I was just wondering what you guys thought about this. I would have to say that having interchangeable players is our greatest strength. Chillz-JJ-marvin-Smoove-Horford (to a certain degree) are pretty much interchangeable among themselves and several positions. We don't lose anything in bringing in Chillz for JJ or sliding Marv to the 4 for Smoove.

ball movement and team defense. Simple as that. When he move the ball around we are really good. It doesn't matter if Joe has a good game or not. I call that Hawk ball folks. It is no magic formula it is plain and simple. But I do feel like we need marvin to take more shots per game we can't afford to let Joe shoot himself out of a bad night. If we make the playoffs they are going to clamp down on Joe. We have to make a decision now that they do we make them suffer. it has to be Marvin because Smoove is just too inconsistent. If its both we would be on fire!!!!!!!!!

We only had 13 assists for the entire game last night. That is never good. Way too much dribbling last night.

I tell folks all the time you got to take it to Lebron as he is a weak defender and you got to stay on his ass on defense. He can't play without the ball. Marv is making him work. Same with Smoove when they switch up. We got to blow these guys out before the whistle starts coming out because you know that it will.

I know that he hasn't seen any playing time lately but have you noticed that when he does get some Woody makes him stand out and chuck 3's. He is a great slasher and good scorer but Woody only uses him to shoot 3's. Is that all he is good for?

You will be a fool to think that Marvin/Horf is going anywhere. You can quote me on that one!!! I would hate to see smooth go but a front court of MArv+Horf+Gasol is way better than Smoove+Horf+Gasol just because MArv is the better perimeter player/shooter. MARV is damn near money out there and is more consistent than Smoove. I think that this trade maybe the result of Marvin's emergence and Horf being better than BK may have expected.. I sure would hate to see Smoove traded but there is no way you keep him over MArvin if you are going to add another low post player because you need a mid range/perimeter shooter for the player to kick it out to who can knock down the shot consistently. If they are trying to clear cap space then Smoove makes sense.

I am currently awaiting my 4th 360. DO you have the one with HDMI? Have you seen 3 red lights on the system? Take it back to the store if you can. WHen was the manufacter date of the system? I would take it back to the store if possible.

That is a point that I constantly try to make about certain players. That is why guys like Stockton and probably nash play until they are 35, 36, 37. I label these kind of players skill players like bird was. JJ and I think Marvin as well game is based on skill not how fast they are or how strong they are. magic was a skill player. If Shaq would have had any skill his decline would not have been so obvious. ZO was a skill player as well.

I was playing a guy online in Nba 2k8 on the 360 and we started talking about rookie impact players. He made the comment that durant was averaging x amount of points and that he was the best scorer. I tried to explain to him that Durant is a good player but that he was given the green light and as long as he gets to take 20-25 shots a game he will always be the leading scorer. Then I tried to explain to him that Al came in and immediately began to help the team and played within the limits of the team. I went even further and stated that ZI believed that if the pulled the reigns in on durant and played team ball their record would be alot better. My concern as I know that it is early is that Al may get snuffed because of hype even if Seattle has the worst record in the league. By the way I beat the hell out of the guy with the Hawks (the only team I play with)!!!

That is the part that I don't understand. The Heat have no one that worth anything other than Wade but yet you hear that they are always involved in trade talks for guys like Artest, etc. Does Riley think some team will let him fleece them because he is Pat Riley??

I don't usually get in this but on draft night Sothron also stated in the chat that we were drafting Horford for the Sixers for Dalambert with other players involved.

the fact that it may alienate your superstars. I mean the lineup of Chillz, Law, Marvin, SHell, and Horford were killing the Raptors. I know that JJ and Smoove are our guys but that lineup was very effective for some reason against the Raptors. Marvin was killing them when the plays were ran through him. I mentioned before that things went downhill when JJ and Smoove came back into the game. I am in no way saying that we don't need them or that we should trade them but for matchup reasons the other lineup was very effective and maybe Woody should have went with it a little longer. JJ and Smoove needed the rest and just maybe Woody needs to think about trimming JJ's minutes back some. We have a deep team and it seems that everyone except SOlO (so far) can contribute in some way. I think that as a coach it us his job to get the victory. Just an observation.
