That's my trade suggestion from last week. A Carmelo buyout from OKC would involve them stretching Melo over 3 years at $9 mil per. I proposed we send them Plumlee so they can buy him out and stretch him over 5 years at $4.9 mil. Luxury tax savings with a straight Melo buyot is $100mil, a Plumlee buyout may add an additional $30 mil in LT. Then we buyout Melo. Only to Houston after negotiating buyout or traded and bought out.

Exactly, since we don't need to hit the dloor until seasons end we can keep our capspace unti the deadline if we have to. This statement doesn't seem as if we'll be signing any free agents with our capspace but rather using it to make trades.

It's not even so much that he's a dinosaur, it's that he's a dinosaur with what appears to be a bad work ethic. He should have been working hard on his body and game in Philly when he realised he wasn't going to play and he would be traded. Nets had to whip him into shape when they traded for him.

Trae won't fix all his flaws this summer, it'll take timevas his body develoos. All he needs to do is focus on what he does well and do those things, work on improving the things he needs to get better at and cut out the bad stuff. It took Teague 3/4 years to develop a RELIABLE floater.

Hawks currently have 12 guaranteed roster spots. Do we start the season with 14 or 15? Who gets to stay with Big club? Antonius Cleveland or Jaylen Morris? I don't think we keep both. My vote is for Cleveland. Jaylen Adams is on a 2 way GL contract, who gets the 2nd? I say bring Kaba over and sign him to a GL 2way contract.

Poison Pill contract should work.

He's going the Anthony Bennett route. Has he developed a jumper, has he improved his effort on defense and rebounding? He's considered a lumbering big and especially defensively. He might be best served signing a GL contract or going to China.
