  1. Let's face it...if the other team doesn't miss, there's very few rebounds to go around.
  2. Al is untouchable. He is a hugely talented team player who is still approaching his prime. Josh, on the other hand, can't be sent out fast enough.
  3. Josh...YOU'RE THE PROBLEM. They intentionally doubled Joe and Al immediately because they know when you get the ball, it stops and takes flight from 20 feet. Quit acting like it is everyone else, and WAKE UP. Learn to play the game, then make some statements. We all know what to expect from you...bad basketball.
  4. Other things you'll notice by breaking down #5: -He never throws an outlet pass. -He throws a TON of one-handed passes. -He throws a TON of cross-court passes. -He does not have basic fundamentals like a chest pass or a bounce pass. -He can't dribble well at all. -His one-on-one defense is not very good. His footwork is poor and he leaves cushions. It is fairly obvious that, to this point, #5 has never had a coach actually teach him anything and the ship may have sailed on him ever learning the basics of the game. You can tell his coaches just threw him out there in HS and it worked because of his athleticism. Throw in Woody and LD...the ULTIMATE enablers, and you have an undisciplined player who buys way too far into his own hype and puts on displays like the one pictured. What he needs is a strong dose of reality. I wish we could ship him off to a summer basketball camp where they make you work on defense, free throws, passing, etc. More than anything, he absolutely needs someone to tell him when he is doing something wrong. Poor Kirk...trying to play smart...he's is so far in over his head on this team.
  5. Yeah. Like every other athlete in high school. I'd much rather get a look at the SAT scores personally. And I am not making an indictment on his academics. I said "assuming" because I have no idea what his motivation to skip college was.
  6. Seven years and not a lick of basketball acumen. Let's face it...no coach has stood up to him. He feels he can get by on athletic talent alone. I mean JUST ONCE could he throw a two handed pass? Does he even know what an outlet pass is? He lacks basic fundamentals and feel for the game. Two years of college would have done him wonders. Assuming he could get into one.
  7. If that play was designed for Josh to dribble into trouble, leave his feet and make a desperation cross-court pass...well then the coach is to blame. I did notice at times last night the KH was doing an excellent job of moving without the ball, but Josh, Joe and Jamal appear to not be able to move the ball effectively. Especially out of double teams. They will need to be more aware that KH is cutting and getting to open spots, which I assume they aren't used to yet.
  8. Anything to keep JC from playing the point. He is very much not a point guard.
  9. Shareef was the All-Timer on this list. Great numbers, no wins.
  10. Ladies and gentlemen, the bar for absurdity has been impossibly raised to dizzying heights.
  11. The Nique Hawks never got past the second round because they ran into a loaded Celtics team. They stood toe to toe with them and barely lost. They win that game 7 and they head to the Finals. That 87-88 team was awesome.
  12. Money issues aside, Harris is the best option for this team.
  13. We get Thabeet and I will laugh hysterically.
  14. Wasn't there someone on here who wanted us to draft Splitter, Thabeet and Yi? Marvin is Kevin Durant compared to those picks.
  15. Played well against the Raptors and Clippers? Against the Raptors, he muscled his way to a pile of jumpers. He shot ZERO free throws and had one offensive rebound. Against the Clips he had 10 points, again no free throws and was 5-13 from the field. He has developed an allergy to paint and or/contact.
  16. Remember the Ricky Davis signing with the Heat? People here thought that was putting them over the top. Then they had the worst season in team history.
  17. Yay for him. Shame he doesn't play inside anymore because he could be shooting 10 FTs a game. He doesn't even have one attempt in his past two games. And he is a POWER Forward.
  18. According to this board the Hawks get lucky 50+ times a season.
  19. Josh shoots worse from the field than Curry while Curry scores and shoots way more. How is that even possible? Oh yeah, Josh is undisciplined and has no interest in playing a team game. Curry walks in an makes our team flow much better. It turns Joe and Horford into monsters (especially Horf). Josh's blocks are down below 2 per game this season and even when he does get blocks, most go out of bounds back to the other team. His offensive rebounds are down by 1 whole board this season. His turnovers are creeping back up. Not only has he peaked, he has mentally checked out on the team. He has done some good things, but waiting for him to break through his own glass ceiling is futile. Don't let a couple dunks fool you. He is not playing a team game out there and his effort is VERY questionable at times. I used to love his high-wire act when this team was up and coming, but he never seems to be buying into the system. Getting Curry would not only add more punch offensively, but we would also get a player who is not even scratching his prime yet. That would be fantastic.
  20. Teague needs a defined role. I can hear his confidence shaking.
  21. That's just what Josh needs...more yes men. I am also glad to read that his motivation is making an All-Star team. That's about where I figured his mind was at anyways.
  22. Horford is our best player. At the very least he needs to be there. Joe will probably get a nod as well. Josh doesn't deserve it.
