    Smith blocked at least 2 shots that led to turnovers last night. He blocked Maxiell on a dunk once, but you can't control where a blocked dunk will go. I remember one time he blocked Hamilton straight back, then jumped up and got it. I haven't seen him swatting in the seats so far this year.

    Not you. Know nothing, extremely critical, Sports Illustrated scouts were yapping about how Smoove sends all blocks to the stands. We had a big thread about that last week. I was just adding to your response to Duffman.

    I have noticed he has been doing better at this, I just hope it stays that way...that was one of my big gripes for him, even though it isn't all that big of one.

    And, I haven't read an SI in over 5 years. headbang.gif

    Now, their capable of playing much better defense than they have played so far. It's only 2 games but the defense has been as bad as Golden States.

    I also noticed that Nash must be attacked. Nash simply cannot play defense at all. His lateral movement, while never great, is gone now totally. Nash is a huge liability on defense and I think that teams are going to start making the Suns pay by exposing Nash. When your PG allows his man in your paint time after time the defense gets broken down.

    I thought PHX might be on a mission this year and would possibly win it all. Adding Hill did nothing for their defense and I am no longer favoring the Suns until they play better defense. And with Nash making T-Lue look like a lock down defender, the Suns can't win the title.

    I was thinking about this...if they put Nash on Law at any point in the game, he will be able to do anything he wants in the game. Nash is an abysmal defender, and Law is far too quick for him.

    About 3:45 into the podcast Chuck says the Hawks are his sleeper team, and that he likes Acie Law IV.

    I got to meet Charles (at a nice resaurant in Philly). He did a shot with me and a few of my buddies. He mentioned this to me as well. He said he thought the Hawks did the right thing in the draft and that they have good young players that can out-run and out-hustle almost anyone in the East. Then my buddy asked him about the Knicks and he said "Man, they terrible". We all had a good laugh.

    Yeah...that was the strike year 1999. We beat Detroit then got killed by the Knicks. I love how these guys never do any homework.

    I think you're getting way too worked up. Better that he finds his groove by putting up too many J's right now then once the season starts.

    Seriously. Good shooters keep shooting. Plus, he is of a lot of value to us on the defensive end. Geez...an off night during preseason and people lose their heads.
