  1. I think if I had to board it right now, My board would be 1. Edwards 2. Wiseman 3. Ball 4. Sell the pick and take the cap space to get a vet (see KB21 plan but without extremism )
  2. You know I agree with you way more than is healthy for my street cred....but if that pick lands us Edwards or Wiseman (or.....eh maybe Ball), it will be worth it. I'm thinking draft day trade is possibly where that pick is spent if one of those 3 aren't going to be available to us and probably only the 2 of them. So holding it to see how the 2nd half of the season shakes out is not a bad idea.
  3. Biggest benefit of Capela coming here. John won't be fouling out again any time soon. Way too much burden was put on him recently.
  4. Yep we are actually hearing things about 1 hour after the fact. News will trickle in over the next hour.
  5. Yes I do. Hey I'm working here. Correction. I have no idea what I mean.
  6. Atlanta out top 55 2nd round pick GS out Walton Jr + 1.3 million cash. That's the details.
  7. You know me. I want to see the eyes up aspect of his game. He's got a good mentor in Trae for this though. No need to play downhill 24x7. Get the defender on your hip for the easy foul. Drive to set up your teammates, not yourself. I firmly believe that last part is why Trae scores so much. Opposing bigs are so scared of the lob to a big, Trae gets the easy floater 5 times a game. His eyes up/pace get him those opportunities.
  8. Got. the answer I was looking for. No cap hit 2020/21 and 2.6 hit this year. So yah, depending on the slotting for our 1st round pick, about $53 million in Free agency. Assume Jeff back at $6-8 million, Bembry back at 5ish, not sure on if Jones is back if we draft big. So sign 2 and 40 millionish after that. Bobby Marks: Atlanta makes it official and has waived Nene. They will incur a $2.6M cap hit this season. His $2.7M salary for 2020/21 would have been guaranteed if he was not waived by Feb. 15. 2 hours ago – via Twitter BobbyMarks42
  9. Apologies if any of that wrong. I'm operating on a phone mid meeting.
  10. Nene officially waived. However even I really do t understand the cap implications. Let me explain. Nene's contract is for 2.7 million guaranteed and 3 possible bonuses. 1) 10 games played, 52 wins 2)25 games played, 52 wins 3) 40 games played, 52 wins. Houston's record as of today is 32. I honestly have no idea what the wins requirement ramifications are going forward but this looks like a d*ck move of the highest order. Nene played in 42 games reaching 1/2 of threshold 3. But will not be on the roster of either team for wins. Each threshold is worth 2.43 million in bonus. I think Houston just screwed him (and we helped) out of 7.3 million dollars. If I understand this right, his cap hit this year is now just 2.7 million and the same for next year because of the waive which I think we can accelerate into cap space this year. We wouldn't have that space if he gets his bonus. I am waiting on someone smarter than me to report on this but basically we just screwed a man out of 7 million and reclaimed all 10 million in cap space next year doing so. If that is the case, the way I'm reading the cap situation, we added 29 million in cap for next year (DEDMON, Capela) and if my math is right (not counting resigning Jeff, Bembry, Goodwin or Jones, that $55.5 million committed and about 59.9 million to spend (not counting holds. The draft pick will be 5-7 millionish. So really about $53 million to spend.
  11. I am not somewhere I can review this. Also, we dont know yet how the waiving of Parsons and possibly Nene plays out. I'm assuming we will eat it all this year and not spread it out. Also remember everyone on the roster st the end of the year has a cap hold until renounced or signed by another club.
  12. https://lakersoutsiders.com/2020/02/05/lakers-trade-dennis-Schröder-rumors-thunder/ Media gets things so late some times.
  13. Lakers...they were working on getting Schröder but failed....they're desperate to get a ball handler for the bench who can play a bit of D. doesn't need him to score.
  14. Man I need to go to bed enjoying this game though. So this / Dedmon thing was in the works for a while but other teams kept calling on Len (as I understand it) and the hip flexor thing. The 2 for 1 thing keeps me wondering about Nene and if he's got a purpose down the road. No word...just a feeling.
  15. They were trying to get Schröder but didn't have the right assets.
  16. ie...we may not be done yet. Supes, ask your guy about the Bembry goes west rumors....who is LA gonna get for that ball handler roll or is there no smoke yet.
  17. There's the Len trade.....were a couple other of teams trying to get him but all wanted to send us wings on contracts. Bembry is a like a 5th option with the Lakers among others (not their first choice). But he's gotten a bit of interest from teams needing a ball handler with defense....teams with enough shooters.
  18. We aren't done. Bembry, Len still getting interest.
  19. And you guys laughed at me when I mentioned this last week.
  20. They can waive those.....the deal will go through on time.
  21. Wondering if we are keeping Nene as emergency bench at this point.
  22. This is in line with what I said a week plus ago. He played a few games and it snuffed any possible trade value he could have had. Unlike Turner, he's likely done.
  23. Current Contract Nene Hilario signed a 2 year / $20,000,000 contract with the Houston Rockets, including $2,564,753 guaranteed, and an annual average salary of $10,000,000. In 2019-20, Hilario will earn a base salary of $2,564,753 and a incentive bonus of $7,435,247, while carrying a cap hit of $10,000,000 and a dead cap value of $2,564,753
  24. You're missing Capela
