  1. I always stay in Dunwoody and have zero issues getting to Philips or the GA Dome. I take MARTA. In fact, I was amazed how easy it really was.
  2. Beasley got a whopping 23 minutes. They refuse to play him in any crunch time. He's got problems. Good news is that I think Monday's game was a wake-up call for the Hawks. We're deeper and flat-out better than Miami.
  3. Teague needs to hit his groove. He'll get there. In the meantime, his defense has been really nice on the ball.
  4. How can anyone dislike Al Horford? He brings a lot of toughness and energy to the team. He's a fantastic teammate and really enjoys playing. He's been collecting a ton of rebounds this year and is coming around offensively. His little running hook and short turn-around jumper are falling more often. His FT shooting would be nicer at about 75% instead of 71. That's about the only problem I have. His 2 blocks a game are a nice addition.
  5. DirecTV made two awesome improvements to the NBA Package this year: 1. Assuming both feeds are available, you can select either the home or away TV feed. Both aren't always in HD, though. There's been three times this year I had to skip Bob's hair and go with the opposing feed to have HD. Still the option is great. 2. In the past, the feed would start right at the start time and end almost as soon as the final buzzer went off. This year, they cut to the feeds early and they keep them open until all the post-game stuff is wrapped up. I actually got to watch Woody's presser last night. Do not tell my employer (Comcast) I cam in there and said this. :hush:
  6. Gorman/Heinsohn is the WORST. Tommy is a bitter old man and is impossible to listen to. Also, try listening to the Washington guys once or twice. Oh my god are they homers. Easy to listen to: Cleveland and Golden State's guys.

OK. My joke sucked. I get it! Time to drown my sorrows in beer. :beer11:
  8. I'll agree with that. Even the crowd seemed nervous and out of it. The Hawks never gave them a chance to get going.

Gotcha. Thought maybe our record was adjusted by one of our negative nellies. "NBA Scores provided by: Hotlanta. Disclaimer: records adjusted to what he thinks we should be."

Please direct your attention to the score banner at the top of the page. Ladies and gentlemen, I present to you, your 2-6 Hawks!
  11. Bibby is one of those players who leads and does a lot of little things that don't always show up in a box score. He's got a TON of basketball sense and really has a knack for knowing placement. His vision is very good and he's been a fantastic teammate. A lot of that goes farther than 10+ assists in a game. I like the way Bibby plays. Too many people looking for highlights, but he is a quiet killer for us.
  12. What in the blue hell are you talking about? The Hawks controlled this game beautifully. No panic, no huge let-downs. We dominated in the paint. We played good defense. I'll take a calm, confident win over "intensity" any day. Thge maturity of the team was outstanding.
  13. Josh has been something almost completely different this year. He LOOKS like he belongs inside. Nice touch, banging for boards. Horford has been a machine and it looks like he may have learned to be smarter with his fouls. Both are doing FANTASTIC so far.
  14. Fire up that excuse machine...Chris Paul is out 1-2 weeks with an ankle sprain.
  15. Some day we will see this: P. Pierce - DNP (Yeast Infection)
  16. And by the way, we beat the Celts with NO EXCUSES.
  17. Yeah right. Leaves the floor so he can make some prima donna return. He's as bad as Wade. GREAT WIN!!!
  18. I am in shock and completely orgasmic right now. This was a great win. We didn't fold, we played tough and we took it to the Celts on their floor. Wow. Just wow.
  19. We have more bench, youth and speed, but I am not really sure it will be utilized properly. Boston is at home and has more talent. I know it makes me a bad fan, but I am not expecting a whole lot out of tonight's game. I can take a road loss to a Finals contender, so I won't cover my head and panic if we get beat by 20 (like the Suns last night). What I will do is take a lot of satisfaction knowing we have an awesome home stand coming up. 4 winnable games. I can take one loss if we win the next 3-4 games.
  20. Man I hate the Celts. They always go after Horford and Smith early and depend on the calls. If the fouls add up, we need to just go totally small and run the old men out of the place. Or I could dream.
  21. About 10 of that was garbage time. Not worried. We have showed a lot this year. Games like last night used to be losses. That says a lot about our team so far.
  22. Joe's inability to pass out of double teams is starting to really become a concern.
  23. And hopefully not forgetting what's really important. Selfless team basketball. Making players around you better.
