos_is_c=Y&pos_is_cf=Y&c1stat=pts_per_g&c1comp=gt&c1val=20&c2stat=ast_per_g&c2comp=gt&c2val=6&c3stat=per&c3comp=gt&c3val=18&order_by=ws
  7. Proper compensation . . . as in . . . ?
  8. Shaky start, but a strong finish at the end.
  9. So what current NBA PG do you want him to be like?
  10. Yeah, most people/players that I've seen with shoulder sprains are out a minimum of 4 - 6 weeks. We'll see just how good Emory complex is on Collins' shoulder. If he's back by Christmas, it'll show just how good they are.
  11. If he dislocated his shoulder, he could be gone 2 - 3 months. And if that's the case, they may shut him down for the year. Even a shoulder sprain could shut him down for 6 to 8 weeks.
  12. Sounds like responsibility to me.
  13. Great effort from Dennis tonight. Showing true leadership skills, even with "The King" took it upon himself to try to shut him down.
  14. The Limiter 32 minutes 7 pts - 4 rebs - 6 asst - 2 stls . . . . 5 TOs . . . ( -6 ) for the game.
  15. The fans were entertained tonight. Despite the loss, this wasn't a bad game to watch at all. I do want them to get good enough the rest of the way, that we win close to 18 games at home. Tank year or not, the fans don't deserve to watch a losing effort on the home floor for over 1/2 of the games.
  16. And then Lebron got the block that will be shown all night on the highlights. Either way, I love the way Dennis competed. Like someone said in another thread, we BEGGED Jeff Teague to do this. Dennis has fully embraced his role as the leader and the go-to scorer.
  17. LOL . . f***ing Lebron with the deep 3. Wish Dennis could get that shot back right before the 3. Collins with a possible dislocated shoulder. And Wade may have just put in the dagger. Game over.
  18. Good call by the refs on that Wade screen. Dude moving more than an offensive lineman.
  19. LOL .. now Collins is hurt. Wow. Bud gonna call up Pero.
  20. Great steal and hoop by Bembry. Hawks hanging around, despite Cleveland making all of these 3s.
  21. Baze is that dude at the park that you HATE to see, with the ball in his hands. Double dribble? Really?
  22. Nah. Cak started 78 games out of 82 that year, while Lang didn't start a single one. Cak started all 11 playoff games as well.
  23. I was just about to clown Bembry for shooting 29%. Then he pulls off that strong move to the hole. He needs to get in the groove though, and live up to his "summer league" hype.
  24. He's the greatest, most consistent thing on this site. Take down that Widespread Panic banner from Philips, and put a banner of Lethal up. Until that glorious day comes, we get to watch John Collins . . who is feasting out there already. 9 pts - 4 rebs already in 8 minutes.
  25. Red unis looking good tonight at home. Need more of that.
