Delaney already -11 . . . LOL. The gift that keeps on giving. Even if he's not playing bad or hurting the team, he does nothing to help them. So a negative ( - ) a zero = a negative

Great interview by Tony Ressler in the pre-game. He reminds me of Koonin in the way he can sell his idea.

To me, it's a continuation of what he was doing in the playoffs. The only thing he's not doing now, that he did then, was shoot a decent percentage of his 3s. It would help if he had someone else that could create for him by finding him off the ball, like Millsap and Horford did at times.

A pretty efficient game for Dennis coming back from injury - 20 points ( 7 - 16 FG . . . 2 - 6 3FG . . . 4 - 4 FT ). - 6 assists ( including a few nice ones that set up Beli ) - 0 turnovers . . . he played very under control all night, and didn't seem to force anything. +4 for the game. If it wasn't for his replacement going -11 for the game, maybe the Hawks could've pulled this one out. Unfortunately, the 1 - 5 start is the worst start for the Hawks since the 2005 - 06 season, in which they started 0 - 9. That team would start 2 - 16, and manage to win 26 games.

This is an instant Hawksquawk classic thread, BTW. This has to be the only thread ever in the history of NBA forums, that is tracking the daily +/- of a player. When a local or national writer points out Delaney's +/- number, you'll know that the thread is truly groundbreaking.

He had 8 points and 3 rebounds in the 8 minutes he played in the 2nd half, and was +9 for that stint. When you go through the play by play, Bud substituted for Collins right after the foul on Olynyk that led to an "and-1". Hawks were down 3 at that point. Before that play, Collins made a good hustle play to get an offensive board and put it back in the hole, to tie the game. After Collins leaves, the Heat promptly go on a 17 - 6 run over the next 7+ minutes, to blow the game open. If they're trying to tank, it's no reason to do it on purpose. This team, barring some vast improvement in the backup PG and "stretch 4" positions, isn't winning over 25 games. So it's no sense depriving the fan base to see the one person that we MIGHT pay to see, if he is balling, but the team continues to lose.

LOL. I used to think Bud was an A coach. He's quickly becoming a B-. Below Fratello and Lenny . . just a hair above Larry Drew.

So did Collins get hurt? He helped get us back in the game in the 3rd, and never sees the floor again?
