  1. Even the Wizards SBNation site clowned us, along with Lil Yachty Wow. What a horrible night.
  2. Yep. 20% of New York is already in Atlanta anyway. Why not add another piece?
  3. Millsap: 4 pts - 4 rebs - 1 stl - 1 reb - 1 blk . . . . . ( in 23 minutes ) Embiid: ( w/4 min to go ): 29 pts - 6 rebs - 3 asst - 3 stl - 1 blk . . . . ( in 24 minutes ) That's why Philly was mad We'd be under .500 without Howard.
  4. LOL . . you don't trade Melo for Millsap. That's counterproductive as hell. You trade Baze, while his value is a little better now. Melo should only be added if the Hawks are serious about competing for a title. Not to just stay competitive. Melo would probably reject a trade that saw Millsap leave anyway.
  5. Knicks come to town on Sunday Afternoon. Maybe a Saturday night trade can be executed for you know who..
  6. Worst case scenario for the Hawks tonight - Blowout loss in front of a nice home crowd - The 2 teams ahead of us win - The 2 teams behind us win Thanks Hawks
  7. Maybe the Hawks are partaking in a little too much "Atlanta entertainment" before home games. Stay AWAY from this place . . . . DENNIS Schröder !!
  8. The Nation? I thought that was a bunch of Kappas.
  9. Paul getting that respect from the coaches, that JJ used to get. Congrats to Millsap. Desiigner approves too.
  10. Good article. Didn't know that the Hawks made tweaks to his jumper. His shot does look great at times. But his issue is that he plays too fast and out of control at key points of the game. Last night, he played with control and confidence.
  11. Paul is the key to just about everything we do on defense. We lose him, everything collapses.
  12. For those of you who didn't see the game . . . like me. LOL . . no way should the Hawks have won this game. Just great team win by these guys. As hot as Butler and Wade were, you could probably stomach a loss tonight. But those back to back to back 3s in the 4th were a thing of beauty. Great win guys.
  13. I was just watching this game at this part. He definitely said F--k no. Then Jimmy proceeds to score on the other end to tie the game up.
  14. Bud loves Muscala's offense. But I agree completely with Humphries over Moose. Maybe he's a guy who we can deal for a needed asset. Moose is a free agent at the end of the year too. So it'll be interesting to see what he'll get in the open market.
  15. Same here with Dwight. I didn't want him here either. But the chance to add him with Horford and Millsap is something we couldn't pass up. Once Horford bounced to Boston, I was all for the Howard move.
  16. In the playoffs, you need people who can take and make their own shot outside of an offensive system. Melo can do both . . . play within Bud's system, and score in ISO situations. Keep in mind that the BIG complaint about Millsap, is his lack of clutchness down the stretch of games. He's a good offensive player, but not necessarily a closer at the end of games. Matter of fact . . . who is currently the closer for the Hawks? Millsap? Schröder? THJ?
  17. LOL . . . shake your head all you want homie. The Hawks need this. You team that up with Millsap, Howard, and Dennis . . we're going to the EC Finals with a LEGIT shot to take out the Cavs.
  18. Nique couldn't trust his teammates. Even in that 1994 season, Lenny had a big problem with Nique just looking to be a scorer and not more of a team guy. Nique was going through wild hot and cold stretches ( much like Melo this season ). But his teammates couldn't be trusted offensively. The Hawks specifically targeted Manning because Lenny thought Danny was a much better team player, while also showing the ability to be an All-Star level scorer. But once the playoffs hit, no one could help Manning ( who didn't have a bad series vs Indiana ). It just goes to show that you need at least 2 TRUE All-Star level guys playing together, in order to be successful come playoff time. The modern day Knicks are good enough offensively to be a playoff team. But their defense sucks. And while everyone always harps on Carmelo's defense, he's not the one losing his matchup on a nightly basis. It's the Knicks other frontline players ( Noah and O'Quinn ) who can't stop anybody. When they finally decide to play Porzingis at C, and bench Noah, the Knicks will become more consistent. Having said that, I've always said that Carmelo Anthony is the game changer for the Hawks. People may not like his game, but he's exactly what this team needs. If you can acquire a guy like that, without losing Howard, Millsap, or Schröder, you pull the trigger on a trade. That way, Melo will be surrounded by players who can play defense, which will make him look like a better defensive player.
  19. Washington is playing very well recently. Despite that horrible road record, 3 of those road wins have occurred in January vs Milwaukee, New York, and Charlotte. They looked real good last night though, specifically Wall and Beal.
  20. And when we got Moses, we lost Kevin Willis for dang near an entire season in 1989.
  21. Not nearly as much as you think. http://www.hoopsstats.com/basketball/fantasy/nba/atlanta-hawks/players/dennis-Schröder/profile/17/1/13 But when he does outplay his direct opponent, the Hawks usually win.
