Alright alright I'll take down the Yankees and Dolphins stuff. I guess you guys are still bitter about 1996 Posted Image

Im not even a Braves fan Im a Phillies fan. The Dolphin stuff doesnt bother me. The Yankees stuff ugggh, vomit city. I was just kidding about taking it down though.

I was at the Phillies/Mets game yesterday (yes, all of it...stupid 2.5 hour rain delay). Some dude was walking around with a Joe Carter Blue Jays jersey on. I thought that took balls.

By the way, this thread is pointless and may have given me AIDS. Test results pending.

  2. After the Braves/Phillies game, the opener to Sportsnite on Comcast Philly was a big montage of Josh dunking, followed by the lead-in, and interviews with JS. It was THE story, even over the Phils win. I was a little shocked by that. Unfortunately I was at a bar and couldn't hear a thing.

All I'm saying is that if your going to spend 13 million a year you should aim higher than Josh Smith. What are the Hawks going to do without him, lose games? Oh wait....

I would rather spend 13 million on Josh Smith than lose him and have nothing but a 3 million salary slot to replace him. All we have to do is offer a 6 year 66 million dollar salary. Josh Smith doesn't want to live in Philly, no one wants to live in Philly.

I am considering moving to Philly. Philly is great!

Just move on over here to Cherry Hill NJ.......

Yeah...but then i'd be from Jersey. Ewwww.

But he'll make it up in the long run. He got better and matured and is more ready. Instead of sitting on the bench. He should be around for years.

Hibbert got better? In this draft last year, he would have been the #1 pick easily. He KILLED himself by being worse. Coming back cost him millions.

I am not saying that D.J. Augustin isn't a good player, but the Bobcats also need help in the frontcourt. They could have had a possible franchise center in Brook Lopez but let him fall to the Nets. I fell that they could have gotten someone later in the draft or a vet in freeagency to be Felton's backup. Brook Lopez would have been an upgrade over Nazr Mohammed and would have solidified the starting lineup. There starting lineup could have been Felton,Richardson,Wallace,Okafor & Lopez.

The fact that you have "franchise center" and "Brook Lopez" in the same sentence means you know nothing about NBA basketball.

A Williams/Redd/Jefferson combo doesn't scare me at all. That team didn't play any D last year and Jefferson won't help much in that regard. All this means is that they will go inside to Bogut even less. As for NJ, if Yi becomes anything of signifcance, it won't be next year. I think we stay ahead of both of these teams next year if we resign the Joshes.

A-effin-men. The Bucks will have to score 130 a game to even stay competitive.

BTW: Yi is a bust. People here who wanted him should at least come out and take their medicine.

I'd much rather get Ron Artest for less.

don't you see what artest can potentially do to a fanchise, he's got the background. he was the ring leader of one of the most infamous moments in live television history.

The real maniac in all that was Stephen Jackson. Hands down.

    Boston sucks away from Boston.

We can't build a team based on that series. We have to work to get better.

IT's official that HCA means something in the NBA.

Teams in the 2nd round have almost been perfect at home.

If you are trying to take away from the Hawks accomplishment, then you are kidding yourself. If we stunk, we would have gotten swept live Denver or lost in 5 like Phoenix

BTW, Cleveland won ONE game. We won THREE.

You were just looking for something to take away from us.

But no matter how you spin it we have one of the most promising young rosters in the league.

I'm not taking away from the Hawks. I'm making it known that the Celtics road team is not as good as the Celtics home team. We played well, but let's admit the fact, in 2 of the 3 home games, we can see places where the Celtics beat them selves. IN all three cases, we played from behind. I would have loved to see us steal one in Boston, that would have meant much more. However, now, we have to consider that maybe they're just a bad road team.

So...you're belittling the Hawks' great first round. That is "taking away from the Hawks". This board kills me. I get the impression that if we won a title, the next year we'd say it was bogus because the team we beat lost to the Clippers. People here need to lighten up. We won some playoff games against the best team in the NBA. Enjoy it. Sheesh.

  10. 1. They won 66 games in the season...I am no Mathlete but I assume that means they won away from home.

    2. anyone who thought Boston had a 'dream team' was kidding themselves. Allen, Pierce, and Garnett have all been mentally outmatched throughout their careers. I am going to enjoy watching a tough team kill them.

    3. Who said we were building a team on the series? It was good for the kids, but our GM quit right after and the coach may be next...stay tuned.

    4. I knew once Boston lost, I would see a thread exactly like this in here. The team did a good job. Don't act like it is tarnished because the Cavs won a home game.

Billy King isnt the best but I think he is better than Knight though..i'd take it i guess. He did a decent job with the Sixers but does have a tendency to overpay players. but he will fire coaches who dont do their job though..lets see what happens

So we can go from full-blown AIDS to HIV. An improvement, but they both still are nothing you want.
