  1. Clocks move up 1 hr Saturday night. Thabo just wanted to get a jump start. I guess Bud believes our biggest problem is a lack of discipline and timeliness. It may be your adjustments too, Bud. I wonder if he shows up late for something, if he'll suspend himself too? My bad. The league already got eemm.
  2. The problem is that Bud didn't replace Teague with a quality NBA backup PG. He betted on Delaney to be a reliable backup PG, which is the same mistake Ice-T made in New Jack City, when he betted on Pookie ( a supposedly rehabed crackhead ) to be a reliable informant, Also, Prince should've been playing and in the rotation from Day 1. Had he been playing a consistent 12 - 18 minutes a game, he may have been a solid backup SF by now. Instead, he's going through major growing pains and struggling to find his role on the team.
  3. Not if you're the star of the company. People who are great at what they do, always get more leeway than people who are mediocre to bad. Everybody is not judged the same. Tonight was proof what happens when you let Dennis play. Had Bud been on his power trip again, we would've lost to the Nets THE NETS
  4. What I’m supposed to do? Settle for mediocrity and stay in a .500 mode and not do anything and just be OK with that? That’s the problem with the whole image of this group is that that’s been OK, and if we’re underdogs and we don’t win it, that’s OK. No. I won’t settle for that. I’ll continue to shuffle until I find something that works best to give us the best chance to hold the trophy. And if people don’t like it, they can kiss my a–. A quote from Bud? Ummmm, no. That's Memphis Grizzlies coach David Fizdale ( one of Woody's old assistants ). If Bud had this mentality, Baze would be on the bench ( buried ) and Prince and Bembry would be main rotation players. Humphries might be playing too.
  5. No, I mean that it was the play of THJ that bailed the team out, from getting blown out.
  6. 2 pt game. 1 min to go. Smh Ersan with possibility the biggest offensive rebound and putback of the season. Up 4. 52 sec
  7. Miami is 19 - 4 in their last 23 games. If they continue to win at that clip, the Heat will end up with 45 wins. That may be good enough to get them the 5th seed. For the Hawks to win 45 games, we have to go 11 - 8 the rest of the way. Doesn't sound like much, but we're 10 - 11 in our last 21 games, with 7 losses by 15 or more points. The Hawks are going to be an easy out in the 1st round, if they don't right this ship. Miami could easily win a series vs Washington or Toronto . . . and against us.
  8. LOL . . . exactly. We might beat the Nets, but what if they push us well into the 4th quarter? And what if it's not Dennis' fault? That means that things are NOT OK. Honestly, if it wasn't for THJ bailing this team out with his scoring the past 3 games - ( 26.3 ppg - 57% FG - 46% 3FG ) - this thing would look a whole hell of a lot worse.
  9. I swear . . . this is playing out like Hoosiers. Bud thinks he's Gene Hackman. Keep it up, and Hawks fans going to have a town meeting to replace your ass. Bud doing things to show that HE's in control. You're in control of nothing, if you lose games due to your ego. Yeah Bud. Your word may be LAW . . . but you better sure you don't hurt the team in the long run. Because even in this movie, Coach Dale ( Bud ) needed the superstar player to take him to the promised land. And even on the last play of the season, the "system" was thrown out the window, and Coach let his best player go ISO to win the championship.
  10. Jordan Crawford dropped 19 pts without a single practice. Practice is overrated. If you can ball, you can ball without knowing the people around you.
  11. One play ... In arguably the most anticipated game of this season. It's one thing if you do that against Brooklyn. You don't do that vs the Warriors. And Bud better remember who the hell he is. You're Mike Budenholzer .. Not Gregg Popovich. We appreciate everything you've done here. But on the other hand, you ain't done ( bleep ). So don't act like you got the pedigree to bench one of our best players on some trivial BS, and think you can get away with it.
  12. And for the final salt in the wound, TRUE BALLER made his way back into the NBA tonight with New Orleans, @ Utah. Of course, the Pelicans still lost, but tell me again that you wouldn't rather have this on the Hawks, than Delaney. What a disappointing night. Bud, you have to do better . . . in BOTH of your jobs.
  13. Why do the Hawks play better on the road, than at home? That's my biggest question right now.
  14. Nah . . . ya'll don't mean it. Because it's always a "yeah, but . . . . " when we have these discussions. The perfect player does not exist. If a player has an elite or borderline elite skill set, but is flawed in other areas, people tend to act like the negatives outweigh the positives. Not true. But this ship has passed, at least until the offseason. Let's see what happens then.
  15. OK . . . that was Ilyasova that backed all the way off of Kyle, and was nowhere near Lebron. That's a correctable mistake that Bud will surely point out. No way Kyle was missing that wide open of a shot.
  16. Kyle with that dagger 3. If he misses that, we win the game. Instead, they go up 4 and give them just enough cushion to hang on. Horrible game from the 2nd quarter to midway through the 4th. Great finish. Still an L though.
  17. Score 60 pts at the half, but down 17? #OnlyTheHawks
  18. 27mMarc Stein‏ @ESPNSteinLine NBA teams were notified this week that, with Golden State waiving him Wednesday night, Jose Calderon IS playoff-eligible for his next team.
  19. Marc Stein‏ @ESPNSteinLine The Atlanta Hawks hope to add Jose Calderon to their roster as early as Saturday, according to league sources.11:01 AM · Mar 3, 2017
  20. Sam Mitchell ( former Toronto and Minnesota coach ) just spent 2 minutes on SiriusXM NBA Radio glowing about Calderon, calling him "the best leader I've ever coached". Says his teammates always loved him and would run through a brick wall for him. Also said if something happened to Dennis, he could step right in and lead. Leadership + borderline elite 3 point shooting added to the team. Doesn't sound like a 15th man to me.
  21. If we had a need for a backup wing, then I'd be all for bringing in Jordan. But he's not a point guard. Not even close. Jordan Clarkson maybe. And ya'll don't like the other Jordan, who can play point, so . . .
