I see several points that need to be considered. *when Marvin gets the back he is usually at the three point line a few inches from being out of bounds. the makes him easier to guard. If the defender is right up on him there is no way he can drive to the basket. *The ball rarely goes into the post and comes back out. * He doesn't move around enough. he is always in the same spot. * he doesn't get the ball in a good spot. *Marvin is to unselfish. You see how Horf tries to get his despite who is calling for the ball. Same with Smooth. There isn't enough shots to go around. I think that what we are going to see is that on many different nights we may have different top scorers. When you aren't scoring regardless of the reason you need to step up in other areas.

We had Randmo and Json Collins sitting on the bench. What was the point of bringing them in if they were just going to sit the bench. Bynum is as soft as they come but he is very long. Damn Woody!!

That going out and playing hard is for teams like Oklahoma and Sacremento. We need to out and win against teams like this. No one is going to remember if we played hard. They are going to remember that we won. Please don't act like you don't understand the point I am trying to make!!!!

DOn't be suprised if Kobe wants JJ to himself. That means Artest on Smoove (they wouldn't waste him on Marvin who is the 4th option). The matchup to try to exploit will be Marvin vs. Odom and Bynum vs. Horford. . Our two best offensive players will be guarded by two of the better defenders in the league. We all know that JJ wants to be considered an elite player in league (he sure as hell wants elite pay). Now I don't want out game plan ball movement turn in the the JJ show because he feels that he has to have a good game against (Kobe, Lebron, Wade ,etc). For instance if tonight against the LAkers, if JJ is cold and Crawford is hot JJ needs to stay his *ss on the bench. We don't need that JJ has to get his crap from Woody. Woody says that he will not manipulate minutes to accomodate anyone so we will see. Our greatest strength is the sum of our players not JJ individually.

Maybe this nba ref lockout thing was orchestrated by the NBA so the guys wouldn't get grilled by the media after every game!! I honestly believe every word. Just look at how Lebron James went 20 games without a foul being called on him. Remember how the bad call cost us the Cleveland game last year. Commentators toalk about how the star players get the benefit of the doubt like its no big deal. Games are supposed to be called right down the middle. Whether its Kobe Bryant or Randolph Morris!!

I hate to sound negative but there is no way in hell he wins defensive player of the year. His man on man defense is horrible. It is so bad that he will need 2 seasons to get it right. Players that play good defensive usually have high BBIQ's. Smith has a long way to go. I don't think that he has the heart or the discipline to do it. I would love to see him do it. Whinning to the ref definitely doesn't help the cause.. Unlike our other rookies in the past he won't be forced out there. He can take his time and develop his game without the pressure. Kindof like how they brought Stuckey along in Detroit. my greatest concern is that we will be more successful with JJ having a smaller role than in the previous year and that means no max contract for JJ . Truthfully that is the only way we can improve. With that being said he has to understand that we wont't break the bank on him when he is just one of the players.

You can't turn the ball over if you rarely get it (Horf). You won't turn it over too much if you get the ball with only 5 seconds left on the shot clock (Marvin) You can't turn the ball over if you are launching uncontested long range jumpers (Smith) You won't turn the ball over if all you do is shoot jumpers with 20 seconds still on the shot clock and the team hasn't set up!!! (Bibby) You won't turn the ball over too much when you are scared of taking it to the hole (JJ) See Hollinger has nothing on me!!

The GM site is too far out. One of the great things about Atlanta is that all of the venues are down town. Crime isn't as bad as people make it out to be. IF they plan on keeping the dome then they need to build an open air stadium as the DOme is till very viable and is one of the larger domes structures on the world. It just opened up in 1992!!! Blank is concerned because the Falcons are at the bottom of the league in terms of value because he doesn't on the stadium. The Cowboy's new stadium adds another billion dollars to their value. They may probably just end up upgrading the Dome for a couple 100 million because it is a very sound structure!!

My link I think that a new Georgia dome would be an awesome idea. I think that it would be stupid to have two massive structures like that down town. I hope that they go with a retractable roof because these fair weather fans will not show up for a game if it is raining. It is kind of a shame because the Ga dome isn't even 20 years old yet.
