  1. The AIB cards go on sale tomorrow. Get to MicroCenter 2 hours before they open and get in line. You'll get one. Also, Best Buy online tomorrow...no idea what time. Personally, I'd roll over for the upcoming Asus AIO 6800 xt. Yes that's a liquid cooled 6800 xt for about $850.
  2. I'm a 23 year IT guy. Microcenter fears me. But I spread it out getting deals this time around. Priced it on Part Picker for about 3k with windows and office. We're gonna come in closer to $2k...I'm having a Hawks like offseason. Getting deals everywhere.
  3. going red on black build. Will look almost exactly like this one when done. https://images.app.goo.gl/tNXK4zpP9NkTZ1ZTA

  5. and while you guys salivate over this possibility, I'm sitting here pissed I can't find a video card for my son's new pc. #Priorities!!!
  6. The depth feels like it will matter more this year than others with the odd layoffs, bubble season. Guessing more teams will see injuries, covid isolations, etc.
  7. 2020-21 Cap Holds Cap holds represent "placeholders" for pending free agents, unsigned draft picks, offer sheets, etc... Since the Hawks are currently under the cap, all of these figures are included in their Total Cap Figure. PLAYER (1) AGE POS. CAP FIGURE Onyeka Okongwu 19 PF $5,813,640 Incomplete Roster Charge (1 spots) $898,310 Okay so why is this stupid? Okongwu is that spot. So the second he signs the rookie contract for $4,844,700 (20% less than the hold), it fills that extra roster charge slot as well. They are double charged here for the same player. So technically, Okongwu will sign for $4.845 million but it equates to a cap hold of $6.7 million, which is a cap hold of $138% of what he'll eventually sign for. So the order you sign players plays a role in what you actually have.
  8. Being realistic, I see us wining 40 +/- 3 games. You still have to learn to win.

  10. If I let someone tell me I suck can I get a Traded Insult Exception to call out Ainge's hygiene as well?
  11. To be clear...is saying Danny Ainge sucks okay? Asking before I say it again so I know if the warning is coming.
  12. Deck the halls and screw you Boston. Fa la la la, Danny Ainge sucks. They wear green and are obnoxious, fa la la la, Danny Ainge sucks. Racist fans and lying sports nuts...fa la la, la la la. screw Danny Ainge. Here's to praying for parkay floor splinters fa la la la...la la...la la.
  13. Ah F/A season...where Hawks fans all gather together under the same tree of hating Boston.
  14. Because anyone who worships a team dressed in Sour Cream and Onion green isn't worth your time.
  15. I was clear early on that the Rondo offer was real and that the Hayward reports were too high (for us). Seethese cherry picked posts from me below. "This deal sends out 13.3 million in Dedmon before accepting in any salary. So as long as we take back less than $25 to $30 million (depending on your accountant) then we are definitely in the Hayward mix." and this " NO!" and "I was never onboard with Hayward. I felt the money was better spent elsewhere. I'd much rather get Gallo and Rondo for 1/2 of what Hayward is set to make this year. I wanted no part of committing to him for 3 years+" with "With the Danillo signing, we are at $26 million in cap space making a big deal less realistic." and " The Hawks only have a few trade chips left related to salary. Snell, Huerter, Fernando mostly. Technically, they could move some salary and take back a big one and then fill out the roster with vet contracts but IMHO it would be better to use that 26 million to sign 2 players then fill out with vet minimums and move snell at the trade deadline if things are going well." For those that have ears let them hear and for those that have eyes let them see (or read).
  16. The bids are closed. We had no was of knowing what the other teams were offering. We were in the race and effectively set the floor for offers. Let me clarify that. We aren't supposed to know what they offer and only have the agent or other team's word to go on. They can tell us they're getting 100 million from another squad but usually that's just bluster to get you to up your offer.
  17. https://www.yahoo.com/sports/report-celtics-pacers-offered-gordon-012631759.html Notice what team name is missing from the 100 million for Hayward club.
  18. There is a reason I stay vague with the things I'm told. I was given a list of about 12 possible offseason targets. If you go back and read just my posts, you'll see most of the big moving targets are people I name dropped in the threads from time to time. In my very honest opinion, I never saw them seriously going after Gallinari and never saw Sacramento letting him go. I never even hinted at that because I didn't see it happening or him agreeing. But its why I haven't ever shared anything. There was some stuff Supes dropped back at the trade deadline that people jumped on him for and I let it slip back then to a few on the board that I know a few people with ties. They aren't in the org but they get info. About 1/2 of it turns out to have legs. But you share anything and people only remember when you're wrong.
  19. I think people have him confused with Bojan. These are his first 3 years in the league. He's 28....there is no bigger "upside". This is who he is. I'll go on record now and say this was not a good idea. We overpaid with other options on the table. 20. Hawks are under the cap....it doesn't matter. It would be processed 1st or 2nd when submitted to the NBA accounting office and since we'd be under the cap there is no matching which means there is no BYC. " The BYC rules apply to a player who meets the following criteria in a sign-and-trade: He is a Bird or Early Bird free agent. His new salary is worth more than the minimum. He receives a raise greater than 20%. His team is at or above the cap immediately after the signing."
  21. As a short term solution, I could get behind this. Reddick allowed an 11.8 PER at the SG last year. He has 1 year left on his contract at 13 million. I am pretty sure he could be had for 2 x 2nds as N.O. could stand to clear a bit of cap room. He would be a very good vet presence, low risk type of a player and 3-5 million less that BB year 1, similar production, better defense.
  22. By comparison, Langston Galloway gave up a 16.5 PER at the SG last year. His numbers at the 1 and 3 are worse but if you're looking for SG numbers and want to develop the rooks. He is better money spent. GRIII was a train wreck defensively except at the 3 last year. But that could have a lot to do with the teams he was on and how they faired at the time. Tyler Johnson was very solid at the 2 and would be my pick for the extra body.
  23. I've never been a big fan of Bogdanovic. I see him as a role player. The point I think you're making is you don't give 18 million per year to someone unless they are a needle mover. Here are BB's needle mover stats from last year. As you can see, the team was almost a point better per 48 defensively with him off the floor and 2 points better with him on it offensively. He's a plus 1.2 points per 48 impact but he's not 18 million per season impact. His PER stats show he's giving up almost a 20 PER defensively at the 2. The only position he's a net positive PER is at Small Forward.
