  1. Bud changed up his defense this past season. I'll find the article.
  2. Doncic reminds me of Toni Kukoc.
  3. BPA . I haven't watched any college basketball. I've read up and watched highlights a little on the top guys. They all have strengths and weaknesses. Their isn't a top #1 consensus pick like when LeBron or TD was picked. At pick #3 - there are a few options: I'm leaning towards taking an offensive player and hoping that Pierce can at least make their defense passable with development - so Bagley or Porter (trade down, though the back scares me). Why? If Pierce's focus will be on defense, God knows we'll need somebody who can get an easy bucket beside Dennis (assuming here's here). I want our version of Donovan Mitchell - see what he did for the Jazz? Not interested in Trae Young at #3 at all. Of the defensive bigs, Bamba intrigues me. Not so much his shot blocking but he's decent at defending the PnR on the perimter. I liken him to Rudy Gobert with better offense. I think his offensive game can be developed, he has good shooting mechanics, decent footwork in the post, ok hands. Needs added strength.
  4. No one is saying he will ever be a great athlete even with training, just that there are ways for him to make a measurable improvement on his quickness, agility and explosiveness with the proper training and weight loss. https://blog.haloneuro.com/four-nba-go-to-training-drills-to-accelerate-your-basketball-athleticism-2d382fbcf9c9 http://www.stack.com/a/cross-training-prepared-dallas-mavericks-dirk-nowitzki-for-basketball https://www.mensjournal.com/health-fitness/6-training-tips-and-techniques-pro-athletes-use-stay-fit-forever/ Why the focus so much on him beating his man off the dribble? Important to a degree yes, but the strength of his game is in his passing ability and setting up his teammates in the flow of an offense. Not one on one ISO play. And I'm not ADVOCATING for taking him, just saying.
  5. That's not true. That's all I'm adding to this debate. He's 19. His body needs work.
  6. Forgot this snippet on Prince from Pierce - would like to see how he translates to small ball 4.
  7. All these guys are flawed, have weaknesses etc., some more than others. There is no LeBron in this draft, what you hope for is a guy who exceeds expectations, ala Donovan Mitchell. There was a GM poll (I yhink) and there wasn't a consensus on the #1 pick.
  8. You're getting ahead of yourself a bit here. We have no idea where the pick will fall except in the top 7. So if we end up at #4 and we focus on one guy and another team jumps ahead and take the guy he's focused on - what then. There is no reason for him to say who he's slightly interested in at all.
  9. Coach Pierce (radio interview) on: John Collins - impressed with his atheticism, ability to finish at the rim, very high efficiency from there, now need to add to his game to expand his range, got to 5% of his shots from 3, needs to up that percentage.Taurean Prince: didn't know he was such a prolifuc 3pt shooter, knew of his toughness in college.Dennis Schröder- impressed by his ability to get to the rim with ease. Needs him to work on his 3 point shot and midrange when lane is blocked off. Take those shots with confidence.
  10. On his coaching staff... On Summer league....He will coach the Utah SL but not Las Vegas. He and his Wife are expecting a baby (Aug 1st due date)
  11. Well, we already know that Bud has a helluva of an agent...1. his POBO/Coach gig with the Hawks was for a boatload, 2. He got to high tail it from the Hawks without losing a penny...and now this. Get yours Bud! Bucks though.... Talk.about a conflict of interest... as owner will he fire himself as coach or POBO if he gets that too?
  12. Dennis may WANT to get traded, but he's in no position to DEMAND one.
  13. More than anything. Becky needs a team with a stable from office - owner and GM.
  14. I'll respond after Tuesday draft spot selection.
