    Nique

She's 6 - 4 too. Just tall, beautiful, and sexy. Very good game analyst as well. Nique would be even more distracted if she was added as a 3rd wheel to the broadcast. Nique still has that "pimp game" in him, so he would try to flirt with Lachina on air.

    Nique

This hatred of Nique needs to stop. In fact, let's see if the "Nique Jinx" has truth to it ( which it doesn't ) for the rest of the season. From now on, this thread becomes the official Nique "dagger" thread. If he calls a game, and the Hawks go on to win, give him his props. If he calls a game, and the opponent comes back to tie the score or takes the lead, criticism should be lobbed at Nique. All NBA teams make runs. So if Nique calls a game when we're up 6, and we only win by 3, that doesn't make Nique a jinx. That makes him correct. I wonder if people can even name 3 or 4 games in which Nique has called a game, and the opponent came back to tie the game, take a lead, or win?
  3. Joe Johnson since the start of 2016 22 games 13 ppg 4.4 asst 3.5 rebs 48% FG 47% 3FG 93% FT Bud said that offense is the main problem with the Hawks. If he's bought out, you IMMEDIATELY sign that dude.
  4. Naw. Forget that goofball. Everything that Shaq says about him, is right.

  6. Good job for not making a bad deal. Wins 48 games ... secures 3rd seed ... beats Miami and Toronto to get to the ECF Tavares becomes a key role player down the stretch and into the playoffs.
  7. In that case, they're going to bring back Pero.
  8. NBA Trade deadline day is like an episode of Punk'd. All we need now is Kyle Korver, pretending to be Ashton Kutcher, screaming ... YOU'VE JUST BEEN PUNK'D! Now .... on with the season.
  9. LOL. If we were to trade for Delle, the Hawks would literally have to "jump him in", gang style, for what he did to Korver.
  10. That would be great to go 7 - 3, but still have people saying that we can't take the Hawks seriously. To me though, it's all about avoiding a 2nd round matchup with Cleveland. So a win is a win.
  11. Ya'll can talk trade rumors for now, but give your thoughts to this topic after the frenzy is over. In the next 10 games, we have 5 straight home games, and 5 straight road games. 8 of those 10 games are against current playoff level teams, including 2 games vs the world champion Warriors. Home stand Miami ... Milwaukee ... Golden State ... Chicago ... Charlotte Since I have the full week off next week, I plan to go to at least one of these games. I need to see for myself why these guys are so inconsistent. A lot of times, you can see things going on throughout a game in person, that you may not see on TV. At any rate, it would be in the Hawks best interest to take 4 out of 5 of these games. And don't be shocked if we pull off an upset against the Warriors. The Hawks are still one of the few teams in the league that could match the Warriors shot for shot, if guys like Korver, Teague, and Mike Scott have the 3 ball going. If Teague is traded, Dennis will have to come up HUGE in this game. 3 out of 5 is more realistic. 1 or 2 out of 5 would be very disappointing, and may send the Hawks down a death spiral to the 8th seed. Road gauntlet Golden State ... LA Lakers ... LA Clippers ... Utah ... Toronto The most dangerous part of the Hawks schedule is right here. 3 high level playoff teams. A Utah team that is red hot over its last 10 games. And a Laker team that is horrible, but has seen its Hall of Famer have flashes of greatness in recent weeks. A Hawks team that had a bad home stand could easily lose ALL 5 of these games. To get some momentum going, the Hawks need to win 3 of these games. It doesn't matter which 3 games they win .. ( although fans will feel good about this team if 2 of the 3 wins came vs the Warriors, Raptors, and/or Clippers ) Best case scenario: 8 - 2 The Hawks get it going starting Friday night and win all 5 games at home and go 3 -2 on the road ( with a win vs Toronto ). This would put the Hawks at 39 - 26, with another stretch of 6 out of 8 home games that could really put the Hawks within striking distance of Toronto, if they take care of business at home. Worst case scenario: 2 - 8 The Hawks lose back to back close games to Miami and Milwaukee, and get throttled by Golden State. They bounce back vs Chicago ( who may be in straight freefall mode by next week ), but lose another close game to Charlotte. The road stand goes no better, with the Hawks only picking up a road win vs the Lakers ( in a hard fought ugly game ). The 2 -8 record puts the Hawks at 33 - 32, and in the 8th seed. Realistic case: 5 - 5 Hawks continue their yo-yo play. Lose to Miami. Beat Millwaukee and upsets Golden State. Somehow barely beat Chicago. But give it right back in a bad loss to Charlotte. Then they go on the road and get throttled by Toronto, GS, and LAC, prompting people to call the Hawks "sorry" and saying that they should've blown the whole team up ( instead of staying pat, or just trading one piece ). Wins vs LAL and Utah enable us to go .500 in that 10 game stretch. At 36 - 29, that keeps the Hawks in 4th place, but keeps them in jeopardy of falling to 7th or 8th, due to the lack of separation created.

    50 wins!

Funny how being the 4th seed in the East, 1st in the Southeast division, and the 9th best record in the NBA = the Hawks playing horribly. They're simply a good, but inconsistent team.
  13. It's still the same though. Moose is barely a NBA player. Give Edy the 10 - 15 minutes that Moose will get now. If he develops into a guy who can defensive rebound and alter shots, he'd be much more of an asset than the jumpshooting Muscala. And we can always bring in a scrub big body, if need be. Heck, Bud has even played Millsap some at center in small ball lineups. No such thing as giving up too much, when the guy wasn't an integral part of the team to begin with.
  14. I wouldn't have a problem with that lineup. I think giving Dennis the keys to the offense will either break and expose him, or elevate him to a top 10 PG level. No in between.
  15. What you mean "too much?" Moose is barely a NBA player. Splitter's injury makes him expendible. And 85% of 2nd round picks fail to even stay in the league 3 years, let alone be a rotation player. So now we're coveting Moose and low 2nd round picks, after wanting to "blow" it up?
  16. Well if that's the case, send them Splitter + Moose + 2nd rd pick, for Lance. Move Edy to back up center. To me, that's giving up minimal assets for a player that just may help you.
  17. One of the whole points of all of these trade talks, is the lack of chemistry from this team this year, especially from the wings. Fans too often want the perfect fit, perfect acting player. If we can get away with acquiring Lance on the cheap, or with a miminal trade, it's a low risk move. If he's bad, just keep him on the bench and enact the team option. But if he's good, the BudCox regime may have pulled off one hell of a move.
  18. What are his stats for this season? And Edy is the big that should be playing.
  19. No mistake. Lance is still the type of wing we need in Bud's offense. People complain about defensive rebounding? Well, that's something that the dude has no problem doing. Lance had a horrific year in Charlotte, but has bounced back to be a decent role player with the Clippers. Would be nice if we could acquire Lance for a Splitter + 2nd round pick. If it doesn't work out, we just exercise the team option and let him go in the summer.
  20. "True baller", Jordan Crawford once had 39 points in a game ... plus had a few triple doubles.
  21. I've been an Edy advocate all year, as well as yourself.
