Quote:No Acie, No Smoove = loss of offensive and defensive continuity...(period).We played well considering.Take the 2nd best player and the PG away from any team and will they win?
I have to agree here.

I am not ready to label Shelden a total bust yet, but if he doesn't show something by mid next year, I will drink the kool aid.
I just think we could use him as a big enforcing goon. On the bright side, Horford has the makings of a total stud and makes up for it. Had we not picked Shelden, we might not have gotten Law and Horf.

I would ask in, but I am always positive.

Keep getting close and letting the Wiz open it back up. Not cool.

Quote:by half time more people will be there...gotta get out of church first.
What church do they go to? 2pm???

Quote:Phillips looks rather empty.
You should see the crowd at the Panthers/Falcs game.
During NFL, it is tough to get people to go to afternoon games.

Only down 3 at the end of the 1st...for the way we played, I will take it. We are in good position to take over in the 2nd Q.

I LOVE Lue's new cut. He looked stupid with rows.

I am not gay, but I could kiss you right now.

Anyone have a link to watch on nba.com or anything?

Apparently I am in the blackout zone for this one. Fantastic.

Quote:what i thought was silly was the boston announcers basically saying that lue was a good defender...
He's like a college kid...lots of movement, no real results. He LOOKS like he is a good defender because he sways his arms around and makes lots of motions, but when a guy wants to, he can go right by.

Quote:we gotta cool down. there is no reason for josh to get T'ed up at a time like this.
That's what he does. Loses his cool.

Quote:...but should long-distance Hawks' fans like myself expect there to be a "die hard" fan discount on a game this year?
Long distance? You got nothin' on me, buddy.

Edit: I posted way old info. Thanks, Google.

Quote:Did I read it right? You want to pay CWebb 9.3 million for 2 years?? Man, that is crazy.
Holy cow, I missed that part...no thanks at that price.

Quote:I think we're a much better home team than anybody could have guessed.I'm still disappointed by the way we lost to the Nets. I think it was some mismanagement... and I like the strong showing against the Piston but in the Woody era, we've always played the Pistons Strong.I think this Boston game and the Washington game will be really important indicators of how good we really are.I'm tired of the Asterisk by our wins:Beat Dallas * Josh Howard not playing.Beat Phoenix* Amare Stoudamire not playing.Let's whip somebody's ass!
We're doing it without our starting (well, was starting) center and best defensive guard. In pro sports there are no asterisks. I am sure nobody complained that we were without JJ last year.
Bulls vs Suns in the Finals = asterisk because the Suns played without Cedric Ceballos.

While I do think Webber could help off the bench for a few (very few) minutes per game, I also think that putting in his slow, jump shooting ways is not exactly what we are trying to do with this young team.

It's "Marvin's Summer", part 2.
We all know how that has turned out so far.

Quote:It's definately a measuring stick in a sense that it is certainly a game we SHOULD win. If we want to be over .500 these are the games we should take care of.
Yeah and I watched the Sixer/Bobcat game last night. They are the opposite of good. We are also better than Philly by a pretty good margin.
Now, whether we actually beat them remains to be seen.

Quote:Quote:However, we have more depth!
I church league basketball team has more depth than the Celtics, but of course, having 3 future hall of famers on your team helps mask that.
3? Ray Allen is not going to the HOF. Pierce would be borderline at this point.

I think Zaza should come off the bench after tonight. If Al is going to continue rebounding like he is, Zaza would make a great offensive and rebounding weapon off the bench. Imagine what he could have done off the bench tonight with that nougat middle the Suns had. He and Chillz together coming in would be great for us.
Go Al, go!

We were down 2 starters. No worries. We played well considering.
