  1. " Who are the Top 5 most likely landing spots for Andre Drummond? James Edwards: Atlanta, Dallas (who could use a physical big man next to Porzingis and him and Porzingis are friends), Toronto (I’ve heard Masai has liked him for a long time and obviously, Marc Gasol and Serge Ibaka are both expiring contracts; him and Kyle Lowry are friends), people say Boston, just because they think they need the center, but I don’t see that one working. 3 hours ago – via Warriors All 82" From Hoopshype rumors
  2. Actually no on the just sign him thing. It is easier to sign someone once they've moved to your city and know their fit. But if you look at what Atlanta has next year, getting Drummond is as much about convincing the next domino to fall than it is about Drummond. What follows is the expected room under the LT each team has next year....given the team does not sign any of each free agents and their player options don't opt in. In the Hawks case, it isn't that they have to convince "someone" to take their money. Its that they have to convince several someones. Getting Drummond eases the answer for the next someone. The road gets easier if they add a player and show promise in the 2nd half of the season. 1 Atlanta Hawks $107,630,997 2 Memphis Grizzlies $82,897,986 3 Cleveland Cavaliers $62,251,877 4 Charlotte Hornets $60,032,424 5 New Orleans Pelicans $57,869,012 6 Toronto Raptors $54,403,740 7 Phoenix Suns $49,230,605 8 Washington Wizards $43,250,530 9 New York Knicks $42,402,796 10 Portland Trail Blazers $41,662,399 11 Detroit Pistons $38,500,922
  3. All I can say is I'm tired of losing because of rebounding. The Lakers, Utah, Celtics, Cavaliers games all had one thing in common. We lost a close game and got out rebounded between 6-13 rebounds in the game. We lost to the Knicks...the F'ing Knicks by 23 and were out-rebounded by 17. We have only 1 guy on the team averaging more than 6 rebounds per game and he was suspended for 25 games. Drummond would instantly be leading the teams in Rebounds, Blocks and Steals. Pay the man and lets start building this. We have 60 million to burn. 4. That you are on team AHF just gave me a swell of confidence. Thank you sir!
  5. The test is very difficult by the way...inch deep but a mile wide and unlike other certs, highly secretive so you have to know it...there is no memorizing answers to pass. Every question engages in obfuscation. Goes something like this. Alex Len is a Network Analyst for a large legal firm. Yesterday he ate a bologna sandwich for lunch and engages in small talk with the receptionist after hours. Because of his role, he can sometimes be seen engaging in wrestling matches with large men in downtown Atlanta.....Knowing this what brand of underwear does he wear on a date. Yes, they are that weird sometimes.
  6. Need to think more creatively here...in mine and AFH's cases...it will be like kissing a hobo who just ate from the trash.
  7. oing the math, the salary cap is $116 million next year. 15 man roster...that's 7.73 million per player. When you consider the bottom 8 players on every roster are on rookie, vet min or excemption salaries....The real average for rotation players is about $13 million. Our vision is skewed because we've underpaid our starters for years. He's a starting 5 on about 6-8 rosters right now.

  10. Most important win there is no one touches my avatar with Mama on it.
  11. Nothing like a public negotiation. I said $10 million or more. You want to make the push between $10 and $12 million. Now if you really want to show some stones you'd make the bet at $10 million as originally stated. So even though you know I don't normally bet, greater than $10 million I win, less than $10 million you win. Bet is null and void if Len misses > 25% of the remaining season due to injury, trade for a greater big man which impacts his value or if Len is traded by the deadline and instead of an avatar change how about this. For 3 days loser will have to like the posts of the winner no matter much they disagree. Each and every post, up and to the limit of daily likes. The loser will also have to respond with "I agree".
  12. I assume all the risk from injury or hometown discount
  13. Ridiculous bet. Too much can happen between now and then.
  14. Len is an absolute bargain right now and is in his final year. Len will command at least 10 million next year on the free agent market and maybe as much as $15 million. Think this through man. Dedmom got $13 million a year and is a smidge less than Len. PER 36 this season Dedmon = 12.7 pts, 10 reb (similar to last year except points were 15.5) Len = 17 pts, 11 reb Drummond = 18.9 pts, 17 reb Len got his current contract because he was backing up Tyson Chandler and had a disappointing start to his career after being used poorly by Phoenix (see my notes around the time we made the trade). There is no universe where you can sign a player of Alex Len's ability and age for 4 million a season. Len will comman a bare minimum $10 million on the open market next year. Drummond will command at least $20 million and maybe as high as $30 million. Drummond is not Davis or Cousins in his prime. But his offense game has improved dramatically over the past 2 seasons and he is a very reliable passer. His turnover numbers are indicative of how often Detroit trusts him with the ball in his hands. He won't have that here in Atlanta. The last 2 games prove we need a small push to get over the hump. We have lost at least 10 games this year in the final minutes and a player of Drummond's caliber with Len coming off the bench would have made all the difference. Example of the Drummond effect is that Drummond is a legit low post presence. He is not going to free up Trae or Collins but he will force constant attention and will free up Cam/Hunter/Huerter for less contested 3's. Someone like Drummond down low could mean an increase of team 3 percentage of 3 to 4 % and that would mean 3 or more points a game alone.
  15. @gray mule. Why the Pistons trade him. The Blake Griffin deal and other moves are choking their cap. They are currently $500k into he LT and they want out of the repeat offender cycle. As long as he isn't signed by another team in the off season, he ties up his entire max contract cap number and it means they cant do anything offseasons. If they trade him and cut the received player before the end of the season, they 1) avoid the LT and 2) start free agency next year with space. Word is they will take space, 1 young developing player like Huerter and the Nets pick. Turner, Huerter and our other 1st this year gets it done.
  16. Now for the effect he brings. Drummond should effectively lead to a few more rim buckets than Len. He should lead to a few more boards which limits fast break opportunities. He should also allow our edge guys to play tighter D, knowing Drummond is a far better defensive presence than Len. If you can swing Drummond without giving up Len or Bruno, and only trading our expiring and or Jones, this is an impact no brainers. Trae Young made Damion Jones look legit. What could he do for Drummond?
  17. If there are players that are worth a max, Drummond's deal actually clarifies that picture for future free agents.
  18. Let's look at it like this. Next year we will have 51-60 million in cap space. We have to spend it somewhere. The Nets draft pick will be about 2.5 .million in space. If Drummond gets us to draft slot 10 but not playoffs, it saves us another 4 million. If you are suggesting there aren't players worth that salary next year, then Drummond is your option.
  19. A mistake I'm sure. Let's not forget Drummond's largest failing. https://hollywoodlife.com/2014/03/03/jennette-mccurdy-breakup-andre-drummond-bad-kisser-boyfriend/
  20. and would mean a trade of Parsons and Turner this year + Nets 1st....Not a bad deal at all Snell and morris are tradable and usable both
