  1. That whole thing was pretty funny. I loved the Salim line.
  2. As much as people want to slurp him on this board, it will never happen. He isn't Dominique, and most likely won't be.
  3. Quote: I think that game was one of the reasons that baseball made so many changes to the umpiring. Gregg was horrible in that game. Hence, baseball umps are watched more closely than other officials. Plus, umps can really dictate a game in baseball more than any other game. Their calls affect nearly every pitch. Yeah, notice how they ditched the centerfield and overhead camera angles for most games? The centerfield angle was so incredibly good, but it gave away too many bad calls.
  4. Quote: Baseball........Umpire Eric Gregg Anyone remember about 10 years ago, at the 1997 NLCS between the Braves and the Marlins? He gave Levon Hernadez the biggest strikezone ever. Anything between the batter and the dugout was called a strike. I remember that like it was yesterday. The strike to win that series was about 2 feet off the plate. I was so pissed.
  5. An interesting post from 2004 regarding Phil Jackson's disgust with the refs... Edit: also, Shaq called the outcome "predetermined". Interesting
  6. Great. An NBA ref with mob ties appears to have been calling games to change the outcome. This will be really bad pub for our beloved league. The Fix Is In
  7. Quote: Shelden 3-10 FG 3-8 FT Off night shooting, but still had 9 pts and 14 boards. Shelden has been rebounding very well.
  8. Quote: Quote: Shelly and Al both got thoroughly outplayed by Millsap. Two top 5 picks, whose best position is the same as our second best player, get outplayed by a second rounder. Not exactly encouraging but then Al was hobbled. Conversely, who was guarding Shelden and allowing him to dominate the boards?
  9. Law penetrates and dishes to Horford for an easy 2! Law and 1 from 12? He is heating up. I love hearing about his abilities to do it all it seems.
  10. Do you really think these through, or do you just type the word "Marvin Williams" and then shake a magic 8-ball and fill in the rest?
  11. Morlon Wiley. I recall him starting. How about Ennis Whatley? I am pretty sure he started some games as well.
  12. Wait, I don't see anything about Vick in this article. I thought it was about dog fighting.
  13. The actual clips were put together well. My only problem is the song, but that being said, it is FAR better than the usual crunk garbage that is attached to those.
  14. Quote: Bastard commies. Better dead than red!
  15. Quote: Sounds great. Horford played exactly as advertised. Shocking, I know! Would have liked to see him dominate the boards a little more, but overall that's a very impressive debut. I'm very happy. I like that Law was looking to set his teammates up. It sounds like he might have had to force a few shots up to beat the buzzer? Anyway, I'm not concerned about his shooting. Every shooter has games where his shot doesn't fall, even in SL. It'll come to him. Great way to look at it. I don't put a whole lot of stock in SL, but this was nice to see compared to the past years.
  16. Anybody else absolutely LOVE these announcers?
  17. Quote: Horford runs the length of the court for the lay up. LAYUP? He is too soft! What a waste of a pick! Ha ha...just kidding. I loved our draft big time.
  18. Quote: was one of the worst top 10 picks in NBA Draft history. Everyone knew he would suck in the league, yet the Raptors still badly reached for him. That's what an great NCAA Tourney can do. We sound good so far. Wonder how good Jackson is? I don't remember seeing him play.
  19. Thanks for the links, everyone. Should be fun. Anyone chatting?
  20. Quote: He is a good player maybe even a borderline all star but not this kind of money. One all star appearance, 2 points. Can't carry a team to the playoffs. Does not defend. Gets hurt. This contract is a freak show. Not only that, he will be pretty much un-tradeable. Bravo, Orlando...bravo.
  21. $126 million for Lewis is a complete joke.
  22. If the Knicks would have put their 'chair squad' on the floor he would have been dominant.
  23. Quote: Quote: http://www.realgm.com/src_wiretap_archives..._warrior_debut/ Bellini gets 37 in his debut. IMpressive. W ...gotten a winner. Nobody can appreciate Bellini's SL game and his seeming value as a draft pick because I point it out?!? What sorry agendas and bad attitudes we have, people. I legitimately thought it was an impressive opening night SL showing for a foreign Sg. W Agendas? Said the pot to the kettle.
  24. Quote: For some reason my laptop won't access Hawksquawk, but my Apple and Desktop will...any clues? Clear your cookies and try again. I actually had to clear my cookies and all temp internet files.
  25. That's a trade we want to happen. They will be awful. Lee is the one guy they have that wants to play hard.
