  1. still trying to wrap my head around these things...so post trades we'd be Young/Teague/Goodwin Huerter/Reddish Wiggins/Hunter/Layman Collins/Carter/ Capella/Fernando Missing 2 players
  2. Covington instead works for Minny's salary but is too much for Houston...means another player has to be in the mix as well.
  3. Okay so the math Deangelo Russell = 27.285 million per year Wiggins = 27.27 million per year, Layman 3.58 million Turner 18.6 million Len 4.16, Parker 6.5 Capella 14.9 million Minny in $45.8 million, Minny Out $30.85 (not okay) GS in 27 million, out 27 million Atlanta in 18.58 million, Out 29 million (this is okay as it pushes Atlanta further under the cap) Houston in 10.66 million, out 14.9 million. Okay so here is the math problem. Minny in is about 6 million too much compared to math out., Houston in is about 3 million to low. There has to be another Minny player out and the only player close to the right salary is Jarrett Culver. So if what is being reported is true then Minny is giving up Culver to Houston which explains why they are getting picks. But it also means Houston is doing a 1 for 3 deal and will have to create roster spots and waive someone. Westbrook isn't in there...where did you get that?
  4. https://hoopshype.com/rumor/details-on-potential-four-way-swap-revealed/ Jabari Young: Learned of the 4-way trade discussion between #Rockets #Warriors #Timberwolves #Hawks this morning. Also told Evan Turner would be involved in the deal and would end up in Minny as of now. Russell for Wiggins, and Looney’s deal needs to apart too. Would keep GS from repeater tax
  5. Just reviving this....some of this is about to start getting announced. Supes, talk to your boy about Charlotte and Miami and what they're doing right now. Hint...this rumor has legs https://hoopshype.com/rumor/1315974/
  6. We're been used to get others to up their ante.
  7. Well 2-3 years from now we have choices to make to sign Collins, Trae.
  8. Pretending for a moment that Capella and Wiggins are inbound, that's about $46 million in salary next year. Assuming the Brooklyn pick is out the door that leaves about $24 million still to spend a top first round pick inbound and a starting lineup next year of Trae, Cam, Wiggins, Collins, Capella
  9. This is similar but more complicated than what I heard and Minny wasn't the primary partner.
  10. I need the pieces so I can see how this works with the cap? Turner and Teague are the only other pieces over 7 million we have to give. If Hunter, Reddish or Huerter are included....I'm befuddled?
  11. Hold on. You cant take on Wiggins and his 27 million salary without Parsons going out. So if I understand this, its Len, Parker, Parsons for Capella, Wiggins? + whatever other moving pieces per team. Am I getting this right?
  12. Or send out 25.52 mil to receive 32 125% of the lower, not high number + 100,000
  13. Okay so that's in motion now?
  14. Any deal where you take on Love's contract sees you getting back something and them getting cap relief contracts. Not you sending 1sts? What's the emoji for WTF? A deal for Love would be something like Turner and Parker for Love + future 1st from Cleveland (lottery protected). They do it to clear $30 million off the books going forward and a rental in Parker. We do it for the future 1st to use as trade fodder later and to add another big body that can rebound. With going on $70 million available for next year, someone has to take that money. Plus in 2 years we spin Love for cap relief when he's an expiring. You really are only taking on 2 years of Love.
  15. I already explained all of this. The Collins stuff is just clickbait
  16. That really depends on who we give up. Currently we have lots of expirings and all of our fixed contracts are for lower amounts. Taking on Adams returns that flexibility after year 2. But Capella locks in a reasonable salary for 2 additional years. Because we are "under" the cap and way under the cap next year which is the year that matters now. You would say Adams. Now going forward, we have to resign Trae, Collins, Heurter, Reddish and Hunter in 2-4 years. Adams salary off the books makes resigning our up and coming players easier. Although Capella's deal is appealing....you have to look at the long term. Adams gives you 2 years to develop your own Capella.
  17. one sec while I hide this button.......yes it is odd...probably a secret operative. Maybe Ukraine...yah, they're easy to blame...lets go with Ukraine.
  18. Well the thing holding it up is the West is going through LA this year. Everyone is looking to add a big to try to lessen the impact of the Laker's size and athleticism as well as rumor is that the Clippers are in the market for a bigger big for the same reason. So all roads go through LA in the West. In the East, everyone wants a shot blocker to force the Bucks onto the perimeter. So the big market was expensive but no one bit so teams are starting to pucker.
  19. I'm speaking numbers....he asked what would work...those are the only possible packages for that salary range on 1 player we can offer.
  20. Supes, you hearing what I'm hearing about teams moving off their trade demands for centers now? Less give to get?
  21. Capella makes 14.9 mil per season. Salaries need to be between 9.9 and 19.9 million going out from the Hawks. Turner or Teague or Crabbe + picks works. Parker + Len works + picks Hunter + a few others works. Because of Houston's cap situation, those are the only trades that would work salary wise.
  22. There is absolutely "ZERO" truth to this rumor. Forget that Collins is a 20/10 guy at just 22 years old. Collins is also on a 2.7 million dollar contract this year and has a team option at 4 million next year. Player value is a matrix of stats, fit and salary. If trade value was on a scale of 1-100 he's about a 97 based on salary vs production and fit. There isn't a package anyone could put out to us that would equal his value without giving us their next 4 1st rounders every other year and a glue piece. That's how valuable he would be to a contender down the stretch and going into next year. This rumor came based on the fan boards in Houston saying they could trade Capella for Collins and Reddish. Forget that Capella makes 6 times what Collins makes, the premise here shows that Bucher is just making stuff up for click bait and then wannabe writers are picking it up as if its fact. There is less than Zero truth to this.
  23. I am very much looking forward to summer league this year. Here's to hoping Humter works on his handles and rotation awareness. Summer league this year should feature Goodwin, redfish, hunter, fernando, 2 firsts.
