  1. So is Cleveland going to tank or no?
  2. Faried was just an energy guy PnR guy and rebounder at his best. Collins surpassed that last year by showing some skill with his passing. Faried never took the next step after showing out on team USA which he parlayed into a big contract.
  3. It's laughable really. All I will say is that Baze may have had the best statistical and consistant year last year across the board especially when you consider how AWFUL he was the previous year. People forgot that, so when you compare those 2 years it looks like he made a grand leap but he really had know where to go but up. But Best player.....naaaw. Let me say it again.....Brad is really horrible.
  4. I used to listen, can't listen to all that stuttering from Brad. I stopped listening when he heaped praise on Moose and DelaneySucks. Haven't listened to a pod since. Those guys are just fans like you and What's gonna happen is that all the Lin fans will here them rave about Lin and think they know what they are talking about. Crazy talk. The fact they think Collins' ceiling is Faried when JC has already added a jumper, a 3 ball and the ability to make a play from the top of the key either for himself or teammate while Faried has NONE of that is lunancy. The real kicker - Lanlock was OK in SL is just bat shite crazy. Yep to all this.
  5. Imma pull a Steve Holman...'For the Love of God.....,not this ish again' in every single thread.
  6. Parkers deal is a 1+1, team option in year 2.
  7. Kaba will return to France for another season but hopes to be back soon. “I feel ready to come here,” he said of his progression to the NBA. “I’m just trying to take my opportunities and be ready.” That boy was looking ripped. OT: Moose is going into his 5th NBA season and looks like he doesn't know where the weight room is, smh.
  8. I'm not sure how many times I will have to say this, but I will again......I tip the scales for drafting Collins and the 2017 draftees in BudCox and their scouting teams favour as did Schlenk. Schlenck said he was scouting later picks while still with GSW and relied heavily on the existing team that did the leg work scouting and preparing for the draft. He wasn't just going to come in and change the draft process. Collins was on the radar long before Schlenk: https://www.google.com/amp/s/www.myajc.com/sports/basketball/collins-the-latest-connection-between-hawks-wake-forest/dpa23mwhkHHaMNxCu2fVqM/amp.html
  9. Trae Young - Nash with the vision plus Stockton's toughness. Tyler Dorsey - NYK John Starks, just played all out. Deandre Bembry - Ron Harper, add his offensive game to Bembry's ability to handle the ball and his defensive awareness. Kevin Huerter - Clyde Drexler with a 3 ball. Taurean Prince - Scottie Pippen, add Pippens ability to run the offense, put the ball on the floor, run the floor, rebound and defend to Prince's 3 ball. Omari Spellman Kevin Garnett with some weight loss. A repertoire of offensive moves, ability to pass, rebound and defend but not the explosive athlete like KG. John Collins Karl Malone/Nique Hybrid with a 3 ball, master of the PnR, developed a jump shot as his career progress. Add Malones post defensive ability to strip the ball as the shot is going up. Add Nique ability to score from wherever and whenever with the Human Highlight Factory Film thingy.
  10. On 2 guys with past ACL issues, smh.
  11. Ha, but No. That's not on Bud. Parker was offered an extension during the season, he declined. Bud wasn't the one who overpaid Henson (10.6), Delly (9.6), Snelly,(10.5) Tele(10.5) and the Plumlee (12.4) we have (brought here by Schlenk), then made a trade to hard cap their team and put them him luxury tax hell if they matched a RFA offer on Parker from the Bulls, instead forcing them to decline his QO. That's on their GMJohn Horst, the same guy who let the cat out of the bag who they were drafting so Schlenk was able to keep the #30 instead of trading it along with #19 to move up 2 spots. Oh...Parker isn't worth $20 million.
  12. Brooklyn paying the trade kicker of $1 plus mil but it still counts as $13.8 mil against the Hawks cap.
  13. I was talking to @kg01 about Jarret Jack. The Hawks released him from his vet min contract since he wasn't ready for the season....(so it's more he would have no interest in the Hawks, but for the right price) I never said I didn't want Jack. The question was - who would be cut from the training camp roster - I voted Jack since he wasn't a full participant in camp, not playing 5 on 5 and he didn't play any preseason games and would not be ready to start the season. They are paying the 10 % trade kicker ~$1.4 million. Trade kicker only.
  14. The same way this season ended, I can see it going the same way to end this season.
  15. No. I think the directive will come from upper management that the 'young guys will play more'. Pierce will play who is available to him.
  16. Depending on our record towards the end of the season......yes. If Dennis Baze or Dedmon are still on the team past the deadline based on record.....yes. It will be another season of Development over Wins.
