I think they were hoping that Chandler and Athur would opt out, particularly Chandler who has bee unhappy there. They are/were looking for some type of asset in return for him. They probably wanted our #19 for #14 and Faried. How about a 2020 1st (top 10 protected) for Chandler, Faried, Arthur (all expirings) $32 mil in exchange for Baze. ($18 mil). Saves Denver $14 mil and get a useful player at the wing that plays defense. Hawks pretty much take on $14 mil for the pick since we're sending Baze out. Arthur may take a medical retirement so he can be cut.

Resigning Jokic and Barton wiill pit the Nuggs over the salary cap, will they pay it or will they be in a dumping mood? Faried and a 1st to Atlanta.

Because Schlenk has said that he's willing to take om bad salary for future assests perhaps. I'd be ok doing that if we can send out Plumlee. We have $20 mil in capspace, I don't see Schlenk blowing it all on Deng though.

Why all the fuss...Schlenk has already stated that we ate going to sit out the early frenzy which means no high dollar contracts, he's also said he open to taking bad contracts for 1sts. We've got $20 mil in capspace so no Cousins. (Besides he doesn't fit our timeline) Say we use $10-$15 to take on a bad contract for a 1st, that leaves $10 - $5 mil left for 2 FAs, unless we take on even more money but send out something like Plumlees $12 mil. to offset the amounts. We won't be using the MLE either. Beasley....eeech.

Why would NOP move Mirotic? They wouldn't. Hawks save $7 mil next offseason from Baze to Hill, just saying.
