  1. Delaney all of a sudden is -11 . . . and still in the game. Wow.
  2. Nique doing what he does best . . . talking crap about dumb opposing players. The target tonight is Marcus Smart.
  3. SMH Baze. And Bud is forced to bring Dennis back in for Delaney . . .errr . . . wishful thinking. He's still in the game. Bud with the 3 PG lineup . . . come on man. Who is going to play defense?
  4. And . . . . Delaney is ( -1 ) after those 5 straight points by the Celtics. He has to have nude pics of Bud or something.
  5. That Houston benching derailed our season. Bud was an idiot for doing that. I love the way he's accepting the challenge of leading this team in scoring, but also still running the offense and finding open shooters.
  6. Okafor's crime is that he's not Embiid. This dude could ALWAYS ball. Clips are from his rookie year ( first 3 months )
  7. He'd be a FOOL to leave New York, with the way he's playing. The endorsement money he could get alone per year, could surpass the NBA contract he signs for. When you're the best White player in the league . . AND . . possibly a top 10 player . . AND . . you play in the media market of the world . . AND . . your game has some "swag" to it . . he could make a killing.
  8. This is the target . . . . or targets Well, maybe not Mick. Just trying to keep the "tongue out" theme going. But Schlenk will probably throw max dollars at one of those two Warriors. Durant's deal expires at the same time as Klay's. With Steph locked up long term, it will be interesting to see what the Warriors do in relation to Durant and Klay. I think what they'll do, is sell off Iggy and Livingston at the end of this season, to free up a little more money to sign both Durant and Klay, The kicker will be Draymond at the end of the 2010 season. If Curry, Durant, and Klay are 30 - 50 million dollar players, that may open the door for a team to offer the Brinks truck to Draymond. That may be the Hawks play in 3 years, if they haven't secured a big time talent yet.
  9. Question: Who in this draft class can become an All-Star in 3 years, AND a Hall of Famer when it's all said and done?
  10. The play I most liked from him in the game, wasn't anything he did offensively. The shot clock was running down and I believe Muah a Moute had the ball like 35 ft from the basket. Taylor got right up on him, and clapped his hands rapidly 3 times, and got in the proper defensive stance. Just that one subtle gesture showed me that he was locked in from an intensity standpoint and was ready to play.
  11. Yeah you're right. Since that amazing start last November, he's been on a downward spiral.
  12. A move like that, without getting someone equal to his stature in return, would almost make me root for a 2nd team. He's really the only reason to pay attention to the Hawks these days. He's much better than he was last season, and even showing some leadership.
  13. LOL . . what picks? Who is trading for Luke Babbitt and Malcolm Delaney? Even a guy like Ilyasova, who is halfway decent when he's playing up to his potential, isn't worth a 2nd round pick.
  14. If we're going to lose like this, Bud may as well put all of the young guys in the main rotation. Quit wasting minutes on guys who may only be here one year.
  15. The other sad thing about all of this, was that the Hawks over the past 4 - 5 years, had FINALLY gained back some sort of home court advantage vs those popular teams. Very seldom did the opposing fans take over Philips, not even when Lebron came to town. But with the Hawks not even being competitive at home, that will change in a hurry. Give the damn ball to Collins so that he can get his double-double.
  16. Bud couldn't stand it. 2 minutes of Collins - Dedmon was long enough.
  17. Honestly, it's stupid NOT to play them together. They're the 2 best all around bigs on the team, who can play both the 4 and the 5. Go ahead and play them together, and see if it just may work. I'm tired of watching Moose's nothingness.
  18. When you get rid of the defensive anchors of the team, this is what you get. Millsap was the do it all guy. Howard prevented the offensive rebound domination by the other team. I just hope Dennis keeps his sanity through all of this, and don't have a meltdown at some point in the season. When guys who aren't used to losing, start losing in bunches, it definitely affects them.
  19. Delaney on the bench over there saying . . . "See? Ya'll thought it was me, huh?" Taylor ( -7 ) for the game right now.
  20. Moose is useless all of a sudden. Just start Collins and get it over with.
  21. Because that is the defense. We even collapse the paint on guys who are no threat to score on the inside, which is why we leave so many 3 point shooters open.
  22. Great convo between Nique and Stinger about shooting 3s vs taking midrange jumpers to develop their shot. These NBA coaches ruin some of these young players by pretty much forcing them to take 25 foot jumpers, when they may not be strong enough to make that shot at a consistent rate. Most college kids who are good 3 point shooters, are good 22 foot shooters . . . not good 25 foot shooters.
