I have been talking about taking Faried and #14 into our capspacd for awhile. It's not so much it's a bad contract it's the fact that Denver has to clear capspace to sign Jokic (no bird rights)to an extention this offseason or risk losing him to UFA next season. I don't want the Hawks to get too cute with the pick in trying to trade down unnecessarily.

Fixed. 2 winning season over .500 with a sub .500 record overall. And they should, they have enough high lottery picks.

This is why I think Dennis sticks around at least for now. Rehab his value and take another look at the trade deadline. At the end of last season, Bazemore was so bad we would have had to include a pick to move him, by the trade deadline he had gained some value back. He's a flawed player and those were highlighted even more with a bummy team around him. I think he can regain some defensive chops if he isn't tasked with the scoring burden. His 3 point shot...eeeew, Needs a complete overhaul.

Bud maximized the talent that he had on these Hawks team. Anybody saying otherwise is just butt hurt because he bailed. He wasn't perfect but who is? Just like our players he was a work in progress, learning on the job.

No, he changed it based on the talent or lack thereof. Like anything, talent matters on both offense and defense.

I also think he's better than Kukoc. I said before: Draft BPA. At #3, I'm leaning towards an offensive player. So Bagley. With Pierce as a defense 1st coach I would trust that he can at least make Bagley's defense passable. One of the knocks on our own John Collins was his putrid defense coming out of college. He was a fouling machine early in his NBA career, he got better as the season went along, so there's hope for Bagley. Next offer Denver to take #14 and Faried for our capspace and pick #30. Combine picks #14 and #19 to move up. Sign Nerlens Noel to as our rim protector if Dedmon leaves. No, Turner can't do anything off ball.
