  1. I'm pretty sure they're gonna move Love before the season starts. San Antonio was one rumored landing spot.
  2. https://www.nbcsports.com/boston/celtics/2020-nba-mock-draft-90-best-players-available-fit-team-needs?int So the top 10 here I'm really trying to figure out. Historically, NBC sports has been highly accurate with their mocks for the NBA...nailing the entire lottery in some years. But I'm not really following this from them. Anyone got insights why some of these teams would go the way NBC sports seems to think they'd go? 01 - Minnesota Timberwolves: Anthony Edwards, G, Georgia 02 - Golden State Warriors: Killian Hayes, G, International 03 - Charlotte Hornets: LaMelo Ball, G, International 04 - Chicago Bulls: Deni Avdija, F, International 05 - Cleveland Cavaliers: Obi Toppin, F, Dayton 06 - Atlanta Hawks: Isaac Okoro, F, Auburn 07 - Detroit Pistons: James Wiseman, C, Memphis 08 - New York Knicks: Devin Vassell, F, Florida State 09 - Washington Wizards: Onyeka Okongwu, F/C, USC 10 - Phoenix Suns: Tyrese Haliburton, wing, Iowa State
  3. Cleveland needs bodies...lots of them. Everything is a potential upgrade. The Drummond situation could put them in a need situation for a center.
  4. Explain...describing him as cool/detached is slander? Forget that...I read up higher and saw your original intent. The journalist was engaged in slander...got it.
  5. I'm on board with this. I don't want to trade assets for him, but if Edwards/Wiseman/Ball are available at 6 you draft them based on potential. If Okoro is who is there at 6 then you take him because what he provides is well known.
  6. So most people may no understand that the way you intended. Clarifying. Dedmon is owned 13.3 million for the upcoming season. He has a non-guaranteed contract of 13.3 million for 21-22 with a 1 million guarantee. Effictively those trading for Dedmon are trading for an expiring with a $1 million waive bomb at the end. That's incredibly attractive.
  7. To the point about Minny. If you don't ask for the moon, you can't get the moon. They of course are trying to drive up value. I said that's the price right now. I didn't say we were interested at that price.
  8. Huerter, Bruno and Dedmon seem to be the players people are inquiring about. Teams also ask about Hunter and its quickly spun to Huerter. This isn't because they prefer one player over the other, but because Hunter is locked up for 1 extra year at a low salary. Huerter vs Hunter is about cap flexibility for the Hawks. #6 and 2022 seems to be the trade package. The starting point to flip with Minny is 6, Huerter and 2022 unprotected 1st. There would be other moving pieces. Atlanta would absorb a contract from another team in exchange for them sending an asset to Minny. This conversation is not hot right now, but just one of many conversations Minnesota is having. Atlanta believes they have the flexibility to flip 1 into a better package for themselves for win now. PG13 is about the Clips trying to create space and retool, not about the Hawks desperately wanting PG13. We are just the best fit for them moving him. We will do it if they make it worth our while. This would also be a multi team deal. Hawks have talked with Boston, Miami, Brooklyn, Philly, Toronto and a few others. Hawks have choices right now and haven't moved because teams want to make use of the Hawks cap space. Hawks are in a sellers market. Don't expect anything major today. Expect other teams to dominate the rumor market.
  9. 2021 is going to be in the mid teens at best (barring a Trae injury). We'd give it up to get the right player.
  10. https://nba.nbcsports.com/2020/10/26/rumor-nba-free-agents-already-agreeing-to-deals/?partner=Yahoo Okay there is the preview article. Should have been out last week. Supes, call your boy. See if there's a bit of fire under the smoke.
  11. A smidge late but this is that trickle of information we were expecting last week. Looks like there is still confusion over when and how to announce things. Make no mistake, there has been stuff already done in the background. Some of it was in place 2 weeks ago. https://nba.nbcsports.com/2020/10/26/rumor-nba-free-agents-already-agreeing-to-deals/?partner=Yahoo
  12. https://www.nbaanalysis.net/2020/10/25/nba-draft-scout-brutally-honest-feedback-lamelo-ball/ To all interested, please read the above article on Lamelo Ball. An excerpt: "“Primary initiators need to have a respectable pull-up jumper to lead a great half-court offense. LaMelo (Ball) requires a complete overhaul in his mechanics. Not having a quick first-step will make it all the more challenging for him in the NBA." I've been pushing only 1 or 2 players in this whole draft and this article shows why. Ball is now considered the best prospect in this draft but as you can see, he is very flawed compared to the last 2 draft classes. I would be perfectly happy with the Hawks trading out of the lottery at this point as only 1 or 2 players in the top 13 make this team any better right now. Right now Edwards is not better than either Cam or Hunter or maybe even Huerter. Haliburton can be better than Teague but he's a project. Maybe only Wiseman could break the rotation and that's by year's end. Okoro and Toppin have potential but would be bench players for a minimum 2 years given our current setup. Read the short analysis and then remember that LaMelo might be the best this draft has to offer.
  13. I reserve the right to hijack any thread of my choosing to vent my own personal grievances. You have been warned. Also, what's up with airline food....Am I right?
  14. What if it's not acting? Some of us just ooze spiffy!
  15. The assumption is those things are mutually exclusive. I'll submit my vote when you offer something substantive to back up the assumption.
  16. Ahem...the rumor+++https://sports.yahoo.com/nba-rumors-agents-see-sixers-152758522.html
  17. No, I needed to hit a teeny, tiny little "expand". It wasn't shown at first on the post I read.
  18. Just needed to read a bit farther. The raise limit also applies to salary decreases -- for example, since the Larry Bird exception limits raises to 8% of the first-year salary, the salary may also decrease by up to 8% of the first-year salary.
  19. So if Toppin to Minny happens (and I'm not buying this story), expect non-sense and foolishness at the top of the draft as teams can finally get past Minny to line up for Ball. Edwards is getting interest again and if Toppin goes 1, Ball 2, then expect team to jump into trading discussions again. If Toppin goes 1, Edwards 2 expect the Knicks to trade up to 3/4.

  21. I think I've seen this on Youtube...hmm...now where was that???
  22. The interest level on the Cavs right now and a few other clubs is high enough I think we'll start seeing some of this in the main stream media between tomorrow and the end of the week.
  23. and nobody, not even Boston knows what Boston is doing right now. Their trading interest has been exceptionally low considering they have 3 picks and no where to put them.
  24. LOL...he was already on. Knicks are playing hardball and threatening to move down. Minny might have overplayed their hand....asking for too much. GS activity died down but still active. Chicago interest is real but like everyone doesn't like the asking price. Cavs became very active over the weekend. They seem to have a plan in place.
