I get the injuries, but the defense holding a lead has been a major problem for the last few years. The prevent defense when up 2+ scores invariably leads to a nail biting last second play. I'm starting to look at DQ with a side eye.

The effort wasn't there last year at times. He'd get lost on team defense a lot as well. Year 1 he had Millsap to help him on defensive sets/schemes and not much responsibility elsewhere. He could also play more agressive on the perimter with Dwight in the middle. Bud did say he had to change the defensive scheme last year based on his personnel. Dennis also said he himself let his defense fall off last season with more offensive responsibilities.

Michael Cunnigham from the AJC was the beat writee last year, took over from C-Viv, so far this season I haven't seen one thing of note from MC. C-Viv has provided more 'content' so far. They do a piss poor job of covering team as it is.

Exactly. Every team has parts of practice that is open to media and parts that are closed. NBA, NFL they all do it.
