I played a pick-up game with Marvin in the gym at UNC this summer. We really worked on his overall game.

Screw Zaza...give your sister my number.

Shawn might have been the laziest dude ever. My god, after the strike he got so fat from not lifting a finger. Pretty much all he did was knock up groupies.

Happy to be in Greece.
Atlanta dragged their feet.
Wants to win a Euro championship.
Atlanta turned down deals he thought were good.
Tony and Mike can stay on his Greek island.
Thanks for having him.

The best American player to play in Greece??
Dominique, Tony. Do your homework.

He sounds really nervous. Kind of stammering a bit.

Sekou has been getting sloppy lately it seems.

How is that? Smith has proven to be one of the hardest workers in the NBA the past four seasons. We read at least 4 articles every off-season speaking about how hard a worker he is. He obviously cares about basketball with all the emotion he shows on the court. I remember JJ in the 06 off-season PREDICTED Smith would have a breakout year, that summer he was saying Smith's just been working so hard. Last summer in 07 he worked with two hall of famers in Houston.
I have seen Josh quit on the floor when things don't go his way. I recall one game where he took a bad shot or something, Woodson pulled him, he sat on the bench and pouted. He then got back in and decided to just hang out at the three point line and do that stupid thing with his lips because he was upset. It has happened more than once. For every "hard work off the court" article, I watch a game that shows him being a whiny brat.
I think Josh has a lot of potential to get paid and then take it easy. I hope I am wrong, but I have seen evidence against it.
-
The point of getting a huge contract is not having to try hard afterwards.
And with Josh, that is a real possibility.

Bingo. I don't trust ASG any further than I can throw them.
Well, with your bad knee, Ed, you shouldn't be throwing anyone.

Quote:Seriously...somebody must have got seriously wronged and put some powerful mojo on us. How many odd/bad luck scenarios can you list for the city of Atlanta?Bret Farve...Michael Vick...The ownership fiascos...The entirety of the Atlanta Braves...DerMarr Johnson...The Atlanta Flames...Dr. J......and many more!LoL, we're cursed man. Now add Chill and his history making deal to the list.

I remember last year when the Heat were better than us for getting Ricky Davis, an Charlie V was better than 4 of our starters. Oh, and then the Knicks were better for getting Randolph.

Quote:Quote:As I said ealier . . . . . the next move by the ASG is gonna be very critical. No time to give Chill or Smoove some half-arse plan.
Don't get your hopes up.
I can tell you how it will go.
We will renounce Chillz.
We will offer Smoove 5 years 60 million.
We will sign Luke Jackson and maybe Kwame.
We will miss the playoffs
We will sign Marvin to 5 years 70 Million and say "we got our man".
And for the next 5 years, marvin will amass 60 three point attempts total... and he will hit 8 of them!
You seriously need therapy.

Nice pass by Law on that break.

Quote:Yeah something is wrong with Smooth. It's spelled Smoove.
Actually it is spelled "Smith".
And yes, there is something wrong...attitude issues, heart issues (mental, not physical). Not worth the big money right now.
Best scenario: He gets no offers and has to sign back with us for a more modest amount. He gets a chip on his shoulder and plays like a mad man.
Worst scenario: We end up having to pay him big bucks to match a deal and he promptly mails in the next few years.
Smith is a scary situation. That uneven bean on his shoulders makes him an absolute question mark.

My favorite were all the trades that were proposed on this board for Camby...they wanted to sell the farm to get him. All it took was a 2nd rounder.

Quote:Quote:I have no idea how credible Alan Hahn or Newsday are, but nonetheless:NewsdayQuote:The Knicks, with an eye on being in the same position by 2010, would not accept contracts that go beyond that year in return for Randolph, who averaged 17.6 points and 10.3 rebounds last season. He was acquired from Portland by Isiah Thomas on draft night in 2007 for Steve Francis and Channing Frye.It is believed that Walsh was hoping to pry Eric Gordon, the seventh overall pick in the NBA draft, as part of the deal. That move seems unlikely, but it is expected that Walsh will talk again with the Clippers, who also are participating in the NBA Summer League here. The source said Walsh has been "very active" in trade discussions and is "looking at these types of transactions constantly.
This makes a lot of sense to me. The Clippers need a veteran post scorer, not a 22 y.o. player who *might* become a post scorer.
I can see L.A. offering Tim Thomas for Randolph, and that being rejected. And then I can see the Knicks countering with Eric Gordon, and that being rejected. That leaves A LOT of middle ground, though.
I would expect the Clippers will look at Odom, Marion, and Wallace, too.
If Randolph goes to the Clipps, he will be an allstar. Possible an MVP candidate.
Snach Randolph? Lazy, uninspired, fat Randolph? Please pass the kind bud because I want a hit of it. He is a newer version of Derrick Coleman...that's not a compliment.

You can't put a cap on his threes. That's asinine. What if he is in ten spots where he has to heave at the end of the shot or game clock? You rather him just hold the ball because he might lose money?

Yao much?

That has nothing to do with racism. Anybody who cant defend ATHELTIC NBA players is a liability in the NBA. And Yao was (and is) often a LIABILITY to Houston for that very reason.
Hmm? Not racism? Why use "chinese" and "black" if you meant "unathletic" and "athletic" (even though Yi is very athletic, just not adjusted to the NBA physicality)? Hard to see past the racism.
W
LOL. Im mixed (white and black). My best friend is Chinese and my girlfriend is Japanese. Don't talk to me about racism. Honestly, I dont see why you spend so much time trying to misconstrue people's posts to "pwn" them. Is it really that satisfying? I come here to talk Hawks. You come here to win arguments (and occasionally obsess about Marvin William's personal life that you KNOW absolutely nothing about).

Ka-pow! atlien officially rules.

I wonder which Clips he is in front of? If he tries to dribble around them or shoot over them, they will probably pull any offer.

The question: What are Horford and Marvin doing over the summer?
The correct answer: Who gives a [censored]?
Where Have You Seen Nba Players?
