This is rather odd to say. He made the rookies go through a little hazing (which goes on in every sport on every team) and did some funny things to keep the team in a fun mindset. Then after we let him go a second time, he had nothing but nice things to say about the team. Not sure why this bashing is in order.

I'm not gonna lie, but this game was the referee's game. Yes, Paul Pierce made a great shot, but he had WAY to many bail out calls and ticky-tack fouls that gave them easy points.

It feels like they didn't even make any shots the entire 4th quarter until late in the game...

Maurice Evans really impressed me last night. He was all over the floor hustling and making 110% effort. He is faster and more athletic than Childress. I wasn't expecting a world beater, but he exceeded what I had hoped. I think we got a great pickup in Evans.

I totally missed that news. Wondered why I hadn't heard anything about him.

I gotta disagree with you. Simmons simply doesn't follow Atlanta sports teams closely. He formed an opinion of Smith 2 years ago when he had a few incidents and won't let it go. Can Josh pout and get emotional? Sure. But is he anything approaching, say, Rasheed Wallace when he was in Portland or even Kobe a couple of seasons ago? Not at all. I can't think of a time in his career when I thought Smith was dogging it on the court, either. This is some kind of fantasy opinion that Simmons has cooked up in his head.

Point taken, but I have seen on many occasions where Smith has been pulled and pouted, gone back in and just stood at the three-point line. Keep in mind, I love Josh, but he can get too pouty and throw in the towel. Now, will this happen this year? Remains to be seen. When he does that stupid mouth thing, he is pouting. I wish I still had the games on DVR to show what I mean, but we have seen it. I will wait on judgment this year until it happens...if it does. He was a beast tonight, though. Hopefully the fire is lit.

Thank you. I was wondering what game they were watching. Total rebounds were 53-45. We were KILLING them on the boards early.

The additions of Mo Evans and Flip Murray will do wonders. Maurice Evans is a hustle MACHINE. He is exactly what this team needed. If Smith can give an effort like that every night (doubtful), we will be rolling.

It is great for the Falcons, but for bigger name teams who get a lot of National games, it gets less and less worth it. I have it to see the Falcs, but a few years ago when they had 5 national games (I think), that makes it 11 games for $249+ HD pack, etc. It gets pricey, but I LOVE it.

Not to mention 75+ Knicks games.

And any other game of interest. It is almost every game. Lots of bang for the buck. I have had NBA and NFL for years.
