  1. Have you seen Tyronne Lue play defense? Easily bottom 5.
  2. Thanks. I guess if there was a free agent they really wanted they could have just renounced their rights to Al.
  3. Quote: Under no circumstance would I want Randolph. Agreed. No way to Randolph.
  4. Imagine if the Hawks took Josh Smith at 6 and then Jameer Nelson at 17! That would have been awesome.
  5. Interesting. Does not seem to make sense logically with respect to an unrestricted free agent.
  6. Quote: I said this in another thread so I'll say it again: until we actually trade Harrington he DOES count against our cap and keeps us from being able to sign or trade for another player. Indiana knows this. I am almost willing to put money on the table that Indiana is playing hardball on the protection on the 2007 1st rounder and knows the longer they drag it out with BK the more it hurts the Hawks by having other teams and players sign elsewhere. If BK is holding out for unprotected or only top 3 or some such, this could be why the holdup is taking so long. The only negative for Indiana is that by doing it they run the risk of pissing BK off to the point we simply trade him elsewhere instead of rewarding Indiana for effectively sabotating our offseason. Indiana has nothing to lose by keeping our hands tied and forcing us to take even less than we are now for Harrington. How does Harrington count against the Hawks cap - he is not under contract for next year?
  7. Miles and Randolph will be tought to move for sure. But you have to be excited about that potential starting five of Jack/Roy/Webster/Aldridge/Pryz. The best thing about that potential line-up is that they all potentially complement each other well: Jack is not a pure point but does not have to be playing next to Roy who can help with the playmaking. Aldridge can focus on offensive while Pryz does the dirty work inside, and Webster's shooting ability will be great when ever Roy/Jack slash to the hoop and pass it out or when the defense collapses inside on Aldridge. Lots of athletic ability in that line-up and good size as well. Obviously one or all could bust but it looks good in theory.
  8. Swift makes zero sense for th Hawks. He is a skinny power forward. I would rather Sheldon, Smoove or Marvin get minutes then Swift.
  9. Portland is going to be a very interesting team in a few years. They are absolutely stock piled now with you talent. They could be looking at a starting line-up in a year of Jack/Roy/Webster/Aldridge/Pryz with some decent talent off the bench in Freeland, Kryapa, Rodriguez, Outlaw, Dixon, etc. Roy will likely be their JJ/star, with scoring helo from Aldridge. Webster will be a deep threat, Jack a leader on the floor with his toughness and Pryz doing the dirty work inside. Impressive collection of young guys to be sure. They need to jetison Randolph and Miles asap and get a few stable veterans to set the tone for the next two years.
  10. That would make alot of sense, but it seems Granger has many of the same offensive skills as Al since in college he had a nice inside/outside game. Do they still have Sjax or who is their shooting guard? They need a good perimeter shooter to open things up inside.
  11. I don't think signing Baston would impact the Pacers interest in Al. What I have to question though is why the Pacers are interested in Al at all. They have Granger who should be able to step up into prime-time at the small forward position. Jermaine is the PF and then Foster/Harrison at center. Unless they plan on playing Jermaine at center a bunch with Al at power forward.
  12. Here I have to agree with KB. The Hawks need to be in the 2007 draft.
  13. Quote: Quote: Don't get on my bad side. Hahah, ANOTHER one! Thanks, dude "You won't like me when I'm angry."
  14. Quote: Quote: Catfight??? :-0 This is an issue that can only be settled... in the octagon! Thunderdome! Two men enter one man leaves!
  15. Quote: If that is the case, then why is it that I can get into any MD residency program while MD graduates cannot get into any DO residency programs? Don't speak on issues that you don't have a clue about. I'll rip you apart. Because MD's don't want to go to DO programs. I have many friends who attended med school, and at least one who went to DO school. The one who went to DO school did so because he did not get into an MD program. But you are right, most people would turn down Hopkins and Harvard to co to PCSOM.
  16. Quote: It's not the fact that they disagree. It's a fact that the whole thought process of why they are griping about is completely stupid. Isn't DO school for people who are too stupid to get into a real med school?
  17. Well, it is not on the level of Diesel catching him in an out-and-out lie, but it is funny nevertheless. It seems that KB gets himself in trouble when he tries and thinks what BK will do, then has to back-track when BK does something different. If he stops thinking and just waits until after BK does something then he will be all right.
  18. Quote: An invalid is a person that is partially or completely disabled....such as a person with a mental disability. Somehow, I knew that medical term would be above most of you. As a doctor I bet "bed side manner" is one of your strengths.
  19. Quote: Do any of you have any concept of what it means to take on bad, long term contracts? I know that it must be difficult for some of you to be invalid fans, but it's not too difficult to see what long term damage can be done by taking on contracts like Tinsley and Murphy have. what exactly is an "invalid fan"?
  20. Quote: When was the last time Jermaine O'Neal played in more than 75% of Indiana's games? They were a borderline playoff team this past season and have done nothing to improve themselves to this point. Al Harrington isn't going to make them a lock for the playoffs, much less make them a lock to be one of the top 10 teams in the entire NBA. At worst, the pick will be around the 15th or 16th pick, but I don't think Indiana is going to make the playoffs. What about giving Granger more minutes? According to you he is the second most talented guy in last years draft.
  21. Your signature raises an interesting question: Who has contradicted themselves more often - KB21 or Diesel?
  22. Quote: Quote: I post because you guys need me to post Jessep: "you want me on that wall, you need me on that wall." I was thinking the same thing. Too funny.
  23. At the end of the day, success in sports is measured by wins and losses. Until one of his teams wins something BK will never be mentioned among the elite front office men of the NBA. We should know alot more about BK's abilities after this season, since the core of the team (JJ, JS, MW ZP, JC) has already had a season together.
