  1. It's OK man. I understand why he hates Lebron. As long as he understands that the hate comes from jealousy, he'll be OK.
  2. So you wouldn't trade any 3 players on this team, to bring him here? It's OK to be mad. It's even OK to be jealous. But the random hate is just childish. I'm sure myself and the 18,000+ in Philips would like 50% of our money back, for that performance tonight.
  3. Dude please. People just need to stop with the Lebron hate. Because the hate is based out of jealousy. In my wildest dreams, I never thought Cleveland ( of all teams ) could make us look like the Knicks. They're straight up punking us, and Lebron is toying with us. My Fandom won't be swayed even if we get swept. But the Lebron hate needs to cease. I'd trade a combination of any 3 players on this team, plus a 1st round draft pick, for him. That's how good he is.
  4. The whole city hates that dude now. By the way, he was +15 tonight ... with no points, 5 rebs, and 4 fouls. If we had won, people would've said how he impacted the game without making a contribution on the statboard.
  5. Wish we had that "jerk". We wouldn't be down 2 - 0, with little to no hope of even making this a series.
  6. And that's the game. Mass exodus out of this arena now. Hope by some miracle they can get a game in Cleveland so that they can come back home and at least give a better showing than this.
  7. Ha. You see that pass he just threw? The entire arena went ohhhhh, in disgust. People starting to leave now. Glad I "only" paid $100 for this ticket. Needless to say I'm highly disappointed in their effort tonight. Playing like a defeated team. I'll stick around until the last 3 minute TV timeout.
  8. SMH ... now everybody hurt. Wow. Put John Jenkins in. Let him jack up some 3s.
  9. Better rebounded and all around better player. He's just not a "floor spacer". Then again, when people let Pero shoot uncontested, he's not really spacing the floor either.
  10. If it's any series Brand should be playing in, is this one. Bett
  11. I'm in Tennessee, and I saw a person with an Atlanta Hawks Pac man shirt. But it was an old style 80s logo shirt, that was faded. Like he finally had a reason to break it out after 25+ years. And the more I wear my Hawks gear around, I'm either getting smack talk from Lebron fans, or people asking me "can they do it?" Just an amazing time to be a fan of this team right now. It's similar to what I saw in Memphis 3 years ago.
  12. Mark Gasol will be maxed out by Memphis, in money and on years ... unless he takes less years to make more money on an even bigger contract later. Barring a trip to the NBA Finals, I don't know what the Hawks could sell to Gasol to bring him here. Memphis has accomplished just as much as we have these past 4 years. MAYBE you could sell Gasol on the fact that it may be easier to win a title in the East, with Lebron being the main obstacle ... instead of in the West, where you have to go through 80% of the All-NBA team to get there.
  13. Kyle Korver cannot be the focus of this offense. Get him the ball when open, but don't force the ball to him. Honestly, it was Brooklyn that laid out how to defend him as a team, but didnt have that one individual defender to slow him down. Washington on the other hand, beat him up on both ends of the floor with bumps off screens. Getting physical with Korver on offense, combined with attacking him on defense, is really wearing him down. The one thing that could actually help Kyle, is to start cutting to the basket instead of hanging out by the 3 point line all the time. A whopping 85% of his shot attempts in the playoffs have been from 3 point range. It was at 75% during the season. Midrange 2's are not a bad shot if you're open. Maybe a simple "Pero" pump fake to have his defender lunge at him + 2 dribbles toward the goal, could free him up for a shot. 5 straight games now in which Kyle has scored less than 10 points. In those games, he's shooting 33% FG and 29% 3FG. 5.2 ppg on 5.4 FGA is abysmal.
  14. Paul made life very difficult for Lebron in that 4th quarter. Lebron was like 1- 5 FG with Paul guarding him in that 4th quarter. We have no choice but to put Paul on Lebron, and hope he turns into a jumpshot er instead of a driver.
  15. A true miracle. Glad that this isn't a serious injury. A ton ACL would've cost him millions.
  16. With as much pain as he was in, I doubt that. If it is, it's a miracle.
  17. My bad. I'm still so pissed that I didn't even realize this thread was started days ago. Smh.
  18. Honestly, I could give 2 dead flies about Paul right now. Why is this even a thought right now? How about a "what do we need to do to win Game 2" thread. ( bleep ) Chris Paul ... and his brother Cliff.
  19. It's been happening all playoffs. Guys like Schröder need to stop acting like they're 40% 3 point shooters. Maybe other guys will get some burn now though. Guys who can make open shots.
  20. I think I speak for the entire fan base when I say you better tread mothafu*kin lightly on here tonight. You're down 2 big men. We're down 2 defensive SFs. So I guess everything is even on the injury front. Just tread lightly tonight.
  21. This is what I was talking about with Horford last week. He has to WANT to be an elite player, not just a good one. 8 - 12 FG .. 16 pts .. 7 rebs .. +2 on the floor. Those are GOOD numbers. But he needs to strive for greatness, whether it's shooting the jumper everytime he's open, or putting his head down and attacking the rim. He has to want GREATNESS ... not GOODNESS. That's what JR Smith did tonight. Lebron went to the bench, he made a few shots, and literally went into superstar mode for a 5 minute stretch. And it was enough to win the game for them.
  22. I've torn my ACL before. I know exactly how that pain feels. With the amount of pain he was in, he probably tore his ACL and his PCL. 7 - 9 months minimum recovery if he did that. He could literally be out until next January.
  23. In a sports bar right now. Hawks jersey and all. Glad no one is talking to me or rubbing the Cavs win in my face. I may seriously go to jail, or get my ass kicked by bouncers, because I'm swinging on anybody talking outrageously crazy to me. Mad as hell at Bud continuing to stick with Pero. We need people on the floor who us going to be active on the boards. Not watch people get rebounds. Hawks went ice cold at the wrong time when JR was making impossible jumpers. Cavs going Iso the last 6 minutes of the game actually got us back in it. Millsap actually did a great job defending him in isolation ... until his last drive and dunk. Without DeMarre, Al Horford has to become a MONSTER the rest of this series. Either that, or Bud has to get some major help off the bench. Might even have to turn to Mike Scott or even John Jenkins, to see if they can provide some instant offense. I know one thing though, this is NOT the series for Pero. His strength is post defense. Mosgov isn't posting anybody up. All he's doing is crashing toward the rim, looking for lobs and offensive rebounds. Tough loss to swallow. In a year of crazy adversity, it simply gets crazier. Demarre arguably lost 10 - 25 million tonight. Sad to see that happen to him. Thanks for everything you did for the squad this season.
