I guess there won't be a shooting slump to start the season for Trae. He looks ready to go.

Bally Sports Southeast? I'm watching.
I got some nonsense golf lessons show even though it says Hawks v Cavs. That's odd. I have never had games blacked out or had alternate programming before.

I'm not seeing the game on Bally Sports. WTH???

Cam requesting a trade from the team that picked him in the Lottery was a HUGE mistake. The Hawks actually saw enough potential in him to pick him 10th. They had a vested interest in seeing him succeed and would've given him every opportunity to do so, even if he just ended up being a 3 and D role player off the bench. Of course, he very well could've failed here as well but him requesting the trade accelerated that process. He got terrible advice.

It literally gave me Superbust Marvin chills up my damn spine. I just kept waiting for "I spent my entire summer playing XBox" like Marvin would tell us year after year after year.
I have no issue with him being quiet about what he worked on over the Summer. It's good to keep things close to the vest sometimes. It's just a hunch, but I have a feeling we will all be pleasantly surprised with this team next season. I wouldn't be surprised at all if we sneak up on the league and had a repeat of the post LP '20-'21 season.

Milwaukee just got a little scarier.
But at least we don't have the likes of Jrue Holiday deeing up our guards.
I always felt like Trae cooked Jrue whenever they were matched up one on one. Then again, Jrue got his on the offensive end as well.

Dame to the Bucks doesn't really frighten me for some reason. I thought the Brooklyn Nets were all but guaranteed to come out of the East a season ago. I'm not falling for the hype again. The Bucks lost Holiday who was arguably their best defender on the perimeter and was good on the offensive end as well. They basically replaced him with Dame who is all offense at this point in his career. They're obviously going to win games next season, but them dominating the East is in no way guaranteed.

I don't disagree about Nate not having an offense. I wanted Nate gone 3 games into last season. My point still stands: in the non-Trae minutes I did not get what I needed from DJ based on his skillset.
The turnovers in traffic due to his high dribble wasn't encouraging either. I didn't realize how loose DJM's handle was until last season.

It sounds like we are going to stand pat with this team and any major changes would be next offseason. Team feels Toronto wasted a lot of their time with useless Siakam talks.
I am shocked Capela is still here and is planning on still being here through this season. Again, if a team comes to us with a deal we can't say no to then we will make a trade. But I along with many others here felt a consolidation trade was going to happen the last seasons.
Instead, Kevin was traded for next to nothing. Collins was traded for literally nothing. Team is safely under the luxury tax and we have a TPE that the team has no interest in really using.
Frankly it is a little hard to get excited for the upcoming season knowing these things.
I'm a little disappointed in the $$$ cutting moves as well, but I do look forward to see how OO, JJ, and AJ will look in their expanded roles. I'm also excited to see how the team will look under Quin and his staff. I feel like there's a lot of room for growth with this team as it sits right now.

I disagree here. I’m a Hawks biased fan and everyone prolly already knows that but I’m realistic as well…
Dejounte @JayBirdHawk’s boy
should be ahead of:
Beal
Bane
Maxey
Lavine
I’d even go as far as to argue that the #1 guy on the list isn’t a 2 way player.
#3 Mitchell and Dejounte is close but I prefer DJ due to height and again defense.
#2 Ant
he’s legit, I’d put him above.
I got:
1. Jaylen Brown
2. Ant
3. Dejounte
Who is in your top 3, 5? Who is misplaced at their respective slots? Thoughts?

You know who could run a half-court offense???
These coaches need to get their heads out their butts and stop being so mad that their buddy Nate got fired for being trash. Trae would’ve made this USA team so much better. Instead, the USA team is being beat consistently because their guards can’t do anything. What a joke. Maybe they don’t want the players to play with Trae because that means they would want to come on the Hawks??? Who knows? All I know is that the Team USA coaches clearly don’t want to win.
Trae would definitely help this team, but I also expect better from Brunson after the season he had with the Knicks. In the clips I've seen, he's not really doing much.

Older, post injury Eric Gordon yes. He looks like he's a plug n play type of player and will contribute right away.

JJ fits in seamlessly with the starting unit. I think it's his spot to lose.
