  1. Inconsistent elevation on the jumper and loose feet (meaning he's planting them different distance apart and not jumping with consistent equal pressure). Relying on athleticism over mechanics. And sorry if I've missed anything else. I've been off board for a while.
  2. Thanks buddy! You know earning your approval is something I strive for.
  3. To be fair, if Gallinari, Rondo and Dunn are healthy thru the first 7 games....we're either 6-1 or even 7-0. We were in all 3 games with a chance to win. Some of this is just maturing and learning to play together. So many plays this year (especially from BB) have showed a lack of unity on the floor. Way too many hands are low or not ready for a pass turnovers. Lots of slow react in the lane turnovers.
  4. Cam is a better ball handler and better disruptor of passing lanes. Those are very obvious skills. Its why people prefer him. I'm not saying its right, but that is why. I believe in 3 years, Cam is the better all around player but I said it before last season started, "Cam will take 2-3 years to develop and start showing his potential". Hunter was farther along when we drafted him.
  5. I firmly believe if Dunn is available 2 days ago, we beat the Nets. Get well soon.
  6. Let me take a second and respond to Steve Nash. 1. It is 100% a basketball play. Basketball is as much about chess as it is about athleticism (see Kevin McHale). The 2-3 hip attached fouls per game gives Trae room to operate. It is no different than the 30 ft 3. He makes them enough that it forces the defense to pick him up out there, creating space for others to operate. 2. It is very much legal. The offensive player has the right to any space not occupied by other player. They are free to do whatever they want within that space as long as it doesn't violate any other rules. Stopping and shooting from any angle, any way is permitted. A defensive player violating that space, from any angle, any method is a foul. Nash is just angry he didn't figure it out when he played.
  7. I think people misconstrued what I was saying. I'm not looking at his shooting. I'm looking at times he's bumping into people because he isn't picking up the defensive scheme, leaving his man open, slow to switch. Late diving in for rebounds because he doesn't realize our shots are going up or steps in the way of a drive. Personally, I think this is just unfamiliarity with Trae, Cam, Hunter but he still seems surprised when shots go up or when Cam catches a pass at the 3 point line and immediately drives. One of Cam's travels was a stutter because Bogi cut the lane Cam was going to. It's going to take time for him to figure out our offensive flow but some times the game is looking too fast for him. I think this is why LP backed off of him starting. He saw there was a big lack of chemistry. Positive note, Bogi's best moments have been with Huerter on the floor. Huerter plays a much smoother, deliberate game and this seems to suit Bogi well. He seems to move off ball better with Huerter. Lastly, watch tonight. Bogi spends a lot of time watching and not enough time moving to get open. Maybe a few years of Kyle Korver spoiled me, but I want to see my snipers running around screens to catch and shoot at the top of the three point line. Bogi needs to be more active.
  8. Bogi's....I haven't been thrilled with what I've seen from him so far. He's been really late to his spots and can't be trusted on defense. If it keeps up, it would make him hard to move. Everyone, even Snell is movable at this point.
  9. 3 games in...Hawks are number 1 in Points scored - 124.7 Free Throws Attempted - 33 Free Throws Made - 28.3 Free Throw %. - 85.9 3 PT made per game 15.7 The Hawks are 2nd in Opponent 3 PT % - 28.6, Opponent FG% - 41.7 Points differential - 12.7 Hawks rank 3rd in 3pt% - 41.6% The most amazing stat to me is they are nowhere near the top in team assists at -12th What's keeping us from floor stomping everyone...we are 7th from the bottom in turnovers 16.3 and 4th from the bottom in causing turnovers 11.
  10. This list is why I love sports. Both Boston and Milwaukee have 2 losses already, Brooklyn 1 and meanwhile, numbers 7,8,9,11 from this list are all undefeated. Nobody just hands you anything. You still have to go out, play the games and earn it.
  11. https://www.yahoo.com/entertainment/trae-young-calls-grayson-allen-222539617.html Glad I'm not the only one that's noticed it. What Grayson does is dangerous.
  12. I need a mod to put a bot on my account. I may say some outrageous things this year. I'm starting to feel very full of myself. Serious note. A good bit of the above is what we are seeing in the 1st two games and I couldn't be happier. Loving my Hawks this year. The defensive effort out of Trae, Huerter, Cam and Hunter has been a serious bump this year and it makes all the difference. Hunter's block last night with attitude gave me flutters like 13 year old girl at a boy band concert. It wasn't the block. It was the confidence and attitude. Hunter's good block that was called a foul. I think that was just ref habit. He knew he was wrong right after seeing Hunter's response. That was a "don't let me end up on Sports Center look from the official".
  13. Man our defense is getting pesky.
  14. at the end of the day either Dallas or the Lakers will have started the season 0-2 while the Hawks remain undefeated. and you guys thought Christmas magic wasn't real...
  15. Feeling a bit more confident in this thread after 1 game. Only 1 game but feeling more confident.

    Wow!

I've said a lot of things on this board....but nothing I am more proud of than this post and the ones that followed.
  18. Just applauding the funny...not necessarily the content.
  19. I went low on my point differential prediction because I still see a number of blowouts this year that will lower our differential. I see us winning lots of close games, losing some close games and losing a few pretty big throwing off the average.
  20. 1st bad game by Gallo and it was worse than just bad.
